Chereads / My Nerd Mate: I Won't Let Her Go / Chapter 45 - She Missed Him

Chapter 45 - She Missed Him

Aurora finished training and sharpened her blade like she always does. She finished and tugged the blade inside the belt on her waist. Her acquaintances bowed to her as she made her way out of the field. She hurried into the pack building but when she remembered she needed to greet her grandmother, she veered around and strolled out of the pack building to the parking lot. Even when her cottage was a few meters away from the pack building, she decided to take her car with her.

She pulled the door of her Porsche open and went in. She ignited her car key and turned her car on. Then she screeched backwards to reverse and when she had made a complete three-sixty-degree turn, she drove out of the pack building.

On her way, she decided to get something for Sora and she had to turn back to visit the market. On getting to the market, she got lots of fruit, chocolate and many more things that her grandmother liked. She loaded them all into her car and drove home.

When she got to the front of her house, she jerked her car to a stop without putting the engine off and went out to open the gate. She returned to her car and drove into her cottage. She put off the engine this time and left to close the door.

She gathered everything she had bought for Sora and carried them in. The blaring of music filled her ears the moment she thrust the entrance door open. She heaved a stressed sigh. Sora always loved music and each time she was at home, she always made sure she played some music.

"Mrs Sora?" Aurora called, making her way to their kitchen to drop off all she had bought. She returned to the sitting room and went in search of Sora who didn't answer her after calling her name close to ten times.

She gently turned the door lobe of her room to push it open. She pushed her head through the little space she had created and let her eyes roam around the room. As she had expected, she met her grandmother meditating. She decided not to disturb Sora and returned to the sitting room to wait for her. She wished she could join in the meditation but she couldn't, knowing she wouldn't focus.

She missed her mate a lot but she didn't want to miss him too much. He had gone out to fulfil his duties and she was happy he didn't stop because of her.

She felt hungry and ran to the kitchen to prepare noodles. While preparing it, she shifted to the large fridge in the sitting room. She opened it and saw a lot of her favourite biscuits. She didn't hesitate to pick out some to taste since she hadn't gotten time to shop at her new home. She mulched on her snacks and waited for her noodles to cook.

One hour later, after she finished having breakfast, she was already watching TV shows and programmes. She watched them and lost interest soon later when she thought couldn't leave Sage. If she was to smile broadly, it would be because he was around.

Sora finally came out of her room and Aurora leapt at her. "What caused my death, right?"

"I miss you so much, Mrs Sora," Aurora conceded and grinned widely at her.

Sora disengaged from the hug and patted her hand, "I miss you too, dear," Sora mumbled and chuckled seeing how Aurora spoiled her face into something infuriating.

They both strolled back to the couch and sat on it.

"Have you gotten any news from your mate?" Her Grandmother inquired.

Aurora shook her head looking all sad, "No," she mumbled and rested her head on the couch.

"I'm sure he'll message you soon, you need to be calm with him, okay?" Sora assured and Aurora nodded. What bothers her the most was seeing him far away from her. What if he met his mate and fell in love with her at fight sight, wouldn't he let her go? He was lurking about all the packs, how sure was she to know he wouldn't find his mate? He didn't even send her a message to tell her how he had been doing and when he would be returning.

Just then, Aurora sniffed the air and smelled Fennick. She sprang up instantly from her chair and ran to the entrance to welcome him. She leapt at him immediately after he got closer and he received a hug as they giggled at each other playfully.

"You look good in your uniform," Aurora complimented and he chuckled. He doesn't like wearing the uniform and Aurora was always eager to see him wear it as her assistant but he was too stubborn to listen.

She clutched tightly to him as they went in. He greeted Sora warmly who never asked you about his whereabouts. "Yes, please can you ask him that question? Fennick doesn't stay in the pack any longer. He's been moving around other packs which are incredibly dangerous."

"You do know very well why I had been away. I loved to visit packs and learn new things that can be useful for the pack," Fennick told her and Aurora scoffed.

"What new things have you learned before you return?" She implored, giving him a serious look.

Fennick smiled sheepishly, "Which one did you want to hear? That I went away and had returned to fill the bottle of my wine or that I learned new combat skills?" He inquired.

"I think I will gladly listen to the skills you've learnt from other packs," Aurora replied.

"Still the same golden skills but the highest levels," Fennick disclosed and Aurora screeched.

"Ready to teach me that?" She asked, grinning from ear to ear gazing at him.

Fennick formed a frown, "Teach you, I'm never going to teach you that. I don't want you to know all the skills and I will end up not being able to beat you in a fight, isn't that what you want," he implored.

Aurora laughed, "I don't know what you're talking about."
