Chapter 9 - Intergalactic trafficker

"Really?"

"These are your best mages?" said James as he looked at the scrawny old men with pitiful mana levels.

"You damn brat! We've studied the art of magic for years and some wet behind the ears, boy!!! Will not disrespect us," said a mage among them with higher mana levels than the rest.

"Okay, you're good. You'll be the mage that meets the heroes we're summoning while the rest of you can stay in the background or something to add up the number, does that sound good?" Said James as he instructed the weak mages and the strong ones.

The mages, while disgruntled, followed the instructions, as the man in front of them was strong to abnormal levels.

"And you, what's your name?" Asked James to the man that clapped back at his insults.

"Brat, the name's Leonidas Percival, second to the archmage, Ronaldo," said the Leonidas in a bragging manner

"Ronaldo!!! Cristiano Ronaldo? Omg, am a huge fan!" Said James as he screamed and teleported to Leonidas.

"Where is he?" James asked the old man who was a little disturbed at how intensely James reacted

"You killed him," suddenly interjected the king into the conversation.

"Huh, when did I kill him? I've killed a handful of people since I came here," said James to the king.

His mind browsed through the people he affected.

"Wait, is it that old, disgusting, rotting, smelling, thin, deranged, and senile man?" Said James, hoping with every fiber of his being that it was not.

>..<

"Yes, the man you seem to or, as you have said, the disgusting, rotting, smelling, thin, deranged, and senile old man, did I get it right?" Said King Charles.

"That guy is your archmage? No wonder your mages like this, if I was here I would be trash too," said James disgustingly as he steps back away from the group.

The mages, advisor, and king all had deadpan expressions.

"Can you be a little serious?" said Leonidas

"Am a joke character. I can't be serious," said James. "If you want a serious character, go read reverend insanity."

"What?" said Leonidas as he understood the words separately yet together they sounded like useless jargon.

"What, all of you share one brain cell in this kingdom?" said James.

"I hate you on a deeply personal level, and we just met for 20 minutes. Why haven't we started the summoning yet," said Leonidas, not wanting to talk with this creature in front of him?

"Kill yourself, why are you talking so much? You are destined to be a forgotten character so kindly shut the fuck up! each one of you are NPCs. Your life and death do not matter," said James as flashed a middle finger to the old mage.

"Can you at least try to speak like a normal sane person, and not a deranged psychotic lunatic?" Said Leonidas as he screamed at James at the top of his lungs, scaring the mages, advisor, Charles, and the individuals who walked in.

"Why are you so mean to me?" Said James while he wiped off a teardrop from his eyes.

"Forget it, just stop the talk and let's start the summoning and acting," said Leonidas curious about what this is.

He knows they are performing a summoning ritual, but from where, how, why, and who.

"Bet lemme just recover and recheck the status."

Ability to create anything >

"So simple and refreshing, no exaggeration, just one sentence," said James, reading the skill.

"Now I just need to reverse engineer that in a bit, reversing the polarity and restoring it, repeating the cycle continuously," thought James as he cupped his hands.

In James' hands, mana merged with bright colors, rotating and swirling rapidly.

James planned to destroy his body and rebuild it to a better form.

Soon, his body started cracking while mana converged on the ball of mana in his hands.

The people in the room watched the spectacular scene in shock as the mana attracted them from its power alone.

The mages could feel their mana leaving their bodies and going to the phenomenon.

"What kind of existence is he?"

"This kind of power! How can it be possible?"

"It is taking in ambient mana in the air. This might form a mana-forbidden zone"

"If he cannot seal the mana, it will wipe out this kingdom and the ones close to us,"

The crowd muttered

The lights dimmed down as a ball revealed itself to the crowd.

The ball then turned to a slimy texture as it took the structure of a humanoid.

"That was fun. How did you like my transformation with a lot of similarities to a typical overpowered cultivation mc? That also have a lot of heavens in the names of their skill set? Refining the marrow or whatever," James said, "No, you don't like it. Well, fuck you too, your side characters,"

"If there's no max/limiter yet, then am probably still weak," said James as he observed his stats.

"Umm, James, sir, why are you looking at thin air?" Said Leonidas with his voice cracking.

"Oh, I'm just watching my system wanna see?" said James, about to download

"No worries. Can we start now?" Said Leonidas with his hands shivering.

"Oh yeah, system, give movement transcendence to these weak mages," said James to his screen.

Suddenly, the entire mages in the room felt a skill enter their mind. It felt like they could cross the sky with a step!

"Start summoning fools!" James commanded, slapping a random mage that was drunk with power on the head.

Then all the mages chanted. The chant caused the runes and altar to shine, releasing a bright light into the sky.

The mages started dropping as the ritual drained them dry. James, seeing this, transferred enough mana to them, to keep them from exploding, or getting drained to death.

Then figures were seen in the light. James was excited, but then the figures changed. Morphing through different forms and structures, some with cold weapons, phones, computers, systems, rings, accessories, and all kinds of things.

James panicked as he peered through space-time and tried to find the cause.

James saw chaos, an infinite amount of realities and an endless amount of characters morph through space. The selection was completely random. And trying to select one would require enough power to destroy a universe.

So, James just looked on and didn't interfere. The lights finally stopped.

"Kids!" they all exclaimed at what came out of their altar

In front of them were a bunch of delinquents crawling on the floor.

"So this is KID-napping?"
