Josh saw how the other woman who was pinned to the wall was struggling, he noticed the glaring change in her skin colour and he immediately reacted in panic. With his eyes warily staring at Jesy, he held her hand softly to gain her attention but the latter's eyes were set on the person pinned to the wall. Josh held her hands and tried to peel her strong grip away from Lexi's neck.
Though it took time and strength he successfully removed Jesy's hands from Lexi's neck after so much struggling.
Jesy whose eyes never left Lexi finally turned. She had first noticed the presence of another person around her but she refused to acknowledge it when she didn't notice a threat, she was bent on ending her living misery which was Lexi without holding back but when she felt a finger wrapped itself around her hands she stirred ever so lightly but refused to turn to the owner of the fingers that were carefully wrapped around her hands. Jesy felt the fingers trying to pull her away from Lexi and she quickly started struggling, she wasn't in her right state of mind.
Jesy turned her body at a tranced pace and her deep dark empty eyes fell on the figure that stood beside her and was securely holding the one person she wanted to end in his arms. Her dark long hair danced with the unsteady rhythm of the night breeze, her colourless lips were set on a thin line as her dark eyes failed to recognize the male figure standing beside her.
Immediately Lexi felt the grip on her neck loosen, she quickly grabbed onto the arms of Josh and collapsed on him while she held her neck and kept gasping for air. The movement was so sudden and it stunned Josh who was about to take a step closer to Jesy, he wanted to push Lexi away to stand before Jesy because he had something important to say to her but seeing how pitiful Lexi was in his arms as she tried to catch her breath, he decided to wait till Lexi was in a better state.
But Jesy cared less about what state Lexi was in, she barely looked at the male standing beside her since he had no business with her, she thought. Jesy turned around and began walking in the direction of the front door without bothering or even thinking about what she just did. This was just to simply serve as a warning to Lexi, and next time would be worse, well, that was if Lexi would still be stupid for the next time.
When Josh saw the retreating back of Jesy, he felt pained and angry at himself, he had hurt her badly but it was never his intention from the start. His feelings for her were genuine but he screwed up big time. The night Jesy caught him sleeping with another woman was the worse night of his life. Guilt filled his whole being as he felt a lump in his throat. He was a playboy but the moment he met Jesy, he swore to repent and remain loyal to her but he couldn't keep to his words.
"Jesy."
His voice, smooth like butter, rang out in the quiet night. He couldn't bear to see her leave him, it was unbearable. He knew she had every right to be angry and he didn't mind it at all but the thought of her leaving him was a no-no.
Jesy heard her name being called out and she stopped but she never turned the slightest, seconds ticked by but she made no movement it gave Josh a little bit of hope but that tiny hope was dashed when he saw her feet move forward and she walked out of his sight into the house without even looking at him for a brief second.
Josh wanted so much to chase after Jesy but he suddenly remembered the person in his arms. Josh looked down to see how red Lexi's face was and she was silently sobbing with tears rolling down her cheeks, he was left baffled about which decision to make but he figured it was useless because Jesy was nowhere in sight and he knew that if he entered the house after her, it will only ignite her anger towards him. He let out a tired sigh as regret washed over him.
"I think it's time you let go, she'd never return to you."
Josh turned his head in the direction of the voice, it was the woman he caught earlier in his arms when she was falling, her words made him angry but it was somehow the truth but he refused to believe it, not until he confirmed it himself and even if he did confirmed it, he wouldn't stop trying till she would forgive him and get back with him.
Lydia was very much angry, she was beginning to hate Jesy more than before, she had disliked Jesy for no reason before but now she had one reason for hating Jesy and she was already swearing to get her revenge on Jesy for pushing her. Her eyes fell on Lexi who was quietly sobbing and she clenched her fist with gritted teeth, she couldn't believe Jesy could act like a maniac and almost kill Lexi. She looked at Josh and from his expression, she understood who he was, the infamous boyfriend or was it, ex-boyfriend.
Her eyes took in his handsome features and she sneered, how can a stupid person like Jesy have such a rich and handsome boyfriend? And then she spoke but saw how he ignored her but she wouldn't back down yet.
"Jesy has always been that way, she hates her very own sister and never misses the opportunity to lash out at either me or Lexi and someone like you doesn't deserve her, you saw just how crazy she can be yourself."
Josh had wanted to just ignore the woman but hearing the words she was spouting made him turn towards her with a deep frown on his eyebrows.
