Sage and his men swung around to face the guard that had called them to stop. When they saw the guards had started to call his colleagues they turned back and took to their heels, running their way through Moon pack building while the guards continued to tame them. They split ways to carry on a good fierce run so they wouldn't be caught.
Sage continued to mind-link them to tell them when to stop. It was when he lost track of the guards that he headed to a nook around the packed building. He immediately mind-linked others to meet him where he was. Knowing fully well some of them might still be chased by the guards, he waited patiently for their arrival. Thankfully, they all ran to him together with about ten guards chasing them.
They got to Sage and they all turned to face the guards. The three looked up at Sage and he nodded his head as he told them to begin something. With a swift, they all leapt towards the guards. They began to revolt against them using their combat skills. The guards brought out swords ready to take them down but Sage and his men were already prepared. They skipped the blades as they dangled to hit them and ended up using their hands to hit the guards. The fierce fight continued before Sage's mind linked them to do what he had asked them to do to put an end to the fight. His men agreed and within a minute, the four of them had all brought down guards hitting their necks with a flip to make captured them into a deep sleep.
"Good job," Sage complimented his men with a thumbs-up sign and they bowed to greet him for his training since he had taught them where to hit the guards for them to accomplish the fight. He nodded his head and roamed his eyes over the dozing souls to an intersection where they stood, "I'm sure they would've mind-linked others. Pull them over to that point," he ordered his men and they did as told.
As if he knew that had told the other guards, they came running into the nook where the fight had happened but thankfully, the four shifters had already found their way away from there.
"Be careful, we're inside the packed building, make sure you're carefully avoiding the guards," he warned. "Now, we need to get into the hall," he said and they began to search for the hall in the packed building. Not quite long, they finally found the hall using their similar route where there was also located.
Sage groaned when he saw guards screening the hall. They stood at the giant door which was locked and Sage knew it won't be that easy for them to go in without being an elder or not even being a pack member.
He faced his guards and told them to think about what can do to get in as he was also going to. Different suggestions began to come in.
"Why don't we distract them? Two of us can distract them and others will go in," one of the fighters suggested and Sage shook his head forthwith.
"I've also thought of it but it can't work. If we're to distract them, I'm very sure not all of them would leave the entrance and even if we succeeded in entering the hall without the guards being on watch, we would be suspected," Sage explained and the fighters agreed.
Another suggestion was made but Sage gave several reasons why they wouldn't accomplish their plans with it since the pack was also very strong and cautious.
"I guess they must have caught up with other guards that we took down and they would be on patrol for us. We need to act fast and cleverly to avoid being caught," he divulged and everyone fell into deep thought again.
Suddenly, they began to hear the voices of two ladies coming their way, having a chat with each other. Sage quickly hid with his men and listened carefully to what the ladies were saying.
"I told you not to wake me up even if it's my father who told you to," the First Lady who seemed to carry a lot of sovereignty told the other.
"Your father said it's a must I bring you into the meeting, I couldn't disrespect him when he said it was very important," the other lady who served the first lady spoke out.
The lady scoffed, "I won't join them inside the hall, I'll listen from the terrace."
"You can't do that," The maid advised and stopped her when she turned to leave for the stairs that would lead them to the terrace.
"There's a different step that leads to the terrace, we should take that too," Sage mumbled to the three. "But first, since she'll be there, we need to find a way to let her help us so we won't be suspicious of us. Hold on, I'll be back," he instructed and went out of his hiding. When he got out, he met the ladies still arguing with each other, so he went to stand in front of them.
On seeing him, the maid blocked his path and stood in front of her pilot, "Another pack member inside the packed building," she told her pilot and stood firm in front of her, protecting her from Sage.
"I'm so sorry to obstruct you, but would you give me some time to_"
"No!" The maid yelled and instantly the other lady covered her mouth.
"Shut up! He's not a bad person, I can smell how powerful his wolf is, he will be a noble person in his pack," the lady cautioned. She brought her hand from her maid's mouth and faced Sage whom she had come to like. "What are you looking for here?" She asked solemnly, giving Sage one of her sweet smiles.
"So sorry once again. I hope I'm not taking your time but please_"
"Oh, yeah, you're taking her time, she needs to attend a meeting!" The maid snapped and her pilot shunned her up again.
"Don't talk to him that way. I will go to the meeting…" she paused and looked at Sage again, "Do you mind if we continue this conversation up the terrace?" She inquired, earning a growl from her maid but ignored it.
"Yes, sure," Sage conveyed, happily. His plans had worked well. Just when they began up the stairs to the terrace. He mind-linked one of his men to tell others to meet him at the terrace.
