Just then, her telecom buzzed. She picked and only said 'yes.' She wasn't one with lots of words.
Within a minute, the workers I had asked for arrived and took the couches away.
I was about to leave as the couches and workers were gone when she waved her fingers and the door to the office closed. I could have thought it was air but there was no open area, the entire floor was sealed.
And hey! Not only did it close but she also managed to lock it and the keys floated to her, which she later held in her hands.
I was stunned and stupefied. How on earth could she do that?! It wasn't something anyone from any realm could do. Right? Perhaps I just hadn't paid much attention to others, but I had to, now onwards.
"don't look surprised." She was walking to me.
"If you still don't wanna speak, it's okay. But say a word about this to anyone and I will have your head in a silver platter." She threatened as she gave me the keys
Did she think she is a vampire too? Damn! She isn't and she wasn't a witch either!! What the hell was she?! I felt my head was gonna burst.
She was all I could think of as I walked away and out of the building with several eyes on me. Looks like she made quite a commotion down here for me being up.
I could hear some gossips amongst the employees.
"She never allows visitors and yet she didn't throw him out."
"Oh my god! He is so handsome"
"Do you think they did the deed?"
"Must have, isn't that why the madam had her clothes changed."
"He must be a beast in bed for him to not leave the clothes at all!"
"But she didn't have problems walking at all"
I heard all sorts of whispers amongst her employees.
"Shameless."
That was it! I couldn't take it anymore.
Theodore quickly took me out before I did something rash and stupid.
'Don't do anything, you father is already upset.' He said in my head with sarcasm dripping from his face and voice.
This was the second time in less than an hour that he had to talk in my head! I just hate this man, yet he is also my best friend.
Sitting in the car, I cooled my head. That's another reason I hate humans.
"Word of what you did in there and how you pissed her has spread and mother sure is angry."
"couldn't help it." I shrugged lightly.
"Are you going to tell your father of her suspicions?"
"I need to talk to the others tonight. There is a lot more to her than meets the eye."
*End of POV*
After Xade left, Ivy felt exhausted. She hit the telecom and asked for her floor to be cleaned completely.
She was overwhelmed by the events and decided to treat herself for lunch. She chose to go to a restaurant with a beautiful scenic view. It was on the countryside.
"How I miss this life," she whispered to herself stepping out of her red stallion as the cool breeze hit her.
There was a horse club which served amazing food and was her hub when she was still sketching designs. There were horses to rent and ride in the field and tracks there, a top multi-cuisine restaurant and rooms to lodge.
As she entered, the valet took her keys immediately whilst a waiter escorted her to a table which overlooked the field and stable.
Though many didn't like the stable, Ivy found it to add details into the view and this seat of hers was always reserved. She was a regular customer since her college days.
In fact, she had a painted the exact view from her regularly reserved seat on a huge canvas which was hung at the wall behind the reception for everyone to view.
She was a naturally gifted child in some aspects, and the others were covered with her fast-learning skills. She would be outstanding in everything she did even she wasn't a master.
The hotel was grateful for her gift even when she was a nobody and had done nothing much.
Since she wasn't much of a picky eater and as long as it tastes good, anything was fine with her. So, today, she simply wanted to eat something she hadn't in a long while and chose to have chicken mozzarella cheese pasta and Choco lava muffin with some lemonade.
She didn't even need to look through the menu to give her order. She found the place more crowded than usual as it had rained last evening resulting in a cool breezy weather for the day.
She was looking at the field where some were riding the horses or simply walking them when she heard a throat clear.
Turning to the source, she found two men and a young lady, about her age standing. She raised a brow at them with annoyance in her eyes for their intrusion on her lovely lunch out.
"We came here to have lunch, but the place is all stuffed and were wondering if you would mind sharing the table with us?" a man looking the eldest among the three spoke.
"Please, we won't intrude on your time at all-" the girl was speaking only to be cut off by the waiter who suddenly appeared.
"Sorry ma'am for the disturbance I'll see them out," he apologized to Ivy.
"No please, we have come all the way from the city. We will pay for your lunch miss." The younger man spoke.
Ivy simply looked around to see all places were packed.
"Let them have the table," she commented politely to the waiter.
"But ma'am-"
"It's okay. Just have a table set up for me outside, the weather is plenty nice. If it's not possible, I don't mind going to my room." She spoke with a smile.
"No miss, please continue. We didn't mean to intrude." The man who looked younger than the first man protested.
"Looks like we will have to go back." The girl looked sullen.
Ivy didn't care and turned her attention back to the field.
Just then, a table was unoccupied as its previous occupants had finished their meal and left. The trio took that table, and it was just beside Ivy's, but she couldn't care less.
Soon her food arrived, and she had already dug in when many tables were empty. The staff had cleared the center of the dining hall and put some soft music which soothed Ivy's nerves and she ate in peace.
Meanwhile, at the trios table-
"This will be tough, brother," the girl spoke.
"Don't worry, Endora," the younger man spoke, "nothing is difficult for brother, here."
"Shut it, Illius," the eldest hissed at the younger man.
"Behave Strider," Endora spoke trying to make her voice sound deep.
"You're not father," Strider, the eldest, spoke.
