Mr. Amos I didn't expect to see you here at this hour. Is there anything I can do for you? Katherine queried.
"Yeah, I came to inform you about the security service company we discussed a few days ago." Mr. Amos responded.
"Well, you could have called or better still, waited until tomorrow, Mr. Amos. You didn't need to go through all this trouble for me." Katherine says.
"It's no trouble at all ma'am. I just want to make sure that nothing happens to you." He says in a caring tone.
"Mr. Amos, you are too kind but I subscribed to your advice by calling the police to report that I'm being stalked. So, they are patrolling around the neighborhood as we speak until morning." Katherine says
"Oh, I see..." He says with a suspicious look.
While they were still having the conversation, a police van came and packed in front of the house after seeing a vehicle suspiciously parked along the driveway.
The police alighted, checked around to ensure the safety of the arena, and knocked at the door. Katherine, who was initially worried when she heard the sound of a vehicle parked in front of her house, got her fear dispelled at the sight of the police car. She therefore gladly went to open the door.
"Sorry ma'am, we saw a strange vehicle parked nearly in the opposite direction of your house and thought we should ask if someone came in here and that you are safe." The police expressed.
"Oh yes! It's just Mr. Amos. He sold this house to me and came because of the recent incident, but he is leaving now.
Mr. Amos stood up to leave. "I will call you tomorrow to make arrangements about the security issue once my friend comes back from his trip.
"Ohh...! Thank you so much," it means a lot to me for you looking out for my safety." Katherine appreciates him with a smile.
"Don't mention it. "See you around - little dove." He bade her farewell and headed toward his car to leave.
"Ma'am, we advise that you should not let anyone in here once it's late until we have caught who has been sending those letters, for your safety." One of the Police officers advises.
"Yes sir. I will do just that. "I'm so sorry for the trouble. Katherine reacted.
"No problem ma'am, lock your doors and have a good night's rest." One of the Police Officers says as they leave.
"Thank you and good night officers," Katherine said and shut the door.
After the police had left, Katherine called James to inform him that cops were patrolling the neighborhood in disguise to catch her stalker and that it would be best to cancel their plans for the night. James wasn't too pleased with it but thought about her safety so, he accepted to come another day when all was calm and over.
Amanda sees herself still at Katherine's place, it appears like another night. It was dark, looked like the power was out. Katherine was fast asleep but woke up at a shocking sound she heard from the sitting room downstairs. She tried to put on the light close to her bedside, but it didn't come on.
"What's happening; Why is there no light?" Katherine asks herself "Maybe the power went out in the neighborhood."
She got up took her phone with her and moved downstairs tiptoeing to check what it could be. The closer she got, the louder the sound was becoming. "What or who could it be?" She thought trembling.
"Could this be the night Katherine disappeared?" Amanda thought.
