Chapter 40 - Giving Out Orders

Theli currently sat down on a comfortable chair in the hidden area under his house, he had left Mila to practice the few basic movements he had shown her as Malina watched that she didn't hurt herself while doing so.

All around him, his creations seemed to waiting for him to speak, his chair was but a normal one but surrounded by all of this strange and powerful beings, it might as well have been a throne.

The room was blank, devoid of anything other than the people inside of it, the walls were made out of grey smooth stone, the ceiling was incredibly high, it simply wasn't visible, hidden behind a thick fog of darkness.

There were lights in the room but no visible source for them, it was as if they inside of the ground but somehow managed to cast a light through the solid ground.

The size of the room was nigh immeasurable, how this was possible underground was a wonder.

Theli laid his right foot on his left knee as he started speaking, breaking the total silence of the room.

Each of the figures stared at him, some with empty gazes, some couldn't see at all but still turned to him and some seemed to have a burning adoration on their eyes.

All paid close attention as he started calling out certain of them.

"AL-PS-4, you and all of the A-PS will pay close attention to the otherworlders and anyone that seems to be interacting with them, don't act unless I order you to" he said, his face devoid of his usual smile as he wore a serious expression.

He pointed his finger at the white cloaked assassin and his many dark cloaked subordinates and they vanished, emptying a portion of the room in a second.

"Jason, many of the otherworlders have chosen to go to Laparadi, go there and slowly make your presence known, do not overdo it, act only once in a while for minimal casualties, stay level headed" he then said while looking at the man with the wooden mask.

just like before, a simple point of his finger and he was gone.

"BPH-JP-2, I'll give you reign to carry out your hunt, simply avoid those with affiliations with allies or affiliations with potential ones, just like with Jason, do your best to keep the death toll low or to conceal it, remember to pay attention to those that aren't your preys" this time, he spoke to the stone masked figure, the being that had attacked the three champions of Heilig that had came to search around for the otherworlder a while back.

Theli had told him to pull back at that time since he considered Heilig to be a potential ally for Gloire and didn't want one of their elite to be hurt while on Gloirian soil.

He also didn't want to have BPH-JP-2 die as he wasn't easily replaced.

The stone masked being vanished like the other.

"BH-O, BH-I, you two will remain around and keep on learning" he said as he turned to a third person wearing a bag on their head.

"BH-GM, you may begin preparations, also go to Laparadi, make sure to establish yourself away from Jason" he told the third one, instead of a white bag, this one wore a bag made out of burlap and wore a light brown waist coat, a white shirt and trousers of the same coloration as the waist coat.

The bag's two corners gave a square-like shape to his head, the way he wore his clothes made it seem like he had dressed in a hurry and didn't care much about whether or not his clothes were clean.

The three bag heads vanished from their spot as Theli continued.

He went over many strange characters whose names seemed to mostly be codes of some kinds, by the end of it all, only a large group standing in lines was left.

There were many of them, most claded in dark and wearing a strange emblem somewhere on them, there were many differents types, within said types, the majority of them were identical, not a hint of personality or individuality was to be found in them.

In front of each groups, a few of them were slightly different, each having something that made them stick out compared to the others and lastly, in front of those few stood one that was nearly completely different and that seemed to actually have some sort of personality.

Theli stood up from his chair and went next to one that seemed similar to a certain group, those that wore a dark coat that went down to their knees and that were wearing plates armors from head to toe, each of the identical ones wielded a straight sword and a round wooden shield with metal on the edge of it and in its center.

She didn't have any shield however and only had a sword tied to her waist.

In truth, she wasn't from that knightly looking group at all.

"Upuh, you are in charge of all of them but for the moment, you'll have to contact me before doing anything requiring them" he said to her.

Upuh was the latest of his creations, he had high hopes for her and wanted her to be his right-hand but he first had to test her a bit.

He explained to her what she had to do and dark glint escaped from within the two holes of the helm visor.

She nodded somewhat mechanically before she suddenly vanished as all the other had before her, leaving only the army-sized ones behind.

Theli walked away, leaving them to stand in wait.

He may have planned to stay at his home for some time but he would still make sure to prepare some things and that was where having loyal subordinates was useful.

Noticing something, it was time for Theli himself to suddenly vanish, it was nearly impossible to tell what method he was using to teleport away but it didn't leave any remnants nor did it seem to cause anything as it happened, no visual or auditory clues.

Appearing right in front of the person he had been expecting without any warning, Ortenmia jumped up a bit but didn't let out any sound, instead, reflexively throwing her bag full of tools at what had scared her.

Theli caught it and acted as if nothing happened.

"It's been a while, are you satisfied with your learning?" he asked her as she composed herself, giving him tired look before flashing a small smile.

"I missed you Theli!" she said, walking closer and giving him a kiss on the lips which extended for a bit longer than it had first been planned.
