Eva's Physique
The drive to the coffee shop didn't take long, and Matthew soon arrived. Parking his car, Matthew ran inside and quickly found Eva. Currently, she was sitting at a table close to the windows as she sipped the latte she ordered.
As if she had sensed Matthew enter, Eva turned her head and saw him just as he started to walk over to her. Smiling, Eva waved her hand at Matthew, beckoning him over.
As he walked over, Matthew looked at the girl he hadn't seen in over 5000 years. But seeing her appearance, Matthew had to admit she was definitely a beauty. Even compared to the ones he had seen out in the Inner Region of the universe, she could rank in the top 5%.
Right now, she has her naturally brown hair dyed a silver-blond color, but even so, Eva's hair is still extremely silky, giving it a polished look. Coupled with her emerald eyes, Eva was easily an 8, even with Matthew's high standards. And with the Spiritual Qi rejuvenation coming soon, her looks will only get better with time.
Sitting down at her table, Matthew said, "Sorry for making you wait so long."
"It's fine. I got caught up on some work that I was behind on, so it's all worth it. I guess." Eva said as she shook her head.
"Why did you dye your hair this color this time?" Matthew asked.
Eva, from what he knew, went through more than a dozen hair colors in a year, so seeing this odd one, Matthew didn't think much of it but just asked the reason.
"This color was something I've always wanted to dye my hair too, but I held back since I could never find the right hue. But my friend told me about an online shop that had the right one I was looking for, so I ordered it online instead of waiting for the shop I usually get dye from to get it." Eva explained with a bright smile as she ran her hands through her hair.
Out of all of her features, Eva loved her hair the most, and the reason she dyed it so often was to show it off more. So Matthew pointing it out made her smile.
The two talked about their current lives for a while to catch up, but eventually, Matthew ran out of lies to talk about, so he decided to get to the point of the meet-up.
"Eva, why did you want to meet up so suddenly? The text looked really serious," Matthew asked as he sipped a latte.
Eva had let him take a sip of her latte, and after enjoying it, Matthew ordered his own.
"Oh right, that. Matthew, I'm moving soon." Eva looked slightly saddened as she spoke of it.
After she said this, she looked over at Matthew's face, expecting him to be sad as well, but a surprise came to her when she saw him look surprised. Her surprise, though, soon turned to shock.
"Oh, coincidence, I'm moving too! I'm planning on heading out to the Midwest. What about you?" Matthew asked, slightly surprised.
'So this is why I never heard from her again. She probably died mid-move or just died in the ensuing chaos.' Matthew thought.
"Wait, you too! Which state are you going to?" Eva was also stunned.
She had wanted to meet up with Matthew because she thought this would be their last meeting. And to not leave any regrets, Eva planned to tell him her feelings before leaving. That way, even if she were rejected, it wouldn't make their future relationships as awkward if they still went to university together.
But now, hearing that Matthew was moving to the same region as her, Eva couldn't help but have some hope that they were moving to the same place.
However, Matthew didn't know where to move. All he knew was that he planned to move to the Midwest. Not only was it far away from the deadly shores of the US, but it also had its own lively wildlife, making it very easy to hunt for demon cores and other valuable items that would be useful in the impending chaos.
Also, since the Midwest was very open and had lots of free areas, Matthew planned to establish his own force there.
He wanted to make his own utopia that would become the center of the United States during the upcoming apocalypse. Matthew didn't know how he would do that, but there was a lot of time left before the Spiritual Qi rejuvenation happened, so he was confident he could plan it out before.
Because of his lack of planning, he didn't know which state he was going to move to. Matthew had only narrowed it down to a few choices in his mind. But to keep the conversation going, he spoke about his first choice, hoping she didn't also want to go there. "Colorado, I have an extremely nice internship opportunity there."
"Oh my god, you too! Did Blue Wing also send you an internship? I knew they would send you. After all, though I have a high GPA, you were ranked first in our major. How could you not?" Eva shouted out in surprise and excitement.
'Fuck! I only came here out of curiosity. Why the hell are there so many coincidences happening? Matthew cursed in his mind.
Seeing that he had accidentally built an odd relationship, Matthew was going to try and back out of the possibility of potentially moving together. But before he spoke, a loud voice rang in his head.
'Brat! That girl has Divine Nine Yin Meridians! Don't you dare let her go. Not only is she destined to be a Divine Lord like you, but she even has a dual cultivation physique! Move out with her, no matter the cost. If you let her go, I'll kidnap her myself for John!' Senior Wudi yelled out.
Matthew, stunned that Senior Wudi could hear his conversations, was annoyed. But since what the man said was so important, he wanted more information.
So apologetically, Matthew stood up and said, "Eva, I have to use the bathroom real quick. I'll be right back."
"It's fine. Take your time. I'll still be here." Eva casually said, but inwardly, she was slightly disappointed at the bad timing he had. Did he not have any EQ?
After once again apologizing for the bad timing, Matthew went to the bathroom. Closing the stall door behind him, he teleported into the Nine-Ringed Divine Throne.
"Senior Wudi, what did you mean earlier? Are you telling me this girl also has a Divine Level physique like me?" Matthew spoke as he teleported in.
A Divine Level physique was something hard to find, even in the Core Region of the Chaotic Universe. But now, in this tiny state on a small planet, in the Primeval Region, there were 4. So either they all won the genetic lottery, or there was a hand pulling the strings behind the curtain.
However, Matthew was more inclined to believe the former since the former strongest man in the universe was with him. Because if it were the latter, Senior Wudi would have been able to sense it.
"Yes, and a damn good one, too. You, brat, are going to make that girl head over heels for you, or I will brainwash her into a cauldron. Either way, you need her. Not only is she going to be as strong as you were at your peak eventually, but she can also speed up your cultivation speed by a level if you dual cultivate with her." Senior Wudi explained.
Currently, the twins were sleeping on the side, so Senior Wudi spoke freely about Matthew's previous life.
"Wait, but isn't that too much of a coincidence? Even for my siblings and me, having Divine Level physiques was something hard to believe. But Eva, too? What are the chances of that happening?" Matthew couldn't help but question it.
Even in the Core Region, where geniuses were as plentiful as weeds in the spring, a Divine Level physique only popped up in one in every billion cultivators. But now, here in the Primeval Region, on a planet without Spiritual Qi, there are four?
"Brat, I don't know how this happened either, but the important thing is that it did. You, Earthlings, have a saying for this, don't you? 'Never look a gift horse in the mouth.' So just ignore the heaven-defying odds of this happening and seduce her." Senior Wudi retorted.
He, too, felt that this luck was something unnatural, but of the many things he learned in life, one was that one should never question the chances one gets. The universe is indifferent to every living creature, so when something lucky happens, you take it with gratitude and move on.
"But I don't want to love yet. I have too much on my shoulders, and having a relationship this early would do more harm than good." Matthew spoke out.
His previous life was painful and filled with blood. Love was something that never even crossed his mind. So, being told that he had to make a girl fall in love with him so early on in his rebirth, Matthew didn't know what to do.
"Love? Who the hell said you had to love her? I said that you have to make her love you, not the other way around." Senior Wudi snorted.
"Doesn't that make me a scumbag?" Matthew couldn't help but ask.
"Brat, you've killed more people in your previous life than people who live in this country. Being a scumbag to this little girl is something that should weigh a lot less on your consciousness." Senior Wudi spoke oddly.
Seeing Matthew not having a pleasant expression on his face, Senior Wudi stopped his train of thought and spoke in a different direction, "Moreover, it's not like I said to treat her like a concubine. You can treat her nice and all, but you have to make sure to become partners. You have a very short time limit. Any boost to your cultivation speed needs to be treated with A-1 priority."
Even though Matthew surely wasn't a murder fanatic who killed every man in his sight, with over 5000 years in the cultivation world, Matthew's kill count wasn't low by any stretch. So even if he were somewhat passive and had only killed one man every day for those 5000 years, Matthew would still have killed almost 2 million people.
Including the clan or sect exterminations Matthew had done, killing more than 350 million people wasn't hard.
Matthew also sensed that his moral compass was a little odd, but still, being a scumbag didn't sit right with him.
His mother, Ann, had raised him with upright principles regarding how to treat a woman. Especially with her Asian heritage, Matthew was raised with the idea that dating was only for marriage.
So seducing Eva for only her body didn't give Matthew a good feeling. Senior Wudi's follow-up words helped a bit, but Matthew still didn't like the situation in the future.
Senior Wudi could also sense his discomfort, so he only sighed before saying, "Then stay alongside her for these six months before this planet blooms. If you really can't see yourself with her, then I can always extract her physique from her and give it to the one you do love."
"But wouldn't that also destroy her future?" Matthew said.
"Not likely. If anything, it would help her more than leaving it with her. The women who possess that physique only have two fates. They either become a brainless dual cultivation cauldron or rise to prominence. There is no in-between." Senior Wudi explained.
"Can you go into more detail?"
Thinking about how to phrase his words for a moment, Senior Wudi eventually explained, "It matters which gender finds her first. If it were a man, 9 out of 10 times, they would kidnap her and brainwash her into a dual cultivation cauldron for their own uses. Or if it were a woman, as long as they have a silver of righteousness, they would send the girl to an all-women sect where she would grow into a powerhouse. Of course, there are exceptions for the two genders, but 9/10 times this is what happens."
Taking the old man's advice, Matthew decided why not. At worst, he would have Eva around for six months, which wasn't even that bad.
After asking how his siblings were doing, Matthew exited the Nine-Ringed Divine Throne.

There is now a discord for this novel. However, be warned. It is rather bare bones. I suck at Discord. The link is in the synopsis.
