After leading me to sit on an empty bench. Liam took a wide stride, then two minutes later he came back saying quickly, Here.
I turned my head. This time there was a feeling of being touched to see the man bring mineral water and tissue. Liam told me to wash my face until the makeup was gone. I gently washed it on my face, when I was done Liam told me to be quiet then he grabbed the tissue he had bought. The man helped me remove traces of the damn make-up until it was clean again.
"If you hadn't come I might have passed out." I pouted as I held my clean face.
"You stupid! Do you think wearing thick makeup like that can cancel my intention to go? No... That won't happen. Next time don't do that stupid thing again. Your face could be ruined by that damn powder."
My voice suddenly caught in my throat not knowing how else to explain it. I looked down. I was indeed wrong.
Suddenly I remembered something, Where's my order? I asked changing the subject.
"I dropped it... here... Look! The cotton candy was stepped on."
"Yah…" My voice seemed disappointed.
"Get rid of your frowning face. We'd better go there and see the manufacturing process, we'll buy it at any price," he asked.
I nodded in agreement because I was curious about the process of making it. We jogged towards the merchant, and my eyes were instantly amazed at how easy it was to make. I just found out that cotton candy is made from granulated sugar that has been colored, one of which is pink and white, then placed in a container, then ground.
The resulting granulated sugar is then attached to sticks that are rotated by the machine and form lightweight cotton that looks very attractive. After the manufacture is complete, it is put in transparent plastic and can be sold for consumption. I smiled contentedly getting one of the cotton candy that I had been wanting for a long time.
After that, Liam took me to the horse racing arena, and I sat on it enjoying some delicious cotton candy. No one looks at me strangely anymore, only sweet glances come from the face of the guy sitting there.
The cotton candy I just ate was slowly shrinking and almost gone. I asked Liam and the man then explained that it was normal, cotton candy can't be stored too long let alone exposed to the wind because it will shrink by itself. I nodded in understanding—what a strange sweet that was hard to come by.
Satisfied with riding a swivel horse, I immediately looked at the accessories and was attracted to my favorite white beanie. Liam watched me stare at the beanie over and over, then he paid without saying a word, even ordering my name to be written on the rim.
I almost screamed with joy at getting something I wanted. We stay away from the accessories dealer, and Liam tells me to untie my hair and put a beautiful beanie on my head. With happy hearts, we continued our way to the target shooting game arena.
The game is quite easy, just by shooting all the piles of cans until they fall and can get prizes. Without hesitation, Liam did that and shot one by one skillfully. The owner of the target shooting arena applauded his prowess and even gave me a very large white teddy bear as a gift.
"This is for you, the white bear suits your very pretty face."
The shop owner praised me sincerely. I blushed at his compliment and happily accepted my favorite color doll.
"You guys are a perfect match, I hope it lasts until the wedding," he continued.
Our eyes were wide as big as balls because we couldn't believe the prayer he was saying.
"We're not dating, our voices are in unison." The person just laughed, not responding anymore.
We left from there and didn't have the slightest conversation. Just a few steps out of the game arena, we met a clown who insisted on taking a photo with me. A flash of camera flash dazzles my eyes and it's Liam's turn to be pulled in for a photo of the three of us with a clown.
I smiled waiting for the shots of the photo which he said was done right away. The long wait finally came out and I burst out laughing looking at the photo of Liam being kissed by a clown, with disheveled hair. The clown messed up his hair.
Really fun night. No wonder Liam likes this place. I thought the night market was unpleasant, dirty, and smelly. Turns out I was wrong. Everything was unexpected, this is the first time I have felt happiness again since Mother left me for good.
It doesn't feel like time has gone by so fast. We've been at the night market for two hours enjoying true peace. I haven't tried all the arenas yet but I want to go home soon because Aunt Chelsea must be worried. Liam walked me home to the front of the house.
"Thanks for today, I enjoyed it." Liam opened his voice with a smile.
"I must fulfill those conditions." I turned around and lied to my heart that I felt happy too. leaned back against the chair. I could feel my stomach growl for food. As a result of getting up late, everyone was in a hurry, starting from wearing school uniforms, loading books, to wearing shoes and socks. I feel this symptom because this morning I forgot to eat breakfast, even though everything is already available. I walked casually towards the cafeteria, and at that moment a box of lollipops appeared in front of my eyes.
Who else if not Jono, one of the Cliquerz Gang who still hopes to be my boyfriend again. How stupid of him, a few weeks ago he almost lost his gang friend because of fighting over me. That day the desire to have me was still in his heart.
"Hey, beautiful. Where are you going?" He smiled faintly as he handed me the candy.
"None of your business."
"He's begging for forgiveness. It's not wrong, right, I invite you to eat in the canteen?"
"Unfortunately, Liam asked me first. So before we get to the cafeteria, better get out of here or you'll get a black face," I snarled.
