"This junior is very sorry for not being able to comply with Elder. But this junior will hold Elder's guidance to heart," Shung Yun smiled with his palms together as he bowed to Elder Gauyi.
Watching as Shung Yun left through the door, Elder Gauyi felt no anger or displeasure towards him.
"Just disappointed the clan head might end the life of such bright and respectful kid," he muttered as he left the building towards Nue Su's cell.
"If you have the power to rule the entire world, what would you do, Ikunga?" Shung Yun looked at the face of the white colored iron-fist gorilla as he asked.
"I will occupy the largest forest in the world, marry the legendary purple-colored female iron-fist gorilla, have dozens of baby gorillas, and live a blissful life with my family," Ikunga said as his feet and his knuckles pushed him to run faster.
"You have a nice goal, Ikunga," Shung Yun smiled as he fondled the fur in Ikunga's head, "I'm sure that will give you so much peace."
"A lot, my king. A lot," Ikunga said as he continued sprinting forward.
Whoosh!!
!!
"Haha! Go faster, Ikunga," Shung Yun laughed as he held the arrow he caught in his right hand.
"Should we go after them, my king?" Ikunga asked as he exerted more strength in his hands and knuckles.
"Not today, Ikunga. I have a meeting with my clan head," Shung Yun smiled as his eyes sparkled as he looked at the arrow in his hand.
Whoosh!! Whoosh!! Whoosh!! Whoosh!! Whoosh!!
Ka! Ka! Wussh! Wussh! Purssh!
"My king!" Ikunga and Mangro called anxiously as they looked towards Shung Yun.
"This sure hurt," Shung Yun mumbled as he looked at the arrow stuck on his left shoulder.
"Only one got to him," a masked individual said unhappily with a bow in its left hand and an arrow locked on its string.
"We failed. Let's head back," another masked individual said as it returned the arrow in its right hand into its quiver.
"You should go back in, Mangro," Shung Yun said as he looked at the arrow with his blood on its tip.
"Yes, my king," Mangro said before withdrawing his head back inside Shung Yun's left sleeve.
"I wonder how good I will be with a bow and arrow," Shung Yun muttered as Ikunga rode hm to the Shung Clan's Ancestral Hall.
"Captain Yun," the soldiers guarding the back-gate of Byui village said as they greeted Shung Yun.
"You guys should go get something later," Shung Yun said as he threw three[3] duan silvers to the soldiers.
"Thank you, captain Yun!" the soldiers said excitedly as one of them caught the square shaped silvers.
"Great goddess Hiba! I can't believe captain Yun would give us three[3] duan silvers," one of the three[3] soldiers said as he looked at the square shaped silvers in the hands of his colleague.
"This is the first time he ever spoke to us! I thought he would only nod at us like he usually did," the soldier with the duan silvers as he passed one duan silvers each to his two[2] colleagues.
"He's really nice person," the last soldier said as he received his duan silver.
"Goddess Hiba! That's a beast!!" a lower-stage elderly woman sitting inside her shop cried out as she brought down the wood covering the wide window in front of her before running to lock the door of her shop.
"Someone is sitting on the beast!!" a middle-stage middle aged male passerby on the same road as Ikunga exclaimed as he caught sight of Shung Yun on Ikunga's left shoulder.
"Th..that's the armor of our Byui village. The rider is a soldier of our village!" an upper-stage male youth trader said as he stared at Shung Yun.
"You're getting famous, Ikunga," Shung Yun said as he looked at the shops below him.
"I have no desire to be famous among the humans, my king," Ikunga said as he moved towards the direction shown to him by Shung Yun.
"Yet you're going to be," Shung Yun said as he continued looking around the village.
"We're here," Ikunga said as he stopped in front of a red wooden gate having the word Shung carved on it and two[2] middle-stage male youths standing on both ends of it.
"Captain Yun," the male youths said as they bowed to Shung Yun.
Nodding his head at the youths, Shung Yun stepped through the gate and into the Shung clan's courtyard.
"Woah! Look at that beast!" a middle-stage male child exclaimed as he looked at Ikunga moving towards the direction of the Shung clan's ancestral hall.
"That must be the beast my senior brother was talking about with his friend," another middle-stage male child said as he looked at Ikunga.
"What did he say about the beast?" the first middle-stage male child asked as he looked at his friend.
"He said the beast is controlled by cousin brother Yun," the second middle-stage male child said.
"How could the failed genius be so incredible to control such a huge beast!?" the first middle-stage male child cried out in amazement as he looked at the Ikunga.
"Why do you call him the failed genius?" the second middle-stage male child asked his friend.
"I heard from my dad that cousin brother Yun have no dantian, so he won't be a strong cultivator like the clan head and the village chief. And because he has no dantian, he couldn't go to the big sect in Yuhan Town with cousin brother Pang and cousin sister Jing," the first middle-stage male child said as his sight on Ikunga got obstructed by the buildings in the courtyard.
"Cousin brother Yun, the clan head and the elders are waiting inside," a middle-stage male youth on a red robe said to Shung Yun.
"Alright. Wait here, Ikunga," Shung Yun said as he entered the huge wooden door in front of him.
"He's here," Elder Li said as a middle-stage male teen on the Byui military standard uniform stepped into the hall.
"Shung Yun greets the clan head, the elders and the seniors," Shung Yun bowed his upper body as he paid his respect to the higher ups of the Shung Clan.
"Seems like your journey back wasn't smooth, Shung Yun," the middle-stage elderly man sitting on the head seat said as he saw the red spot on Shung Yun's left shoulder.
"I was shot by an arrow on my way back, clan head," Shung Yun said as he straightened his body.
"It's a good thing your strength isn't tied to your cultivation realm," Clan head Haoran said before pointing to an empty seat beside the last seating higher up on the huge table in the ancestral hall, "take a seat."
Hearkening to what the clan head said, Shung Yun moved towards the table before sitting on the seat given to him.
"That's your seat from today," Clan head Haoran said to Shung Yun.
Surprised by what his clan head said, Shung Yun sensed something dangerous coming.
"Shung Yun is grateful for clan head's kindness. I will try my best to live up to the expectation given to me," he stood before bowing to clan head Haoran.
"He didn't try to turn it down," an elder thought as he looked at Shung Yun, "he must be the straightforward type."
"That's great. Now for the reason we're all here. I heard you were granted three[3] chances to request anything from the village, Shung Yun?" Clan head Haoran asked as he looked at Shung Yun.
"Yes, clan head," Shung Yun said.
"The clan is in dire need of some changes after such a long period of slow progress. The reward given to you by the village chief is like a light at the end of a very dark tunnel for the clan. How would you like to be the hero of the clan, Shung Yun?" Clan head Haoran asked Shung Yun.
Having all eyes in the room on him, Shung Yun shook his head as he said, "this junior have hated the word, hero, after the death of his mom, his dad and his uncle eight[8] years ago. So, this junior has no wish to ever be a hero."
