" Here we are," Anwir brought Damien to a greenhouse that didn't have the usual roses or lilies growing, no instead the entire greenhouse was filled with plants that have barks and stems as black as coal and the flowers upon them looked Dark and sinister, as if they were going to breathe fire any moment.
Anwir pushed the door of the greenhouse before stepping aside as he motioned for Damien to get inside. " Please step in, young master Damien. I will bring the young lady in a minute or so, she isn't far from her."
He pointed to the small tea table that sat in the middle of a white marble stone platform and said, " You can sit there and wait for young lady," with that he turned around to leave but then he paused and added swiftly, " And make sure to stay away from the howl crawler," his finger changed direction as he pointed at the tall plant with flowers that were silvery and big enough for a human to sit inside. "It's hungry at the moment, other than young miss no one else can feed it. In case you attract its attention before I or the young lady return then you might as well tell me the colour of coffin you would like your pieces of body to be buried into."
Damien immediately took a few steps away from the howl crawler and said in a soft and squeaky voice, " No, thanks I will like to keep my body intact."
" Then please take care." Anwir bowed slightly as he slipped out of the greenhouse leaving Damien with a bunch of human-eating flowers.
Damien waited until he could no longer hear Anwir's footsteps before he turned around and grabbed hold of his head and crouched down on the floor. " Fckkkk, I have to get out of here! There are land mines at every freaking step, if this goes on then I would definitely lose my life!"
But how? How was he supposed to get away from this hellish place? He didn't know any idea how to open a dimension that would bring him back to his world and if he was to run away from this palace then he wouldn't be able to survive any longer than an ant trying to survive in a giant's mansion.
What he needed was to make sure that the duke send him back to his world on his own.
However, the crux of the matter was how should he do that. And that was when it hit him.
" Of course! Why didn't I think of it sooner?" He exclaimed.
Damien thought long and hard before finally coming to a conclusion, he was going to make Duke Demon's daughter hate him. As long as she was to hate him then it was an easy peasy job, if the woman was to tell her father that she didn't want him then the Duke would have to send him back. As for what he will do with his parents, Damien didn't care.
Anyway, he wasn't the one who came up with that ridiculous deal. Who asked those heartless jerks to sell him off like that?
" I just have to make sure that the duke's daughter falls out of love with me," Damien murmured as he paced around the tea table with his fingers tapping on his chin. " So, what kind of men do women hate?" He asked no one in particular.
Even though Damien was a healthy young boy in the eighteenth year of his life, he didn't have much experience with women. The girls in his class wanted someone more stable at least someone who could bring them to dates every Saturday, Damien couldn't do that.
He was too busy saving for his rent and he was often caught up in messes that young girls tended to avoid, there was one time when he was caught by his classmates when he was working for a mafia lady and then rumours about him having a sugar mommy spread all over.
" Poor, unstable and messy life, a playboy with a disrespectful attitude, girls tend to avoid such men," he counted everything off his fingers as he nodded along. "All right, then I will just have to play the role of a typical bad boy, right? Surely, she will avoid me then?"
Damien thought that he was very smart even though he was sold by his parents to a big, bad demon, his brain was functioning all right.
With that he dragged the chair and sat down on it before he ruffled his hair, shrugged off his jacket and then popped a few buttons of his shirt, giving himself the languid and sensual touch as he lazily leaned back on the chair and then placed his other leg on top of the other one.
As soon as that woman walks inside the greenhouse, he will greet her rudely. Yes, rudely.
He started shaking his legs in an extra effort of making himself look like the bad guy when he heard the sound of hurried footsteps coming towards the greenhouse.
Rudely, he has to treat her rudely.
Damien has always been respectful of women despite having a very bad experience with his mother. Which was why he had to remind himself that he needed to be rude to the girl who was going to enter the greenhouse any moment now.
Shouldn't be hard, no matter how beautiful she was, she was still a demon.
When the door opened, Damien didn't look at the person who was walking towards him at once, instead, he rolled his eyes and twisted his neck before opening his mouth as he began, " You are late——" however the rest of his words were stuck in his mouth when his gaze fell on the girl who was walking towards him.
With hair as black as her father and an ombré touch of violet to the other half of her long hair that reached to her waist, eyes that were the shade of freshly ripe grapes and dressed in a cute yet sensual black dress that showed off her back and front along with her tiny waist, the demon girl tilted her head and smiled at Damien. " I am sorry for being late."
