"There is something between the both of us?" A sardonic laugh erupted from him which made every member of the pack stare at their two leaders fighting.
On a mere look, it did not look like they were quarreling, especially the way the both of them smiled at each other with small intensity as they spoke. But deep down, without even spotting them, they could feel that they were fighting internally.
"Is there not, Alpha Lucifel?" His voice came along, calmly.
Lucifel looked at the fragile woman on the floor, she didn't move but with his improved sensory nerves, he could tell that she was still breathing and he felt a bit satisfied. He turned to Ethan and said, "I have never come across a red-headed vampiress, especially as young as that. I know you are aware that the young vampiresses are not opportune to come near their boundaries, Ethan?"
"I am aware, Alpha but that doesn't mean there could be nothing between the leader of the blood moon pack and the chosen vampiress."
Lucifel looked at Ethan with a slow smirk, deep down he found his beta quite nerving but then, he found it unbelievable to be able to control his anger with him. It has always been so and he did not understand what kind of connection there could be between him and his beta. But what he did not like was the fact that he thought that there was something between the useless vampiress and him, so he wanted to make him understand without having to utter much.
"The vampiress which you have ordered to be burnt already has the skin of the coal, would you still believe that they lie about the fact that the chosen one is not immortal?"
Ethan bowed a little, "Forgive me, alpha but the vampiress still breathes despite being around the fire for two minutes. Is she not supposed to get burnt? There is a difference between getting burnt and skin looking like that of tar."
Lucifel bent down again, his gaze walking all over the vampiress's body which made the members of the park silent immediately. They were so eager to hear what would finally happen to the chosen one of the vampiress, their enemy. "Mainly looking at the vampiress, she is breathing fine, hearing all that we say, would you take the pleasure to ask her yourself, Ethan?"
"No, Alpha Lucifel. We are all here waiting for your say. Your wish is my command and I am no fit to oppose you."
As if.
The lanky woman who had seen the vampiress was still trembling, spying on her from the time. And again, when she looked at the vampiress one last time, she was met by the same red eyes and she almost screamed.
Hazel on the other hand was planning on how she could escape from this hell of a place but then the thought that she could not just go else she wanted the war between the two creatures to continue. That reality stick to her as it would never get away without her.
She was already tired, not ready to exhaust more energy on setting herself free because alas, she was already free but not with the appropriate health status. Her chest still hurt like hell and she had no choice but to lay flatly on the cold floor. All thing that she could care about right now was the reason her chest still hurt. If it were one of her ribs which had broken, why hadn't it got fixed?
Despite not being immortal, some injuries could heal themselves as far as it was not related to her internal organs. She wondered what could be the cause of it and also what her people would be going through now. Would they be planning to attack or would they have the patience to wait until she secretly deals with whatever she had come here for? Could there be any way that she could succeed?
While thinking about that, she noticed someone staring at her, and then she raised her head slowly only for her gaze to meet the ugly woman.
Just by looking at her, she felt the need to even disappear. If only she could. If only she was a witch.
But when her gaze met the ugly woman again, she saw her tremble, she loved the fact that she could terrify her but she did not understand what exactly terrified her.
She was a vampire and they were Werewolves, as far as she could remember, the Werewolves were the most vicious ones. What could have scared her was just more than surprising to her.
But before she could try to put back her head down due to the pain it caused her whole body, she felt someone pull her hair and she screamed. That pain...she could not understand the reason she felt like claws were sipping into her scalp.
And then she heard the last voice which had mentioned about freeing her, "If my wish is your command, Ethan." The voice was suddenly scary, "Put her into the dungeon rather than have her die easily. What joy is there when you insist on killing at once when you could kill slowly...huh?"
With what Alpha Lucifel had said, there were suddenly whispers around the pack members and a bit of shock on Ethan's face as he heard those words.
"There are more things we need to discover from the vampiress, especially the hideouts of the witches, remember? I am sure you know that killing her immediately is not the right choice, Ethan."
"Yes, Alpha Lucifel. My apologies."
After been satisfied that they were clear of his intentions, Alpha Lucifel brutally pulled the girl's head until he ensured that she was standing without having to help herself stand with her limbs. He looked at the vampiress who now looked as ugly as the monkey, as if disgusted he pushed her to one of the guards and then said, "Put her into the dungeon."
