Author's note: if it's not difficult for you, write a review about my book and enjoy reading :)
"Phew, this will be the last exchange of blows," I thought, while my breathing was heavy and intermittent. My claws have changed and become much bigger and sharper, but also heavier. "My gain is only enough for 4 attacks," I analyzed and did not turn off the blood magic. "She's taking too much mana and she's very important to me right now. Phew, I lost a lot of blood, but it was worth it " it was the last thing I thought and quickly rushed to Anafel. My hair was blowing in the wind and covering a distance of 15 meters in two seconds.
I swung towards her hand and swung my clawed hand to break the sword. When the sword and claws collided, a metallic clang of metal was heard and then a crack. "Yes, he broke and there are 3 lunges left! I thought, dodging the approaching dagger. Without hitting me, she quickly broke the distance with me and was almost ten meters away from me.
- I won't let you go! I roared and used the lunge again. Once next to her, I swung my clawed hand again without any technique or grace. I looked like a predator, and I don't care about technique, now my goal is to kill. She was using something again to increase the distance between us. "Damn it! Why does she run all the time? "I couldn't help but ask myself. "I have two attacks left, but I couldn't do any damage to her... Wait, I have an idea," I thought and began to execute it. Different diagrams raced through my mind to do what I want. "Yes, I'm ready, but I have one lunge left and it should be enough for me," I thought, and soon I started having a headache.
I could only grit my teeth and start executing my plan. I stopped and a small diagram appeared in my left hand and it glowed softly, but was soon absorbed by my hand. This action made Anafel wary and she tried to increase the distance even more. "No! I won't give you a chance to escape! I screamed in my mind. I rushed forward and raised my hand with the diagram in it to throw my glove. This action surprised Anafel and she dodged to the right easily avoiding my glove. But I needed it.
I changed my trajectory and headed towards her. Along the way, my diagram worked and grew a new glove. Approaching her, I closed my hands on her head like a dragon's mouth. A loud bang was heard spreading throughout the training room. And after this action, I fell to the floor and breathed heavily and my eternal ice claws turned into ordinary ones. "Ugh, I..." before I could finish the thought, I heard Anafel's soft voice.
"You're doing great, Shiro," she said, and I fainted.
POV: Dr. Keely
- Damn, they ran away! I shouted and wanted to start chasing them, but Reggie stopped me.
- Dr. Keely, you can't go out with such wounds, you will die, - he said, and I could not refute his words. " The situation is dangerous, my arm is severed, internal bleeding, dozens of wounds and also one of my tentacles is severed," I analyzed myself and turned my gaze to Reggie. "His injuries are no better, but at least he was left with all his limbs, but judging by the torn clothes and blood covering his body, he was wounded more than a hundred times. Tenacious as a cockroach, " I thought and went towards the blockage.
"Damn, we lost more than half of the scientists and almost all the guards," I analyzed the destruction of the laboratory. There used to be a smooth floor and smooth walls, but now this place resembled a long-destroyed laboratory. I also heard the shouts of scientists and guards who were lucky enough to survive in this battle. Some were glad that they survived, some stood over the corpses of their colleagues and just a couple of hours ago they worked together, overcame difficulties, but now those who survived are crying over their corpses. "Those who died were weaklings, well, or they were just unlucky," I thought casually and was already approaching this blockage where the inner part of the laboratory was located.
- Head of the laboratory, welcome, - said several surviving scientists when I approached the collapse. Without answering them, I asked a question.
- Is there a result on dismantling this blockage? I asked one of the scientists, without specifying to whom I was asking it.
- The blockage has been dismantled by almost 20% - the learned girl answered shortly. I looked at her. The girl is tall, slender, with thick short curly dark brown hair, narrow eyes with a soft look. A wide oval face adorns a small nose and small lips. " Only 20%, you don't need much faster, but everyone here is very exhausted," I thought and involuntarily frowned and it seemed the girl was a little scared.
- P-excuse the Head, but you need to provide first aid and find your hand, - she said meekly and involuntarily turned her gaze to the stump of her hand. I nodded weakly and was about to go to the doctors, but Reggie stopped me. This made me frown heavily and strain my so exhausted body.
- I will clear the blockage, I have mana left for one fire ray - he said briefly and headed into the blockage while a spell began to form in his hand. After thirty seconds, he moved his hand forward and there was a small ball of fire in front of his hand. This ball was the size of Reggie's palm and shimmered with different colors. From light red to dark red. In the next second, this spell hit the blockage causing a huge explosion and dust rose.
After a few minutes, the smoke cleared and a hole measuring 4 meters in diameter appeared in front of me. The surrounding laboratory staff was stunned, and some were even frightened by the sudden explosion. Only those who heard Reggie's words were not afraid of this rumble. He turned to me and looked slightly pale and his breathing was slightly ragged.
"We need to hurry, Dr. Keely, so quickly treat the wounds and let's go," he said and sat down on one of the stones to restore some mana. I quickly went to the first available doctor and ordered him to treat my wounds as soon as possible.
Ten minutes later, my wounds stopped bleeding and I felt the effects of my battle. "Ugh, it's quite painful, oh, if I had regeneration as an object," I thought and abruptly stood up, but because of my wounds I felt some pain.
- Dr. Reggie, it's time for us to go, and let the scientists clean up the battlefield - I said quickly and he hurriedly followed me, but he also got a good one. For five minutes we walked along the corridor and the siren sounded softly in some parts of the way, but soon we came to the place where I activated this alarm. We passed on.
- Phew, we finally reached the entrance where the subjects are being held, - I said and then went to the doors and barriers. "No one has cracked these barriers? Strange," I thought, and became alert. Going to the door, there was a control panel next to him and I had to enter my mana and the protection itself would turn off. Entering mana soon, a small rumble and clang of metal was heard. The barriers were removed, and the locks installed in the doors opened, which gave me the opportunity to open the door, which I actually did. "If only he were in place..." I prayed to all kinds of deities.
Looking inside, I was only waiting for endless disappointment.
- NOOO! They stole it! I shouted, and Dr. Reggie's face smiled slightly, but I didn't know that.
