Chapter 34 - Stalker

A few months after the great magus summoned all of the otherworlders, not much had changed at all, the otherworlders deluded themselves in their new lives or some simply sought to avoid getting entangled into anything too big for them.

It wasn't the problem of the magus though, as he had made sure to send them away without letting them retain their memories of this place, the only problem was that Ithelisemou had probably reported eveything to the new king of Gloire but seeing no one calling him out for unleashing human sized pests everywhere, he believed that he would perhaps be able to stay out of the hook with that one.

Gloire and Aeraliun were far away from one another and separated by various other countries after all.

Amongst the otherworlders, only a few managed to stand out, a few of them were already dead, many just worked as adventurers and one was trying to get himself a good position, some others had been picked up by countries.

Lillen, a subordinate of the first general of Gloire, Jeanne, had decided to pick up three girls but they weren't really put to use for anything as Lillen hadn't done it with that in mind, she had just picked them up because they were lost girls.

Jeanne would have prefered if she had done so with some kittens rather than some otherworlders with unique abilities but now that they were here, she would rather keep an eye on them.

The one acting alone was the first one to have been summoned from the spell, a blonde man with strangely pale blue eyes, he always made sure to keep his hair slicked back and pushed on his head at all times, he was trying to rack up achievements to get himself in a good position and had somehow always managed to accomplish his feats despite the lack of anything grandiose on his part, he didn't even seem to have any unique ability, at least none that were obvious.

Apart from those, there was one another, who was living the dream that quite a few otherworlders seemed to have for some reason.

He had had brown hair that were in a slight mess and probably the least appealing personality possible but somehow managed to strive as a random adventurer and surround himself with women that by all accounts, were much more competent that him but were still flocking around him as if he was the messiah for no reason, he didn't even have an ability for that, his unique skill was that he got slightly more XP.

He was surrounded with beautiful women but still managed to avoid any flirtatious activities by sheer denseness, he was interested, they were interested but nothing happened, it was comical.

Watching him and his group from afar, leaning against a wall and wearing the same clothes as usual, Lust was fairly certain that she had found just the right person.

'A willing, virgin fool with good company...' she thought, her soft smile plastered on her face.

Despite the fact that as Lust, she was deeply enticing in every aspect, no one seemed to notice the blindfolded woman with strangely colored hair, it was like they didn't see her but still kept on avoiding bumping into hair.

The otherworlder felt a gaze on his nape and turned around, his eyes landing exactly and immediately on her, he couldn't see due to her blindfold but it clearly looked like she was staring right at him, with a beautiful smile that sent nothing but red flags to him.

"Gregory?" hearing his name being called out, he turned to look at the adorable cat girl in front of him, only listening to her for a few moments before looking back at the strange woman but she was gone without a trace.

'Calm down, surely it means nothing' he thought to reassure himself but she had left a big impression on him, he felt like a rabbit cornered in its own burrow.

The feeling quickly faded away however, vanishing as rapidly as it appeared, the streets of the medieval-looking city were bustling with people and movement, the country of Gloire didn't seem to be very diverse as a whole but a few other species were walking throught he busy streets.

Each time he saw people he could only see as images in his past world, his skipped a bit, as if he was child being presented with cute animals for the first time, of such 'cute animals' three had joined his party.

The grey-haired cat girl from earlier, who possessed only the ears and tail, marking her as not very cat-like among cat beastfolks, she was speedy rogue, using her ever so slightly more agile constitution and flexibility her advantage.

An elven girl, who was as most were, an archer, she had slightly greenish hair and eyes of the same color, albeit much lighter, elves were known for their dexterity and closeness with natural spirits, well for the most known species of elves at least.

Lastly, part of this unlikely group was an orc woman, standing much taller than the others, her skin was a dark green, signaling with type of orc she was, her tusks weren't as prominent as that of most other orcs and her long, unattended to hairs were brown but seemed to have a hint of red, her eys were of a regular brown and as expected, she was a pure warrior.

One thing that Lust noticed was that all four of them seemed to not understand what wearing armor was for, Lust knew that adventurers weren't of the brightest bunch but any that survived a bit at least understood that armor was good to avoid dying.

Lust was over the moon, this truly was the perfect group for her, they were young and stupid adventurers that were part of some love square.

She felt like dancing from sheer joy but knew restrain and kept on following them, the otherworlder failed to notice her this time as she wasn't letting him feel her gaze anymore, the fear he had felt when he had seen her was something else she was happy about.

'Aah, it feels like I am on the edge of a dream, I'll let them cook up a bit before going into action, I already have the place for it, I just need them to be ripe' she thought as she stared through a window, gazing at the group eating in some tavern.

She carressed the window, her hot breath casting fog on the glass, it seemed like winter was right around the corner, it rarely snowed in Gloire but it still tended to freeze, the temperature drop was pretty brutal but the Gloirians had lived here for a long time and could endure it without trouble.

Lust stood in darkness, the only light coming from through the window and was dim was it was only that of candles.

Soon, another light appeared from behind her, a guard had felt like something was off in this dark alley, a good intuition but poor instinct.

The guard approached, lantern in hand and hand clutched to his spear, he approached a bunch of planks and crates, the planks rested against a wall, having seemingly been forgotten here and the crates were the same, piled on one another and some having fallen down.

The guard squinted his eyes, he could have sworn that there had been a shape in front of the illuminated window a few moments ago, he was deeply unnerved, feeling very stressed about this, he had done this kind of things many times and it had never been anything serious.

Some kids, random people that got scared by the light approaching or just some animals, even when it had been bandits and criminals, he had easily managed them, there was no reason for him to be so scared now.

He approached the planks, there was enough space for someone to squeeze behind them.

One step at a time, slowly approaching it and at the last moment he leapt forward, shining his lantern light behind the planks.

"AH!" he shouted unconsciously.

There was nothing.

The guard heaved a sight and turned around, shining his light on the dark corner he hadn't paid attention to, revealing a darly clothed woman.

Both of them jumped back in surprise.

"Oh, you found me, wasn't expecting you to turn to that side" she said, laughing warmly as she spoke.

Hearing her laughing, he laughed alongside, everything was fine, it was just like the past times, it was just a normal woman, she must have been pulling a prank on him.

"Ahahah, I must say, you're pretty on guard" she added.

"Well, miss you a trickster, do you do this regularly?" he asked, still laughing with her.

Suddenly, she fell silent and just stared at him, the blindfold on her eyes not covering her gaze.

"Aha... ah?" the guard suddenly felt even more scared than before he noticed her.

She just stood there, silent and still smiling with that comforting and gorgeous smile.

"I, huh... will be going" he said, as he took a step forward, she also took a step toward him.

"M-make sure to get back home safely mam..." he said, his voice wobbly and limbs shaky.

"I'll just pretend I didn't see you!" he said, not realising he was already trying to beg for his life.

He took another step forward and as she did too, she was in range, slapping the lantern from his hand, it broke on the ground as the flame quickly started to weaken.

The spear fell down from his hand as a beautiful, one edged dagger with magnificient decorations on both the blade and handle, the metal was lustrous even when thick blood flowed on it.

She brought her finger in front of her mouth.

"Shhhhh" was what he heard as she slowly removed the blade from his throat, letting his body slide down against the wall of the alley.

"Sweet dreams~" she whispered as she calmly walked away from his corpse after wiping the blade on his own clothes and putting it back in her sleeve.
