Aakesh read his status panel with complete focus. The first few sections were already known to him, so he went past them after casually taking a glance.

Aakesh couldn't help but be proud and disappointed at the same time after seeing his attributes. If the stat gains from the equipment were taken out of the picture, his strength, agility, and endurance were below four, while his intelligence almost reached ten.

The contrast between his attributes couldn't be any more clear.

Aakesh's back turned wet with sweat, thinking what would have his strength if not for the past month of training.

But then he was also proud. With the help of the Ring of Abundance, his attributes had reached an unprecedented height. Aakesh didn't believe that there would be any other adventurer with higher attributes than him at this point in the game.

After attributes, the status panel showed him his HP and MP.

The formula was simple for them. HP referred to endurance, while MP was related to intelligence. Since these two stats were equal in numeric value and the highest for Aakesh, both his MP and HP were 150.

After HP and MP, the status panel focused on his power.

Physical attack power was the sum of strength and half of agility; Magical attack power was intelligence; Defense was the sum of endurance and half of strength; Attack speed was the sum of agility and half of strength; Movement speed was the sum of agility and half of endurance.

Except for intelligence, the three other attributes were co-linked to each other, forming a complete system for adventurers in Panagea.

Since Aakesh had leveled up from Level 0 to Level 1, he had four free attribute points left.

Myth Online was unlike any other game, as players couldn't get a class from the beginning. Even for the initial class, they needed to work hard and find one for themselves, according to their attributes and needs.

The same was the case for weapon mastery. Aakesh had no skills or weapon mastery since he didn't get any at the beginning.

Since Aakesh had already read his equipment details, the status panel came to an end.

Aakesh had calmed down at the end since he couldn't let his excitement cloud his judgment.

Manish had taken rebirth several times, so it meant that he also came with future knowledge. Despite that, he failed to change the future.

The task for Aakesh was even tougher since he himself didn't have future knowledge; he depended upon the diary left by his brother. He couldn't let overconfidence ruin his judgment, as it was only the beginning.

Aakesh took a deep breath and looked at the status once again. This time, looking at his free attribute points.

Since Aakesh wasn't a usual gamer and whatever he knew about the games came from the internet, he didn't know where to put his free attribute points.

His strength was the lowest of all the attributes, so it would make sense if Aakesh put all four points into it. But at the same time, Aakesh also wanted to increase his survivability rate, so putting all four points in agility also made sense.

"Urgh!" Aakesh couldn't help but groan in frustration as he couldn't get an answer.

A thought of checking the diary appeared in his mind, but Aakesh decided to let it be. He couldn't become overly dependent on the diary.

Manish died despite having future knowledge, so he needed to add to the diary to change the future and revive his brother. If he even took the diary's help to achieve something this minor, he would never be able to do anything different than what his brother did and died at the end.

It was good that Aakesh didn't check the diary since it didn't contain anything about the point distribution. Even Manish knew if he controlled everything, the result would be the same in the end.

"Let's save one point for the future and distribute three of them," Aakesh mumbled after thinking about it for a few minutes.

The next moment, he added two points to his strength and one point to his agility, making both agility and strength equal.

The status panel changed in front of Aakesh's eyes.

Attributes:

Strength: 11(+6)

Agility: 11(+6)

Intelligence: 15(+6)

Endurance: 15(+11)

HP: 150/150

MP: 150/150

Physical Attack power: 16(11+5)

Magical Attack power: 15

Defense: 20(15+5)

Attack Speed: 16(11+5)

Movement Speed: 18(11+7)

Free Attribute points: 1

Aakesh took a deep breath and then returned his focus to the Level and XP section.

He was currently a Level 1 adventurer and needed 100 XP to level up to the next level.

In the status screen, there was a small question mark next to the XP section.

When Aakesh clicked on it, a new window containing the formula for XP calculation for every level and the XP gain from the game appeared in front of him.

The formula to calculate the number of XP required to level up was simple. It was the product of level and the sum of hundreds corresponding to the Level.

For example: if an adventurer was Level 4, he would need (4(100+100+100+100)) XP, which was 1600.

(A/N: For math simpletons, it could also be Level x (Level × 100).)

There was only one exception to the formula, and that was the XP required for leveling up from Level 0 to Level 1. It was fixed at ten XPs.

The game system was clear about the number of XPs gained from killing other adventurers or NPCs.

If the adventurer killed someone below their level, there would be no gain of XPs.

If the adventurer killed someone of their own level, the XP gain was fixed at one XP, irrespective of the level of the adventurer.

If the adventurer killed someone with a higher level than their own, there was a fixed formula for that. It was the product of the level difference and one hundred, and then the result divided by two. For example, if a Level 5 adventurer killed a level 8 adventurer/NPC/beast, they would gain 150 XP.

(A/N: (Level-difference * 100)/2.)

There were also bonus gains if the level difference exceeded by a fixed margin.

If the level difference is greater than ten but below twenty-five, the XP gain would be 150%.

If the level difference is greater than twenty-five but below fifty, the XP gain would be 200%.

If the level difference is greater than fifty but below one hundred, the XP gain would be 250%.

If the level difference is greater than one-hundred, the XP gain would be 300%.

(End of the Chapter.)

A/N: Let's discuss about what class Aakesh is going to choose. If you have your opinions, please comment and also why do you think it should be. I already have a class fixed for Aakesh, but if I get some classes I likes, I may make other important characters choose them.
