Chapter 45 - Nothing Better Than A Night Walk To Clear Your Head

The sound of the grass cracking as it is being crushed, a clear indicator that it was freezing outside.

Still, as night had fallen and two light blue moon stood high up in the sky, someone was enjoying some time outside, unpertubed by the cold atmosphere.

His breath was clearly visible, slightly shining as the faint light of the two moons passed through the particules.

There were no habitations around, no signs of intelligent lives were to be seen right now, he had been walking away from the city for a little while now, taking in the fresh air as he thought about anything that went through his head, enjoying stopping and paying attention to what seemed to be meaningless.

Why was one patch of grass more frozen than another? Why was one completely spared of the smother of the ice coffin? Why did some animals had yet to start their cycle and hibernate?

Why was that one tree so much more different than its brethen? Why did those two pale blue moons decide to appear today? Where did humanity stand in this world?

Why was someone following him?

He stopped and turned around, meeting the eyes of the stalker directly, for a few moments, they didn't move, believing that he hadn't really seen them and that it was a coincidence but as the few moments started to drag out and as the one they were tailing flashed a smile toward them, they stepped out from their hiding spot.

The stalker was about to speak up but found his words got stuck in his throat, he was confused, deeply so as their was no way for that sort of things to happen to him.

"Nullus Dominus Sanguis Potator" spoke the man that had been followed, the stalker stepped back instinctively with a face covered with confusion at the words being told to him.

"A lordless vampire, judging by your face, I would say one of the Nosferatu kind?" spoke the man as he fearlessly stepped forward while the one who had actually been following him did the opposite.

"Allons bon, what is the matter? Didn't you tail me to get a taste of my blood? Come on, don't be afraid, I thought undeads didn't know fear?" he said while stepping closer, showing his neck to the vampire.

Without a word, the vampire suddenly leaped forward, having gotten over his sudden apprehension.

Instead of feeling the warm sensation of blood trickling down his throat, he only felt the sensation of his face being grabbed.

"I didn't say I would let you do it" he heard the man say, unable to see or respond to him as the his hand covered his face completely.

"You clearly doesn't have what it takes for me to let you suck me" he added, the smile on his face was big enough to be noticeable by his voice.

The vampire tried to use his powerful clawed hands granted to him thanks his specific species to no avail, he hit nothing at all, all he did was move air a bit, he couldn't see but the man should definitely be in his range.

Instead of aiming for what was in front of him, he chose to go for what he was certain was there, the hand, he swiped at hit and for a split second was satisfied a he could feel his claws cutting through flesh but that was quickly gone as he realised it was his own face that he had clawed at.

'What the hell?!' he thought as started to really panic, struggling like baby trying to escape the grasp of its mother and never managing to.

He felt and heard something he didn't appraciate much, he could feel his skull slowly being compressed as it creaked at every single moment, as an undead, he felt no pain or at least he shouldn't have but it was hurting him like crazy.

Having your head squashed certainly was a harrowing experience for just about anything but it was even worse when you hadn't felt the light of pain for decades.

The hungry vampire had no blood to shed as his skull slowly caved in and started breaking apart, the shard stabbing through his pale flesh, his eyes slowly being crushed and pushed out, his teeth breaking apart, he felt it all.

"You have no idea whether there are others vampires around? That's unfortunate but I have to say, amongst the vampires I have met, you seem to be quite resilient, in mind I mean" spoke the man as he kept on closing his hand while holding the vampire's face.

"That's quite a surprise considering how impure you are, must a perk from when you were still breathing" he added, indeed, he had been able to guess this lordless vampire's exact species but that wasn't exactly obvious, he lacked the distinct head shape and appearance that he would have had had he not been so impure.

"No matter, you are still coming with me, you are going to my little lab" he said before completely crushing his head, no blood or gore landed on him, his hand was completely clean, it would have been a shame to stain his magnificient white uniform.

The vampire wasn't dead but he would be out of commision for a while, unlike his better brethens, he couldn't just shrug off such a wound.

The body of the vampire vanished alongside any parts of him that had been sent flying.

Ithelisemou continued his little walk and kept on questioning and wondering about every little things.

"Are you asleep Orti?" asked Malina in the darkness of the bedroom.

"No" simply responded the other woman.

"You are also waiting for him, huh?" added Malina, clearly sounding like she was smirking.

"What can I say? I am hoping to get a piece of him in that uniform" spoke Ortenmia.

"Yeah, me too"

"..."

"..."

"Want to warm up before he gets here?" suddenly said Ortenmia.

"I only do things with you because Theli is here, there is no point if he isn't" responded the blonde woman.

"Come on, it's just like when you use a table or knife handle"

"How the hell do you know about that?"

"You aren't very sneaky about it Malina, you should be careful now that there is a kid around"

"..."

"..."

"So is it a yes or a no?" she added after a few moments.

"No, you'll have to wait until Theli is here to get a taste of me"

"There is no point in getting a taste out of you specifically if he is here" muttered Ortenmia.
