Chapter 6 - SOCERRY

The little girl looked terrified. Ceaser felt the urge to console her so he moved forward. She looked so fragile; like she could shatter if she fell. Her eyes were just gray enough to be noticed at a glance. Her skin looked glassy and soft. Her lips were slightly parted and to the little boy they looked like they had been painted red to show how white and perfectly lined her teeth were. She was a few inches shorter than him; he could tell. Her white hair was tied in a loose braid that was drapped over her left shoulder. Her white gown had a little tail that made it look like a wedding gown but wierdly enough he liked it on her. He extended his slightly larger hand to her and when she didn't take it, he took her hand in his own and felt her warmth.

Ceaser put on a charming smile so that she could feel comfortable because she was shivering. She pulled her hand away from him and screamed in his face. Ceaser's face contorted from the discomfort her loud pitched voice had caused him. As soon as she was free from his grip, she held the front of her gown and turned to run. She took of in a sprint before he could stop her. He ran after her and some of the guards who were headed in that direction,. They were rushing to see what was going on. First they heard a man scream then the princess scream. They stopped because they thought they were playing because the princess never spoke new people but here she was playing tag.

Ceaser ran quickly but she was quicker. He had never seen any girl ran before; wasn't it considered a man's characteristic? He stopped and took a few deep breaths before he continued chasing after her. The girl went out of the palace and ran to a lone tower not too far from it. Ceaser stopped running and he started to look at the beautiful flowers that grew just outside the

tower.

Inside, the guards who had witnessed the man's tongue falling out without even a drop of blood had started looking for Ceaser. One guard ran into King Napoleon with King Solemn. He explained was had happened and the two royals were left pale faced; more so for Solemn.

"Where is the devil?" Napoleon asked as he started to regain composure.

"He went after the princess, Sire, which is why we are hastening our moves." he answered and immediately took into a sprint.

Napoleon felt glued to the ground. His little angel? He started to run in the direction of her tower were he was sure she would have gone for refuge. he ran quickly and almost fell down the stairs. He was swift enough to catch himself before falling then he continued running.

"We caught the boy! Tell his Majesty that we found the boy!"

Ceaser was screaming at the top of his voice for his mother to save him. He was held by one burly palace guard who didn't even move with how much the boy was struggling. Terra came running out of the palace only to be stopped by Solemn. At the same time, Napoleon arrived there with his wife, Queen Rakka. Rakka had a hand supporting her lower back from the weight of her enlarged belly. She looked pale and wore heavy makeup to his the wrinkles that were forming on her face.

"Where's the princess?" Napoleon asked while his eyes swept across the garden.

"She is in her tower, Sire."

"Good." he said with a loud sigh.

Terra managed to push Solemn away and run to Ceaser who was no longer kicking it shouting. She looked at the man holding her son trying to see if he felt sorry for the boy. Instead, the man's expression was hard with disregard and disgust. She tried pushing his hand away but then he twisted one of her fingers in a swift motion and this made her cry out.

" Mother!" the boy exclaimed," What have you done to her?"

The man scoffed and pushed Ceaser to the ground. He quickly scampered to his mother who was on the ground crying. He turned to Napoleon and raised his hand to point. But he didn't point at Napoleon, instead he pointed at Rakka. He kept his gaze on Napoleon and was about to speak when Terra covered his mouth with her injured hand while she pulled him to herself with the other.

" What is this, Terra? You brought me a devil to marry my daughter!" Rakka said in a pained tone.

"He's not a devil, Rakka. Don't exaggerate things. He did nothing to that man or to your daughter." Terra defended.

" Then how do you explain what happened to that man? Why would he..." she stopped speaking when a wave of pain erupted in her womb.

Napoleon and all the servants of the palace started to panic on seeing Rakka's expression. Was she in labour? One second Rakka was pregnant and in the other, the bulge that was evidently present disappeared. Rakka screamed and Napoleon gave the order Terra had feared would come.

"Burn the devil to death!"

Ceaser was scooped up by Terra who kept on pleading and begging that the let her son go. Napoleon took a sword from one of the guards and charged at the boy.

Ceaser didn't want his mother to get hurt so he pushed her away and started running. Napoleon followed him with his men behind him. Ceaser didn't know where to go so he just started dodging the hands the were about to reach him. One man successfully held onto his shirt and tried pulling him but the boy took off the shirt and continued running. Somehow, Napoleon caught him and was about to cut through him when one guard was pushed in front of him and he took the blade to the heart. Napoleon pulled out the sword and started shouting orders for the men to take hold of the devil.
