"Headbands?' Alea glared, "Do you realize it, this gift from you makes my head itch." My hands rushed to remove the headband.
"This is good. Sin refuses people's gifts."
"Let it go! Why are you bothering me, my sins are on my own? No matter how much you advise me. I won't be able to change. Want to know why? Because you're annoying," I snapped. I knew his advice wouldn't be able to bring me back to the way it was.
"As you say. By the way, how is my field decoration? Do you like? This is especially for the two of us. Are you ready to lose and scratch the wall?" he winked.
"Ugly. I don't like it. We'll see, you win or me."
In the afternoon, the audience rushed out of the room to the field. Because college was over they wanted to watch the basketball game. One of them used my name and photo attributes to encourage me to become a winner.
The students behaved like soldiers in the back row of their superiors. It's different with the female students since they have been rushing out to get close to Liam and encourage him. I knew what they were going to do because I could hear him plotting something. They ruined my name with various insults which he did not respond to. Liam pretends to be indifferent and doesn't care what they have to say.
Our feet stepped through the room of Liam and Julia, the woman with a sweet face in front of the man she liked. Calissa held my hand tightly and walked leisurely beside me.
Suddenly Julia blocked my path with members of the dance department who were already wearing their costumes, carrying knick-knacks to wear when dancing merrily. I know Julia is supporting Liam so he wears a costume and doesn't go home.
"We think we can beat Liam? Don't dream! A cat will still be a cat even if it's a kind, it won't turn into a tiger as a leader," he said harshly.
"You'll see, the cat claws at us and the tiger cries and can't hurt anything like that."
I looked cynically and nudged Julia's arm then continued to the shouts of my loyal friends behind me. Julia was surprised. For a moment his heart was hurt because I spoke too harshly, full of confidence, and trying to be strong. I entered the field door.
The audience almost filled all the seats on the court and was ready to watch the basketball game. Surprisingly the audience was split into two parts. On the right the students supported Liam, and on the left the students supported me. A boisterous cheer rang out to welcome my arrival.
All of this must be Liam's plan to spread information about this amazing individual basketball game.
So, the one to blame is Liam. Maybe he deliberately spread the info of this match so that everyone can see him win, laugh at my suffering and I will end up humiliating him.
Liam was already standing in the middle of the court wearing a sleeveless basketball jersey and showing the strong muscles in his hands. He smiled contentedly waiting for my presence. My feet staggered along with Calissa to the gym changing room to wear the same basketball shirt Liam was wearing.
"How are you feeling now?" Calissa watched me unbutton my shirt.
"I don't know. You see, the audience is almost full, right?"
"The thing you are most afraid of is that we lose and are watched by one school. The prestige of a famous woman will fall and be replaced by someone else." Calissa's voice was worried.
"Prestige is no longer the thing that I think about now, I just want to be free from Liam." My voice was resigned to nothing.
I came out of the dressing room and walked slowly accompanied by Calissa who had moved away choosing a seat in the middle of the other audience. Our eyes met each other for a moment. Liam raised his hand with a snap of his fingers in one light motion, leaving everyone speechless as if the hand gesture was on cue, letting us all finish.
Looks like Julia's friends are already there dancing on the sidelines, they might come when I change clothes in the gym locker room. Julia encouraged Liam which this man ignored.
I've got the basketball. The signal to start the game was loud and we moved quickly to play the ball here and there, jumping and running. Liam stared at me intently as he reached for the ball in my hand, trying his best to cripple any weakness I had. But I'm not so stupid as to get lost in the look in his eyes.
A few minutes of playing sweat dripping on the forehead. I immediately wiped quickly and grabbed the ball I got. I ran to the ring where to put the ball and jumped high. Succeed! My lips smile a little because it feels like it's not in vain to put the basketball in the right place
Yes, this is the first score. Liam saw me get the score even more excited to beat me. He sprinted toward me like a gust of wind and could feel my hands touching his cold sweaty hands.
Then I looked down at my empty hand—the basketball was now with my opponent! Liam immediately laughed at me who was standing still, confused in silence. I quickly woke up and immediately ran after him. Stupid! It was too late, Liam had put it in first and equalized our score.
The audience screamed hysterically again, even very hysterical, seeing the match starting to heat up. Anger welled up in my heart. Stupid, so stupid! I immediately prepared myself and put out my extra energy because I didn't want to lose again.
Time is running out, it doesn't feel like this fierce battle will end and our score remains the same, neither win nor lose at the last moment.
Now, the basketball is in my hands.
Suddenly Liam stopped me and tried to outwit my move tactics because he wanted to get the basketball. I'm strong enough to dodge him. But unfortunately, he cheated by putting his feet on mine, so I tripped and almost fell on the floor.
