Chereads / Hellbound With The Cold Alpha / Chapter 4 - Wolf Boy (1)

Chapter 4 - Wolf Boy (1)

Hazel was pushed into one of the guard's bodies. The guard who was one of those who held the chain that was tied on her limb immediately held her tightly and squeezed her into his arms as if he was sort of annoyed that she was close to his body.

As fragile as she was, the guard still felt that she could try to escape, so he ensured that there was no way she could escape.

Lucifel walked towards the end of the courtyard quietly while Ethan followed him. When the both of them walked away from the pack members, there was a loud noise again which filled the air.

"A prisoner can not just be put into the dungeon. They are to go through severe punishments first before leaving them to starve. She has gone through nothing. Don't you agree with me?" Lissa asked her elder sister who was standing beside her.

Lissa was one of the trusted women in the pack, though everyone respected her due to her special abilities she was not satisfied with that. Her aim in the pack was either to be the Alpha's mate or unfortunately, the beta's mate. Though mates are chosen by the moon goddess bur some werewolves choose their mates themselves if they could not wait until the day they know their mates but most of these people usually prefer having lots of mistresses to satisfy their carnal urges. And there were many women who were ready to do so.

Lissa on her own had her mate but he died about six months ago. With that, she was overly heartbroken and pledged to sleep with different men till she spots the person she is re-mated with.

"I thought you were less concerned about prisoners until now, Lissa?" Her elder sister said as she watched the pathetic young vampiress being coaxed by the guard.

"Of course, I am less concerned about her but then I feel a bit uncertain. She smells like bad luck. I want her dead before anything happens to Alpha Lucifel."

"Before anything happens to the Alpha?" Her sister whose attention was primarily fixed on the vampiress was now interested in whatever she was talking about.

"I feel that she is up to no good and she is targeting the Alpha. Look at her, from her glare alone you would notice that," she slowly tilted her head forward, signaling her sister to the vampiress whose attention was fixed on the alpha.

"I believe that the pack leaders would know if anything will go wrong but then I don't agree with you. The vampiress is just a pathetic creature." She paused and gave a short glance at her sister, "I just think your obsession with him is basically the reason why you are suspecting her."

"That is not it, sister!"

Hazel looked at the back of the man who had pushed his claws into her scalp and a fit of sudden anger boomed into her. She tried releasing herself from the guard"s arms but before she knew it, there was a sudden jab in her abdomen. "Take her to the dungeon right now!" A soft voice boomed in the air and just with that, the whole pack members began to repeat the words.

Hazel looked at one of them after the other, trying to put their face into her memories so that when the time comes she would know how to deal with it but they were overcrowded. Her mind could not take all of their faces at once.

"It is a starvation of three days, to begin with. And when she becomes aggressive, feed her animals instead, do you hear me?" The head of the guards informed the guard who had already started dragging away her limp body.

"I...I can walk myself, let me go!" She whimpered but immediately regretted it as a soft pain tossed out from her chest.

"You will learn to save your energy for your hunger soon, woman." The guard replied to her.

*The Day Before*

There was other news in the city. The vampires were getting scared, the royals were busy planning their troops to attack and the little vampires and vampiresses were locked in their houses with their mothers.

Hazel who had just finished drawing a portrait of the boy she saw fourteen years ago was eyeing the huge hairy boy's back. No matter how many times she had gone to sneak into that same forest, she could not see him. She tossed the red little strands that were entering her eyes to the other side while rubbing off her sweat. She looked at the drawing again and shook her head. This did not look like the wolf boy she saw that evening. She was ready to toss it into the dustbin again and then she heard someone talking to her,

"Hazel, you can stop fantasising about the wild boy, now. This is literally the eighteenth paper you are about to toss into the bin."

Hazel's face rose a little, her almond eyes were wide and a bit apologetic. "Sorry, Micah. Just a little more, all those do not look like him at all. I really need to draw the one that looks exactly like-"

She was cut short by him. "And what then do you do when it finally looks perfectly like him?" He paused for a second before putting his chin up, "You go to the forest in search of him and then tell him 'I saw you many years ago and I am about to kill you.' and then he would say, 'yes, go on.'?"

Hazel rolled her eyes. She was offended by him but then she did not want to lose against this stone-hearted friend of hers. So she countered after squeezing the shit that was in her hands. "I won't do something like that, you dummy. I have a feeling that all his kinds are cruel as that. He is the first werewolf I had ever seen and ... and would you believe me when I tell you that he tore-"

A/N: I'm a very loquacious being so I would be dropping an A/N almost in every chapter.

I wanna ask you a question. If you were bethrothed to someone who you don't even know and he or she appears to be blind, would you still marry him/her?
