Chapter 30 - "Honey, is everything, okay?"

The smile on Camilie's face stiffened a little but she quickly recovered and put on a pitiful act. She tried to reach for Amalie's hand but Amalie's reflexes were too quick.

She moved her hand away from Camilie swiftly her eyes as though looking at a stranger. "Sister you... I know you still love him so much that's why you are still upset with me. We broke up a long time ago so don't be mad anymore," she said and Doris couldn't help but retort,

"Like a week later."

Camilie, "..."

Yes, that relationship didn't last a week but it did produce a child. She never thought that the bastard would ghost her immediately after and show up two days later with some influencer at a resort.

She thought she was different and that he would love her enough to let go of other women but just like her sister she was dumped by that man. Her situation was even more embarrassing than her sister's. Doris' words struck a nerve but she still put on a smile.

"We are born from the same father and are the only two relatives left in this world. We shouldn't let a man break us up. We are family. Father would be so disappointed if he finds out his two little girls aren't getting along," she said and the two ladies almost burst out in laughter. This Camilie woman was so shameless.

"No, we aren't sisters anymore and father wouldn't care. He said it on his deathbed. Whether we remained sisters or not was all up to us and I chose to sever our relationship. Now if you have nothing else to say then leave," replied Amalie her expression that of a person who was done talking.

Camilie clenched her fist tightly unable to contain the feeling rising from her chest. She never wanted her sister to live a day in peace but now that she had no way in as she had been cut off it was extremely difficult to get to her.

She had seen her posts online of this restaurant and guessed they would be there. As it so happens she also had plans to have dinner with her daughter and her new boyfriend so when they asked her where to meet she also picked this restaurant.

She just didn't expect to find them in a jovial mood and dressed to kill. They were obviously celebrating something. When she saw the sash across Quinn's chest she was shocked. She knew her niece had violent tendencies and was very hard to get along with but she didn't think there would be any man interested in her however beautiful she was.

She was the type to beat her husband so who would want her? Who had these two deceived?

"Sister, what's the rush? Since we know each other how about I join you?" she said but Quinn who had been silent this entire time grabbed the steak knife on the table and stabbed it straight into the table before getting up abruptly like she was going to beat someone.

"Hey hey hey QQ calmed down," said Kaya while hugging Quinn from behind pressing her arms down and Kaya patting Quinn's shoulders.

Camilie who was frightened just now took a step back before pointing at Quinn tremblingly. "Ama, restrain your dog," she yelled and the commotion had already attracted other guests' attention.

Amalie sneered as she picked up the knife on the table and studied it with her cold steely eyes. She stepped forward and whispered, "Like you said I have nothing to lose and I can sure as hell take you down with me... Now get the hell out of my face," she said her voice sending a severe chill inside her body seeping deep into her bones.

Camilie swallowed her saliva and was about to take a small step back when she heard the soft cries of her daughter.

Unlike Camilie, Ivy was on the timid side with a weak personality and delicate features. She was the type that could faint easily if she stood in the sun for too long and had so many allergies that were very difficult to keep up with.

She was what plenty would describe as a sickly beauty that others treated like precious porcelain. When compared with Quinn they were worlds apart. This also meant that if she was crying or anything Quinn would be the one blamed even if she did nothing wrong. Their grandfather treated the two of them differently. Quinn wasn't allowed to have a childhood but Ivy was spoilt rotten by that vile old man.

Her grandfather would then ask her, "Do you feel angry? Are you jealous?" If she nodded her head he would say, "Then learn to deal with it. Suppress it. When you deal with people you don't like you will need to keep smiling. Never show your true feelings. Do you understand?"

Thinking about it Quinn couldn't help but clench her fists. She calmed herself down forcibly and pat Doris' hand to let her go. After that, she sat down obediently.

"Hello auntie Ama," said the sweet voice that really had no fault.

"Ivy, take your mother and leave," replied Amalie not willing to entertain this pair of mother and daughter any longer but a hoarse voice suddenly interrupted them.

"Honey, is everything, okay?" said the man as he walked over to that table. He had gone back to the parking bay to grab Camilie's present thus he came a little late.

When he didn't see them at their table he went to look for them. He just didn't think he would find them where all the commotion was.

He rushed over thinking there was going to be a fight but when he saw a familiar face his steps paused. "QQ," he called out familiarly and Quinn gnashed her teeth in anger.

"Today was really a shitty day to come out. I should have checked my horoscope," mumbled Kaya. It was one storm after another which was considered unlucky, especially on such a happy occasion.
