Author's note : here's a new chapter :)
"It's good that you got up, I already thought I killed you," she said casually. "So she spoke so casually about my death!? I thought with a tinge of anger.
"Sit down at the table and eat, I also want to hear the answers to my questions," she said in such a tone that she would not accept a refusal. I sighed, walked over to the table and sat down at the table. "Delicious~" I thought, sniffing at the food on my plate. There was a small piece of fried meat on the plate, and it gave off such a tempting smell that I could barely restrain myself from pouncing on it. I noticed a few vegetables around the meat, but they didn't really attract me, but they smelled delicious too. "There are no poisons here, at least I didn't feel them, although she can literally kill me without resorting to poison," I concluded and took a fork and a knife, and then cut off a small piece of meat and chopped a couple of vegetables with a fork and put it in my mouth.
- Mmm, yummy, - I said and continued to eat meat. After a minute, I ate everything off my plate and finally looked at this woman. "What's her name? I asked myself and then asked her this question.
- My name is Anael, and what about you? And who are you anyway? Anael asked me.
- My name is.... - I answered her and in shock let go of the cutlery and grabbed my head, as some memories began to come to me. "Ah, what are these memories and whose are they!? Maybe it's memories of the body? "I assumed and soon got an answer.
- Hey, are you okay? Anael asked, and I nodded calmly, as if nothing had happened.
"I am a combat chimera prototype 3, codenamed object 003," I said in my dispassionate tone, slightly stunning Anael. She made a thoughtful look and closed her eyes, it seemed that she was digesting this information now. "Hmm, what is she thinking about? I want her not to kill me," I prayed, and all the while I was watching the slightest movement of her body. "Well, you know, when the person in front of you can decide whether you live or die, you will feel uncomfortable," I thought and continued to look at her.
After a very long five minutes, Anael finally opened her eyes and stared at me with them, and because of this I felt uncomfortable.
"First tell me how you got here," she said in a softer tone.
- OK... Where should I start... - and I began to tell about my "adventures" in the laboratory and my escape, omitting details about my future self and some events. It took a little over 20 minutes.
"And so I woke up here and met you, Miss Anael," I finally finished my story. Her expression often changed depending on what I was talking about, from complete disgust and anger to pity and mild surprise. "I told her everything, and what will she tell me," I thought and waited for her opinion.
- Girl, are you reborn? Anael asked, and I was stunned by what seemed to be in front of my eyes. "How did she guess!? I asked myself, but soon calmed down a little and answered.
- Yes, I answered shortly, or you thought I could deceive her, ha, I'm sure she already suspected me. She only nodded weakly and seemed to be thinking again, and I? I was just in shock and stared at her uncomprehendingly. "No reaction? Does she see reborn every day? "I couldn't help but ask myself.
"Reborn ones are not so rare, girl," she said calmly to me, and then added, "but you are a different case, since you were not called in the usual way," Anael finished.
- You say that your name is object 003? She asked me, and I answered her with disgust.
"No, this old man gave it a code name, and I'm not going to accept it," I answered her firmly, even despite the surrounding pressure. She seemed to be waiting for my words and nodded weakly.
"Well, what name do you want?" - she asked and smiled maliciously. I had a strange feeling about that smile.
"I don't care about the name, and it doesn't attract me in any way," I answered honestly. It was the pure truth, since I connected with my body, some people's problems that could bother me no longer bothered me, for example, clothes.
"When I was fighting, I didn't have to worry that these bandits would see my naked body, and it didn't bother me, since I was more worried about my life and escape, but in everyday life it's different, even though I didn't have a daily life," I thought and put his thoughts took a back seat and focused on Anael. After my answer, she laughed a little and said.
"Girl, this "old man" did a good job on you," she said mockingly, but it confused me. "Why is Anael trying to mock me? I asked myself, but I couldn't find the right answer and stared blankly at her.
- Girl, do you know what you're made of? They asked me, and I gently shook my head. "I wonder what this madman has stuffed into me, but so far he has been stuffing this "infernal" toilet into me," I thought, and a chill ran down my spine, and everything inside shrank. "Don't think about it, you're far from it," I thought in my favorite prayer form. And after a few seconds, I felt a huge pressure, deep as a well, but it was something different, not like what she scared me with during our first meeting.
My breath caught in my throat, I clutched at my throat and tried to breathe, but because of this pressure, the air seemed to be knocked out of my lungs. I stared at Anael in shock and saw a serious face. "Wh-what the fuck, this pressure is exerted on something else, on something that is deep inside me," I concluded, and a wave of fear rose from the depths of my body, to which I could not help but react. "What should I do?! "I was shouting out my thoughts, but my body seemed to react on its own, without my participation.
A feeling of anger burst out of me because of this pressure. "Something has awakened, and I don't even know what it is! "in fear, I thought that something would happen to my body. A second later, a similar pressure burst out of me, but deeper, irritated and slightly worried, as if it was protecting something. But as soon as the pressure broke out of me, her aura immediately dissipated, and so did mine, and I was finally able to breathe normally.
"Hmm, I almost killed a baby dragon," Anael said in a casual tone. "What? A baby dragon? Am I a mother? "countless questions flashed through my head like lightning. After a full 30 seconds, I was able to find the ability to speak.
- What the hell just happened and what kind of dragon? I asked Anael. To which she thought for a moment and replied.
- This pressure was the suppression of the bloodline, and it is often used by animals to establish hierarchy and intimidate their opponents, - having said this, she added, - I checked what you are made of, or rather, what animals they placed in you, but it turned out that there were only two of them. they - having finished this, Anael stopped a little to give me time to digest this information.
"It was the suppression of the bloodline, hmm, an interesting thing, but I consist of two animals, but judging by the memories of the body, there were at least a dozen animals in me, but now there are only two of them, strange," I thought doubtfully and I formed even more questions. The answers that lie in my "hotel".
"Dragon cub is a term used by all members of the dragon race, that is, you are a dragon cub, and what I said about death is true. Having killed the dragon bloodline, you would have died, but another bloodline protected you," she said bluntly and clearly, but my thoughts were only occupied with this term.
"Am I a baby dragon? So I'm a dragon? "I asked myself and could only answer yes. "Yes, I know these are stupid questions, but not for me. They are all important in their own way " I didn't know how to describe my feelings, but one huge feeling has not left me until now. It's a thirst for knowledge. "I want to learn everything that is known about magic, but I need someone who can give this knowledge," I involuntarily shifted my gaze to Anafel and spoke.
- Can I join you as an apprentice? I asked with undisguised excitement.
