Amanda again finds herself back at the apartment and sees Katherine sitting in the living room. Katherine heard a vehicle pulled up in front of her house and she checked through the window, it was Daryl. Daryl knocked but it was hard at first for her to open the door though she eventually did and he entered.
"Katherine, please forgive me. I can't live without you. I know I hurt you." Daryl expressed as soon as he entered
"Hurt me? Daryl, you did worse and I can't take it anymore. Please, leave!" Katherine exclaimed pointing to the exit door.
Being shocked at her reaction, Daryl realized that her mind was made up already and that it was too late by which he stood no chance at all, so he gently turned back and left.
Few minutes later, Katherine put a call through to Drew and as they were discussing, the door bell rang. ("The door bell..." Amanda says anxiously).
"Drew, I will have to call you back, someone is at the door." Katherine said.
"Hope it isn't Daryl?" said Drew on the phone.
"I hope not." Katherine replied and hung up. She headed to the door and asked, "Who is it?"
"It is me, James."
("Who is this James?" Amanda asks herself anxiously waiting to see the face of the person who met Katherine before she died.)
Katherine opened the door and before Amanda could take a better look at the person named James, she suddenly finds herself in Katherine's office.
Katherine, being a therapist was James's therapeutic agent after Mr. David, her boss referred him to her.
Katherine was sitting and deeply lost in thought when the door of her office opened and her secretary, Lana walked in and said;
"Ms. Katherine, Mr. James Johnson is here as scheduled.".
"Tell him to come in." Katherine said. While searching for a document she was previously working on, the door opened and Mr. James stepped in. Katherine observed him to be in his late 40s but still looking rather young and handsome with his small beard and blue eyes.
(Amanda, who is watching from the shadow becomes dumbfounded. She wonders why James came to meet a therapist. She could remember how James frowned every time she brought up the word 'therapy' at home whenever they had serious issues. He never believed that therapy is much of any good. So seeing him here shocks Amada greatly.)
"Hello Mr. Johnson, please have a seat." Katherine said with a warm smile as she ushered him to a seat. "Lana, could you get us some coffee please." She added
"Okay ma'am. I will do that right away." Lana said as she left them to get the coffee while they talk.
"Thank you Ms. Katherine for having me. I know you must be super busy." James said with a smile.
"Not at all, Mr. Johnson. Shall we start?" Katherine asked
"Yes, we should, please. The time is never a friend." James said
(Amanda, who still remains dazed by the person she is looking at, wonders why he came to see a therapist but while she still ponders on that, she finds herself in a bar where Katherine was sitting at the bar table sipping a glass of vodka martini cocktail. "I guess she is waiting for someone." Amanda thinks.)
Suddenly, a voice from behind her spoke; "Sorry I'm late, I was in a meeting."
(The voice sounds familiar to Amanda so, she turns back and discovers that it was James again but what he did next shocks her.)
James leaned closely to Katherine, held her by the waist and kissed her.
("OMG! James had an affair with Katherine!"
