Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

'Yeah! I know, you mean to say that he is a pretty handsome guy!' said Eliot. 'No, I don't mean that,' said Nora. Rosalie and the maid were way ahead of them. She happened to have find a beautiful place over there with a singular giant tree under the shade of which they would feel quite refreshed and would have shelter if it rains at any time. 'This is the spot! Neither too high nor too low!' she said and then screamed at the top of her voice which echoed in the beautiful maintains there, 'Hurry up! You lazy lambs!' Eliot and Nora walked slowly to the spot and remarked 'Come on, please slow down today! We are here for a picnic and comfort not for unease!' 'We are enjoying it instead of blabbering about some chauffer that could hear us from down the valley!' All of them laughed hard and then Nora said, 'is that right?'. 'I'll say! You see they didn't miss anything we talk about!' said Eliot.

Nora opened the gear and Rosalie took the picnic basket. The maid sett the mat and then the picnic sheet on the ground and Eliot helped her. Nora inspected the fabric she held so careful and asked Rosalie 'What is that for!' 'Oh that! . . .. Nothing!' replied Rosalie. Eliot told Nora to hand it over to her and Rosalie tried to yank it from Eliot whom she missed as he dogged her so swiftly. Nora laughed at her as they began to fool around. 'A beekeepers attire! Why is it here on a picnic day?' commented Eliot. Nora said, 'It's alright we can do with it! At least it is not a book! We can deal with whatever it is here for, later! But first, let's just eat, I am starving!' 'And wheezing too!' said Rosalie smirking. 'Look who is talking!' expressed Nora as Eliot and Rosalie were panting after their little play. Nora and the maid handed them their plates on which they placed steamed lamb pieces with gravy and a little salad. 'Wow, that is actually a high-end lunch from Nora and the crimson's kitchen!'

In the meantime, in the town Catherine came home from Mrs. crimson's boutique where she tried on several dresses which she still couldn't decide a single. 'You are back home!' Jonathan said. Catherine who was not aware of Jonathan sitting in the fireplace got surprised, 'God! . . .. John, just warn me before you scare me to death!' Johnathan smirked amusingly and asked, 'You found your dream wedding dress?' Catherine appeared low-spirited and said 'No, I could not! I was here for my wallet here and took my purse! I came back to pick it!' 'You look pretty fine to me today what do you think shall we pick the dress together! Please, do not say no! It would be a great favor my dear darling!' Johnathan irritating replied. 'Will you please, stop this buttering! I would not join you if you continued doing that!' While they locked the home and left, she asked him 'What were you doing there? Weren't you supposed to join Eliot at the picnic!' Johnathan began to feel the same maddening sensation that he recognized from the day before but held the storm inside him 'Yes, I was invited but I was out of sorts to join them!' Catherine looked concerned and put her arm around his holding it in a delicate manner. She inquired 'Are you alright, John?' 'Yes, Cathie! I am good!' They reached the crimson boutique in the town square. Laurie remarked 'Welcome, sir and ma'am! How can we be at your service this noon!' 'A wedding gown possibly for my dear darling sister here! The best one you ever have!' remarked Johnathan. 'Yes, Sir we create the best of the designs! Why not just settle you somewhere really good' she gestured them to a comfortable place to take their time while selecting the dress. Laurie was the most trusted employee and sub-supervisor after Mrs. Crimson was away for any sort of work outside the town. She satisfied the customers fairly well.

All four of them were done with their lunch and it was noon. Eliot suggested a hike up further above the mountain. The maid stayed as she was quite fatigued to match the energy the three of them owned. Rosalie muffled while running 'Let's see who would be able to beat me today!' Eliot ran more aggressively but Rosalie took the lead, and she stopped near the large tree and recovered her breath. But it was not the finishing stop and there Nora followed Eliot and Knocked him down with a push. He shrieked in weariness 'Nora, you cheat!' She rested down in enfeeblement and Eliot and Rosalie Reached on her head. Both of them settled down on the floor as well. The blue sky was bright with sun light, it was pleasant, and the green mountains looked even more lustrous with greenery that it hypnotized the birds to land and gaze at the site and it stopped the travelers and wanderers to get lost in the enticing spell of nature. Three of them remained silent in the same position for some time lying on the ground and enjoyed the bewitching luxury.

Then they felt too unaccustomed to it and Eliot uttered 'So, who will go first?' Nora lifted her shoulders a bit gesturing in disagreement. Then he asked Rosalie to which she replied, 'You must go first!' 'Alright! Here goes nothing . . .. I offered you your chance but now as it is my turn! Hear me out, silently! I would suggest a no interruption mood on your part! It's a humble request!' said Eliot before he began. 'This a talk dump may be a type of norm that many people practice here! I think it would be equally healthy for us as well!' Both the girls gestured in agreement. Rosalie sat down strait by the time he started talking. 'I know it may sound bizarre however, I have a secret that I desire to share today! You are well aware of the number of acquaintances or friends I have! Some of them are even more fast friend to me among them! Let's say, there is a mystery best friend of mine and . . ..' Nora gestured to say something which seized Rosalie's attention and before she could interrupt, she nudged her with her finger, and she stopped before Eliot could notice her intention. But he had an instinct that she would mean to interrupt, and he looked at her curiously. But she remained silent. 'I like her a lot, may be intensely and it's been years!' Both the girls gestured him in confirmation that they followed what he meant. 'I just think that my confession would just weird us out! I need your opinion on that!' finished Eliot. 'Mm mm . . .. boy! You do need that opinion!' remarked Nora. Rosalie told her to be serious as he didn't joke at all about it. She said, 'In my opinion, you must go for that because if you don't there wouldn't be another chance!' Nora nodded in disagreement and said, 'Just subtly try to spill her opinion applying the same question and you will know! And as of me I might be partially undelighted but will be okay with it later on!' Rosalie commented, 'Wow, what a genius plan! Why did you not come up with it, Eliot?' She was a bit uneasy with what just actually happened, but Nora was clueless as to what she has done. Eliot got his answer, and it was certainly 'A no for him' Nora agreed with ignorance 'Yes, Eliot you possess a better intellect than me but yet . . ..! It's alright just thank me later for that! But seriously let's just consider if you . . ..' pointing at Eliot 'ever ask me out I would rather say no, then to just ruin our friendship!' Eliot turned red with embarrassment that Nora brought over herself not realizing that Eliot was glad to have not married an idiot! Rosalie just wished was she was dead than having to face that moment and think about it ever happened. She interrupted, 'Alright, let's just walk a bit further! . . .. it is almost time for Sunset! Eliot nodded in affirmation, and he walked near the tree. He was so self-conscious that to shake it off he acted recklessly. He mounted the tree and Rosalie ruminated a sense of Déjà vu where Eliot climbed the tree and bees stung him really bad! She had the sheet in her small bag pack, she wore slyly before Nora or Eliot noticed her. She wore the beekeepers dress and called Eliot. He didn't listen to her, and Nora also desired to climb the tree right then. Rosalie held her by the hand and forced her in another gear.
