Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

The announcement of Liam's oath in the cafeteria earlier, in a matter of hours, spread out one school. The students were hysterical to hear the information, they were jealous to death. They thought I had a chance to take advantage of it. But after hearing he loves me, it's time to see how far he struggles he loves me. Is it just because of my beauty? Or very sincere from the bottom of his heart?

After school, as usual, I waited for Mr. Abu outside the gate. Not long after, Mr. Abu arrived on time. A black sedan appeared in the distance and drew closer to me. Mr. Abu got out of the car, let me in, and sat in the back seat. When my right foot came in, a hand gently grabbed my arm to stop me.

"Wait, you don't have to bother Mr. Abu anymore. I'm ready to be a motorcycle taxi driver wherever you go." Liam opened his voice.

Several female students who passed in front of me and saw this immediately looked at us cynically.

"Well... Liam wants to be a motorcycle taxi driver the trophy takes turns." They laughed loudly and then continued their stopped pace. I don't think I need to care about people who are jealous of me.

"Okay. But remember, from now on you must be on standby for twenty-four hours to comply with all my requests."

"I'm ready to comply with all your requests until you want to accept me as your girlfriend." He smiled contentedly and pulled my arm to leave.

Finally, I told Mr. Abu to go home alone. Pak Abu understood and advised Liam to always take care of me and not to drive a motorbike recklessly.

On the way I enjoyed the wind blowing my hair into a mess.

"Stop!" my voice sounded clear in his ear.

"Why?" he stops the bike.

"Hurry down! Buy me a chocolate ice cream." I pointed my hand at the sidewalk.

"Would you like some ice cream? Wait a minute, I'll get it." Liam parked his motorbike on the sidewalk not far from the ice cream vendor.

I stood watching Liam walk towards me with the ice cream I wanted, his eyes sparkling and not at all complaining. I grabbed the ice cream quickly

"Is this ice cream or trash? Why does it taste so bitter? Take! You try it yourself." I glared at him, my hand deftly throwing the ice cream right at his closed mouth and it melted on his shirt.

He just looked at me for a moment trying to be patient with my very rude attitude.

"I'm sorry, Alea. I didn't know it was bitter. If you want I can buy you another one on the spot." Liam is guilty, not showing the slightest bit of anger.

"I have lost my appetite for ice cream. Let's go home!" I made a sullen face.

Liam realized I was angry. The first thing he did was reach into his pants pocket, find a tissue and clean up the ice cream that I threw away. He didn't hold grudges, instead, he tried to show off a smile which I replied with a fierce look.

We went home, and when we got to the front of the house I saw Aunt Chelsea's car parked in the trunk. Maybe today he came home early. I paused for a moment, thinking about introducing Liam to Aunt Chelsea to strengthen their friendship because Aunt Chelsea seems to like this man.

I entered the house with Liam. Aunt Chelsea seemed to be sitting on the sofa and reading a magazine. Hearing my footsteps, as usual, he stopped what he was doing and hugged me.

"Are you home? he asked, letting go of the hug.

"Yes."

"And who is this person behind you? Hmmm.... Auntie remember. was he the one you kicked out when you came here that night?" Aunt Chelsea gave the house a very welcoming look.

"Auntie didn't forget, okay? He did come here. Hi, this is my school friend Liam. I coded for Liam to lend a hand.

"Liam...."

"Just call Aunt Chelsea, nice to meet you, Liam." Aunt Chelsea welcomed Liam's outstretched hand with open arms.

After chatting for a while, I asked something, Auntie, can I talk about something important?

"Yes, Alea?"

"Starting tomorrow, Mr. Abu doesn't have to pick me up anymore." I was a little nervous.

"Why, dear?"

"I just want to reduce the burden, because now I have a replacement for Abu, namely Liam." I glanced at Liam who nodded in agreement.

Aunt Chelsea's eyes want to immediately leave their place. He seemed to be contemplating whether to accept it or not.

"The thing Auntie is always afraid of is that when you make friends with the wrong people, Chelsea will take you wherever you go, especially if you don't know them well."

"But I'm sure Liam is a good person," I reassured.

"Okay then. The important thing is that you can take care of yourself."

I'm relieved to hear that. I can guess the first thing Aunt Chelsea agreed was when a few days ago Liam came here in the evening out of the blue and was polite and showing hospitality. Second, that night when he took me home from the night market to the front of the house, it did not pass the maximum time limit that convinced Aunt Chelsea to agree to my request.

Next day, I came early to school. My hair is a little messy due to the gust of wind colliding with Liam's motorbike. Early in the morning, Liam came home, dressed in a cool suit to pick me up as promised. We arrived at school and many eyes were looking at me with disapproval. We don't care.

"Hey, Alea! How are you today?" one of the men on my left spoke up.

"Well," I answered simply.

"We heard Liam's terrible announcement yesterday in the cafeteria. Waoo... You have a new tool that you can use again."

"That's his request, not mine," I said firmly.

"Today you have to treat us at the canteen as a form of happiness for what happened yesterday." They pleaded in unison. I thought for a moment.

"Since today I'm being kind, I'll treat you guys." I smiled sarcastically.

Liam was standing in front of the door, smiling. I'm sure he will invite me to eat together in the cafeteria.
