Rosalie and Nora continued their visits to Eliot in the hospital. He was so glad to have such a good company. They brough him gifts and they knew that their workshop was approaching, and he must get recover real soon. Rosalie once paid him a visit alone as Nora was quite busy with some plant experimentation at Scarlet Garden. Three weeks span passed since the incident and Eliot would discharge in a fortnight. She was actually pleased and brought him some sunflowers and lavender bouquet from her artificial flower beds. They cheered him up and he felt really bright and refreshed on catching sight of these. 'I could never get tired of these handmade beautiful bouquets!' he remarked. 'Yeah, they are pretty therapeutic that's what the doctors said!' She paused for a brief moment went to his bedside window. She placed her hands on the windowsill and leaned a bit forward to feel the calm breeze that noon. Eliot looked at her with curiosity and articulated 'What happened? . . .. I have been meaning to question you about it, but you always brought Nora with you!'
She leaned a bit back and sat on the frame of the window, he shut the door closed as she entered the room. And spoke, 'I know you were heart-broken that day but that was foolish!' he laughed a bit and replied, 'Not all wise man can be wise at all the time! -Quote some old Greek or I don't know who? But that is not the answer to my query! Will you not share that? Isn't that what you are here for?' She smirked as she turned to look outside at the people on the town square being engaged in what they presume the significant purpose in life. Eliot remained quiet for another brief moment and a nurse came in to check on her. She immediately flew off the widow-frame and stood straight in front of it. Eliot laughed and said, 'You can sit on the window the nurses don't bite!' Rosalie turned pale in embarrassment and grumbled, 'Why don't you be patient and I would make it certain you know what bites! Right?' The nurse briefed Eliot on his discharge date he recovered quite quick and was well. He just required a week to feel like himself once more. As the nurse was about to leave Eliot addressed her to shut the door behind her and Rosalie leaned over the window again to enjoy the outside view. 'Seriously, you are not as cheerful as the flowers you brough today, they are extra beautiful and scented today!' 'That is because I showered a little water to get the dust off today! Other days we brought the brushed off ones!' She responded. 'So, that was the reason I had those allergies in the last few weeks! My Lord, I am obliged for such thoughtful laziness!' teased Eliot.
She was upset due to her mother, and more than anyone else from herself. Eliot could sense that was the case but not the reason. 'You know . . .. if you would not speak, I would not be able to know or help you!' 'I know that Eliot but lots of new things that have revealed themselves are quite hard to process! I am experiencing trouble right now! I do not want to trouble you or stress you and with that heartbreak!'. 'Oh, my dear friend, that is quite kind of you! I know that you would consider my situation before you could ask for my opinion! As much as I would not say that inadequate phrase 'that is what friends are for! I would choose to say I am all ears because I want to assist you if I am capable of that! So, do not worry I had my time to process my minor heartbreak because I just saved myself from the greatest humiliation of the century! I want to hear you out, now began with it!'. Rosalie was all warned up by his peptalk. She was glad to have such an amazing and forbearing friend by her side.
Catherine went to the boutique and had a look at her beautiful gown which was ready. She tried it on, and she was perfect in her puffy shouldered sleeved gown. She was aw-struck by how perfect she thought it was. Everyone in the shop looked at her dress with praise. Laurie remarked 'It looks amazing on you!' While she changed and was about to leave finalizing the date, she would like it delivered to her address, she was approached by a woman who held that 'You made that dress way beautiful! You will have a happy wedded life, but it would cost you a little trouble!' She was an old Drifter. The town believed her to foresee the coming events. She did not charge anyone anything unless they teased her to tell a fortune. She just dumped predictions on the people who need help in some ways. She sorts of felt like Catherine required that reading but she didn't believe in things like that. Catherine sensed anomalous feeling and that was a bad one. She talked to herself 'I do not believe it and I do not give it any sort of power over me!' She breathed in a relaxing manner and left the boutique. She wanted to go by Johnathan's office, but she decided not to.
Rosalie sat down on the seat which she placed near Eliot's bed. She detailed Eliot about what happened at the restaurant and how Johnathan grew outraged due to that. Eliot stayed silent and after a minute's pause said 'So, to put it simply, you wrecked it this time really bad, and you failed to tell him that you like him! That's the reason, he disagrees to join us at the picnic when I invited him!' He shuddered a little as to how upset she felt about it and felt a little pity for her. 'I seriously don't see how I can help you but . . .. I would simply advise you to talk to him' he suggested. 'That is what the problem is?' she sighed. 'You think he would not listen! You are wrong! The way he looked at you that night was pretty much noticed by everyone I presume! And if you have just tried to avoid that eye-contact you just failed to read what they said!' he elaborated. He continued after a brief pause, 'I would not add a word and I know you would not dare to talk to him! Why are you afraid of confessing to him your feelings!' She glimpsed at Eliot as if she pleaded for help. Eliot got fumed and said, 'If you wouldn't say it to him, he will go back to Italy! This is the last chance if you would tell him now! It is done for sure!' Rosalie leaned at the side of his bed and felt helpless. Her eyes flooded with tears. 'I know you are afraid of losing him! we all are afraid of losing someone we love but it is the right way that you handle it yourself! Nobody will be there to do it for you!' She sobbed and Eliot placed a hand over her head and patted her gently oh the back of her head. She replied in agreement by gesturing through her head and wiped her tears. The eyes had pain and they appeared red it was just not Johnathan that troubled him it was her mother. She decided not to talk about her mother to anyone ever, not even her friends. And now she felt that her mother was responsible for her father's death, that's what actually was troubling her. Eliot made a mistake, and he just broke the barrier that she created but she held it well. She wanted to talk about Johnathan, but she yearned to hear something doable. The confrontation was the hard part. 'It will get better just gain a little courage, love!' said Eliot.
