Chapter 6 - 6. Waking Up

*Red eyed guy's POV*

I cautiously slipped into her duvet after a couple minutes and engulfed her into a warm hug.

I could feel her snuggling into me as her hands wrapped around my waist. Her skin was so soft yet cold.

I pulled the duvet closer and put my arm under her head, so she was sleeping on it and the other around her waist, pulling her closer to me, till there is no air gap left.

I felt her move and turn to me as she pulled me too.

Since she showed no signs of waking up, I decided to get some sleep too. I wasn't sleepy but within a couple minutes, I drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

After I don't know how long, I felt her stir in my arms and I got conscious.

I looked over to find her eyes were still closed. She snuggled into me and rubbed her face into my chest while her hand tried to hold my skin.

'DAMN! Her nails hurt.' I screamed in my head.

She seemed to be brought to her senses slowly and gained control of her actions as her eyes flew open feeling the change in her surroundings.

Her hazel eyes sleepily blinked at me, but she sobered up instantly and set straight up.

"Who are you?" she questioned me in her groggy voice.

She rubbed her eyes and felt the air on hair skin causing her to look down and realize she slipped out of her jumpsuit in her sleep and her t shirt was stained and slightly crumbed.

I smirked taking in the sight of her shocked face before she pulled the duvet around her.

"What the hell did you do?! And how did I come here?" she was furious yet embarrassed.

"Xade."

"What?"

"My name."

"That doesn't answer my question," she hissed, annoyed.

"It answers your first question." I smirked knowing I had pissed her.

She glared before trying to ignore me as she looked around. She found a button from somewhere on the bed after a few minutes of searching.

My lips twitched at her concern for a mere button.

She looks completely agitated, "why aren't you wearing any clothes?"

"As far as I know, I am wearing clothes. Unless you would like a good show…" I smirk.

"Get out!" she gritted her teeth so hard I wondered if they would shatter.

She started looking around the bed again with a frown on between her even brows.

"What ya looking for?" I moved closer to her, whispering near her ear.

She looked at me angry and hissed out, "I said, get out!"

I bent to the side, still laying as I picked the beer mug which still had some drops of beer left and poured it on the bed.

A look of shock passed her face before her eyes moisten.

I panicked on the inside not understanding what happened. She grabbed the mug from my hand and yelled at me to get out again and threw the mug to the door.

'SHATTER'

I looked at the broken mug at the door in shock. she sure has quite a temper

"Get out." She said in an extremely low voice.

I could see the fury in those eyes as she covered herself more tightly, but there was pain too.

I didn't know what I did for her to react so strongly all of a sudden and couldn't understand what to do at all, but my body reacted on its own.

I don't even know how I got up and moved towards her hugging her above the duvet as tightly as I possibly could and stroked her head.

By the time I came to realize, I was utterly embarrassed and simply got up and left, shutting the door behind me. I immediately gave on my idea to play around any longer.

I could hear shuffling in the room and after 10 minutes, the door opened and revealed a furious Ivy.

She had changed and was wearing a blood red dress with black and white embroidery of flowers. It reached just above her knees, and she was wearing black leather boots and a set of diamond earring tops and a bracelet.

Her hair was put in a bun and all I could say was that I was swept off my feet and at that very moment, I felt a pain on my left cheek.

While I was busy admiring her, I didn't realize she came up to and a punch landed on my left cheek.

I looked at her shocked and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get myself to be angry or do anything to her. I couldn't even a word as I just stared at her in surprise. This was so not like me.

"I don't know how you got here but I can clearly see the mess you have made in my office. I don't care how you do it, but I want every corner sparkling clean in the next 30 minutes, which includes my t-shirt too."

With that she walked off, only to stop at the door and glare at me.

"Put your clothes on and if what I said isn't done, you wouldn't wanna know what I'd do."

'Right, she isn't any less of a monster when angered,' I thought to myself. 'I better get to work.'

*End of POV*

Ivy strode off to the reception. Everyone could feel her fury as she passed, and they cowered in fear. She hardly got angry but when she did, it was a disaster for everyone around her.

"How the hell did a guy get up to my office?!" she exclaimed to the receptionist who eyes went wide.

"It is clearly told that no one is allowed up except my family and unless I, myself, personally escort them!" her rage rising every word she spat.

"I don't know ma'am. Please believe me. I told him you don't take visitors after checking the bouquet he was to offer you. He was a lil pissed and simply asked me where you were, and I don't know how I told him. I didn't even remember it until you asked me." He answered in fear.

Ivy simply narrowed her eyes before going over to the security. She questioned them and they said the same. They checked the bouquet and Williams, the receptionist, told the man he can't meet her. They had left after, so they don't know what happened next.

Not convinced, she checked the CCTV footage and saw the scene unfold. She heard it clear that Williams told the Xade guy where she was, but he wouldn't just tell anyone. He was working with Ivy before the company was established, hence Ivy trusted him a lot.

Pissed at not getting answers, she went back to her office to see the mess was yet to be cleaned.

Xade was waiting in the waiting area and there was bouquet in his hand which she had seen nowhere after waking up.

'at least he is dressed now.' She thought.

Seeing Ivy back, Xade wasn't sure anymore of what to say.

"I had come to invite you to the banquet on the full moon at-"

"Perhaps you don't know but I DO NOT attend any banquets or social events. What made you think you could come here and make a scene? Don't you dare think I will forget any of this!" she cut him and threatened him altogether.
