Elinor's POV
Prince Alucard didn't join the Emperor and me for breakfast. It could have been strange, but then again, Prince Alucard eating with us was not an everyday thing, anyway.
"How has your time in the castle been, Elinor?" The Emperor asked out of nowhere just as I brought a glass of milk to my lips. I couldn't help it; I choked on the contents I had taken in, much to my mortification and oddly to his amusement.
He handed me a napkin to wipe my mouth, and I had to bite my lip from apologizing for the mess that I had done to myself.
"Fine, Your Majesty. It's been fine," I said when I had finished dabbing at my face.
But I was certainly not going to tell him how I had spent the past two days with his brother. Especially when there were plans for more time together that day. There was a possibility he knew, but I was by no means speaking a word of it with my lips.
"Good," was all he said as he began standing up.
