Katherine couldn't move. She just stood there trembling when she noticed a shadow close to the door that leads to where she was standing.
"A stranger in my house, could it be the stalker?" "You have to go back Katherine she told herself while shivering."
"Get your phone and call the cops, it's not safe," Amanda whispers in fear at Katherine who couldn't hear her. "What am I doing? She can't even hear me, it has already happened; Amanda watches as Katherine keeps moving closer to where the sound is coming from.
Katherine decided to take a few steps back, but suddenly her wristwatch made a sound that alerted the person in the sitting room. Katherine noticed a swift movement of the shadow. She then ran upstairs to pick up her phone to place a call to the cops. Suddenly, she heard heavy footsteps approaching her door and ran to lock it but it was being pushed from outside while she tried to close it from inside. The force was more than she could handle, so she fell, and in came the stalker who grabbed her and covered her mouth so she couldn't scream. He was dressed in a black hoodie with his face masked so Katherine couldn't see his face.
"You can never run away from me. You belong to me. You are mine and no one else. How could you sleep with another man, a married man? And now, you are pregnant for him." He said as Katherine struggled towards the stairs trying to break free from him. "I mean he doesn't like you as I do. He is married. He doesn't want to leave his wife. So, stay still or I will have to make you." He added, holding Katherine ferociously.
Katherine struggled and almost had her way down the stairs but overwhelmed with rage, he threw a punch at her so hard that she fell from the force of it, off the edge of the staircase and straight down the stairs she rolled uncontrollably with her head hitting the ground with a dull thud and her neck broken. She twitched for a moment while bleeding and then became motionless.
"Katherine!!!" Amanda cries out in shock at the horror she just saw.
Realizing what he had done, he went downstairs and tried to pick her up but she was so heavy. He had killed her. He couldn't leave her there. He had to pick her up though she was heavy.
He got a sack and put her inside it. He slung her over his back and carried her to the backyard of the house where she raised flowers. He dug a grave, threw her body inside, and covered it with the growing flowers. "I killed her and I must make sure no one finds out. No one!" He muttered repeatedly.
He got into the house and cleaned everywhere to erase any suspicion. He removed his mask after which he took a heavy deep breath with his eyeballs gazing around uncoordinatedly and faked Katherine's handwriting with this:
Hey,
I had to move out of town because of the stalker who kept sending me weird letters; to where he can't find me so I can begin a new life.
Please, don't look for me, I am fine.
Katherine.
He dropped the letter on the table. Took her phone and sent the same message to James, her secretary, and the Agent. After he had done that, he switched off the phone, removed the SIM, and destroyed it. He moved upstairs, locked her room, and left with the key.
He headed slyly towards his car which he parked far away from Katherine's house. Inside the car, he muttered; "No one is going to find out!" No one is going to find out!"... and drove off.
Amanda, shocked at the horror she just witnessed, freezes and faints. Kelvin after hearing a sound rushes upstairs to where Amanda was and saw her on the floor unconscious picks her up shaking and screaming her name to bring her back to consciousness "Amanda! Amanda!! Kelvin calls out her name. Waking up back to reality, she stutters; "She is dead! She is dead!! With tears dropping from her eyes.
Kelvin asks curiously, who is dead? What did you see? What happened?
I saw him! I saw him! I saw his face! Amanda responds sobbing.
Who? Who did you see? Kelvin asks.
"The killer. The man who killed Katherine.
"You saw him? Kelvin asks still holding Amanda in his arms.
"Kelvin, she is dead and she died right here in this house. Amanda replies.
