Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: battle and the act

My sleep was peaceful no dreams or anything I woke up it was dark as hell I slowly moved my arms away from Layla who was still cuddling with Daisy I pulled on my shoes and shirt standing up buttoning up my shirt I grabbed my belt putting it on as I was walking out of the tent I grabbed my hat and satchel also I grabbed my Henry Repeating rifle this was my spare rifle I walked out of the tent tying the flaps behind me I looked over to Slades tent and seen him walking out from it to he seen me and silently we walked towards the woods I turned and looked at him when we were far enough away from the camp I throw him the Henry repeating rifle he cot it surprised you will need that seeing how you didn't pick up any other rifles that night and seeing that you broke yours this is my gift to you daggers but as my daggers hit his weapons I pushed down overpowering him pushing him back but he tripped on a stick he fell on his ass but I didn't let him get up I stomped my foot down Slade rolled away this training session want on for 2 hours Slade could not land a single hit on me buy I definitely hit him Slade wasn't breathing but I could tell he was getting tired I smiled putting away my to see everyone was grabbing their weapons running out of their tents and a trumpet sounded out three times shit I said as Slade and I ran into the camp I got to my tent to see Layla standing in front of it she had her weapons on her and she was tapping her foot impatiently but when she saw us running up the side saying well you're here Bill is looking for you Slade when he heard that his face went white running off to Bills tent I looked over to Layla asking what's happening Layla side saying we got orders to attack with the main force get your shit I nodded and ran into the tent grabbing my rifle and grabbed enough ammo and hardtack I had feeling it was going to be a long day I walked out of my tent the same time Bill did he looked over to us and nodded we followed him so did the others we walked through the woods heading west no one talked we just marched behind Bill time passed and we got to that hill that looked down at the battlefield but the sound of combat was much closer Bill turned to us saying our mission is to hold these fuckers off long enough so the man force can retreat when they are gone we will stop fighting head on and switch to grilla combat efix your bayonets almost everyone did except for Layla, I and Slade the rest put there bayonets on their rifles when Bill seen we was ready he looked over to Slade who had a trumpet he lifted it to his mouth and sounded out the tune to charge Bill pulled out his saber yelling charge as he ran forward we followed him running over this hill when I seen the battlefield I saw death and lots of it the rebels were getting slaughtered and pushed back the Union was not holding back when Slade sounded the trumpet the union looked up the hill angrily as for the rebels the cheered I looked over to Layla saying stay close and try not to use your powers unless you need to or if you think people wont notice she smiled and nodded pulling her shotgun off her back Daisy watch are backs I said as I ran down the hill about to clashes with the union we charged forward I slung my rifle over my shoulder as I pulled out my two pistols I also pulled up my bandana which was around my neck and over my face when I did this is when we crashed into the battle I elbowed a union soldier out of my way as I raced my colt navy pulling back the hammer and boom a hole want into someone's throat I stomped down at the soldier that I elbowed on his neck but he cot my foot throwing my off but I just left him for Daisy I looked back up to see two man aiming there rifles at me and boom boom there rifles want off in their hands I used my available detection my eyes starting to glow green as I simple moved out of the bullets way at the same time I razed my repeating pistol and boom boom boom killing them but it wasn't enough cuz when I killed someone another person took there place I put away my colt as I pulled out one of my curved daggers as three-man charged at me two of them with bayonets and the other with a saber I leaned back the two bayonets flying over my head my body then moved on naturally twisting up swinging my dagger cutting one mans throat as I was sitting up between these bayonets I then used the other man as a shield so the saber man didn't swing at me in case he would hit his friend I moved around this human shield cutting his neck as I did the saber man glared at me seeing that I ignored him he took two steps razing his saber but then Boom he got blown off his feet from a point blank shotgun blast to the chest from Layla who quickly reloaded her shot gun wall Daisy and I cover her someone charged at Layla a axe over his head he was screaming as he charged forward but Daisy ran in front of Layla and lunged at this man taking him to the ground Daisy jerked his head up as he did that man's throat want with Daisy someone tried to stab down at him but I swung and cut the axe handle off and I slamed my body into this man pushing him back this man stumbled back and looked down to what is a stick know he through it to the ground charging at me with his hands he was screaming you bastard I will kill you he throw a punch at me but all I did was deflected it with my pistol hand and with my other I thrust up into his arm pit but I didn't stop there I stabbed him three more times as he slumped to the ground dead I felt something behind be I didn't even look as I swung behind be cutting a bullet in half the two pieces flow past me and hit whoever in front of me and like that wasn't spooky enough with my other hand I pointed my pistol behind me pulling the trigger I didn't need to see what happened cuz I sensed a pistol hit the ground behind me with a belt buckle that man was dead I leaned forward and rolling over my was Layla her shotgun glowing holes in people at this point the battle had already gone on for 9 minutes and there was no rest I cut and shot my way through this army with Layla and Daisy by my side then I sensed three people I could tell they was commanders cuz of what there sabers was made from plus I didn't sense a rifle on them just a pistol I looked around and seen them two of them were commanding over the army as for the other one he was commanding the cannons I looked behind me to see Slade fighting his way to us Zoltan and Zigrin at his side all three of them had scratches and cuts but they was fighting on Slade seen me and was about to wave but then he stopped I'm self I shook my head and pointed in front of him pointing out one of the commanders Slade looked where I was pointing and see the commander he looked back to me but I was already moving again this time I didn't have any gun in my hand I had my two daggers in my hands as I charged forward cutting my way to the commander at the cannons wall Layla and Daisy moved to the other a soldier ran in front of me trusting his bayonets at me but I didn't even look at him but my body on the other hand blocked the bayonet and with three fast swings I cut this solders gun apart like paper and when I close to him I simple swung my dagger to the side cutting his head off this didn't stop my momentum as I moved forward two more soldiers tried to block my way and two more are dead the commander finally seen me but he simple smiled evilly and gave an order which I couldn't hear but I could guess what it was cuz two of the cannons where turned to me they took aim and when they were ready the commander yelled fire and thoom them two cannon balls where flying at me I smiled that made my bandana slide off my face and what these man seen was a single man charging them with glowing green eyes with the biggest smile on his face I flipped one of my daggers around and jumped stabbing down right when I did that I hit a cannon ball which was deflected to the ground do to my strike as for me I used this cannon ball to throw me in the air I started to do flips and when I was about to hit the ground I spun around my daggers swinging I landed on one knee my daggers where in front of me and there was fresh blood dripping off it and behind me this commander's head arm and leg were cut off his head hit the ground his last thought written on his face was a mix of shock and disbelief I stood up slowly I looked over these cannoneers that crazy grin still on my face my eyes glowing with intense green fire and in this fire you could see screaming souls but mixed with the blood all over my face it definitely made me look like some sort of demon many of these soldiers reached for a weapon know boys we can be civilized about this I said smiling tilting my head to the side one of them yelled out in a shaky voice who are you and what are you I chuckled and I rested one hand on my hip and with the other I tipped my hat saying well my name is Hunter Nekros as for what I am I guess you could say I am death or at least a piece of it at least what about ya but then I heard a trumpet I side saying sorry boys but that's my queue have a nice day I tipped my hat again and turned around and started to walk away but when I walked passed this commander his saber was resting next to him shining from the sunlight I used my foot to throw up the blade I cot it smiling not cuz of the saner but from the sound of many guns getting primed I glanced back saying know boys lower their weapons and I promise you will live but it any of you pull that trigger you all are dead when these soldiers heard my words many of them started to shake when they looked into my eyes but I seen one man gulp and scream out for the commander and he pulled the trigger I side disappearing into the shadows I reappeared behind Layla who was running back to the woods I swung down the saber cutting a mans arm off and with my other hand his throat got cut as I flipped around him running next to get I looked over to Layla to see she had a saber on her belt I was about to say something when BOOM from the cannons but they didn't shoot anything but they did blow up throw metal everywhere but then boom this got metal hit some black powder on soldiers around the cannons blowing lems off Layla looked over to me as she pulled the trigger on her shotgun glowing a head off so was that your doing dear I shrugged laughing indeed I warned them but one person blow it for all of them so I blow them up Layla laughed as we ran up the hill the union soldiers chasing after us I tucked the saber under my belt as I turned around pulling out my colt navy the gold designs on it started to glow as I started to fan Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom boom with every drop of the hammer a small black spike shot out of my colt when this spike hit someone it drilled through them like a bullet hitting whoever was behind them with I spun my colt and holstered it saying I will be your huckleberry but Layla grabbed my hand pulling me with her saying no you don't we got orders follow them I side saying yes dear wife Layla glared at me but we ran into the woods the sun casting shadows down I seen Slade, Zoltan and Zigrin all three of them was ahead of us but on Zoltans hip was another saber Bill was running next to them I grabbed Layla saying Daisy go fun speed as I shadow walked next to Bill saying what is the plan sir he jumped seeing us appear he glared at us saying damn it Nekros you almost have me a heart attack the plan is to get to the creek and when they are crossing we light up there world as they are recovering we drop camp and do guerilla tactics for the rest of the war or in tell I get different orders which I dought sense we will be in the thick of it so get ready for a tuff few months but then it happened boom a bullet came from behind us ant hit Wild Bill in the chest he dropped to the ground yelling I stopped to grab him but then boom boom boom boom boom boom I sensed 6 bullets flying at us shit I yelled pulling out my dagger which turned into a sickle sword as I was swing my sword cutting 3 bullets in half protecting Layla wall Slade, Zoltan and Zigrin took cover behind a tree lem Zigrin yelled leave him Hunter he is dead but it was to late we were already surrounded 20 soldiers in circled us Layla gripping her sword on her back and Daisy both heads where gralling these soldiers lowered their weapons as the rest of the army chases after the rebels one of the soldiers said to put down your weapons or die my smile was no longer on my face but my eyes where glowing brighter than ever I glanced, Bill, who was laying face down on the ground I looked him over I seen his soul wasn't in pain and he was breathing just fine when I saw that something clicked in my head and I started to laugh Slade, Zoltan and Zigrin looked at me worriedly as for Layla she was smiling like she just noticed to Daisy was still gralling as for these soldiers they looked at me like I was crazy I took a deep breath wiping tears from y eyes saying I have never been happier to get played well done Bill and my sword turned into a dagger as I sheathed it crossing my arms smiling looking straight at Bull who still didn't move I chuckled again saying Bill you are one damn good actor tell me is our contract still going or was it just a fake I heard laughter Slade Zoltan and Zigrin looked around confused trying to find who was laughing so you saw through my little act just now did you I knew I liked you two and pushing himself up was Bill who had a huge grin on his face Zigrin yelled what the fuck ghost Slade and Zoltan had confusion written all over there faces Bill got up and walked to us the union soldiers letting him pass with ease he walked right up to me we sat there simple grinning at each other for a few moments when Bill side saying as for your question the contract is still going even though I told you it was for the rebels side but in reality it was for the union cuz you see I am a Spy I scouted you three he looked over to Slade , Zoltan, and Zigrin you three can stop acting they already know Slade side like he was relieved Zoltan saluted Bill saying as you command sir and as for Zigrin he laughed saying yes sir boss that shot was awfully close don't you think Bill shrugged saying I am fine but he looked back to Layla and I and he got serious so Hunter and Layla Nekros will you still follow the contract or but he stopped there but I seen the other soldiers tense up ready to open fire when Bill said that last part I grabbed Laylas hand looking to her asking in Greek what do you think dear Layla shrugged responding we still need money dear shore we could do other things but this is the fastest way and it's something we are good at what do you thing Daisy wolf he said wagging his tail at Bill happily I looked to Bill smiling we are in sir happy to make some money Bill laughed saying well then welcome to the union army sir and misses Nekros and he held out his hand I laughed saying sorry about them cannons as I shook his hand Bill shrugged saying you can fix them right I was a little shocked but side fix promptly not I made a fireball go off in the barrels to the point it exploded so those cannons are gone Bill glared at me letting my hand go I waited for a few second before continuing but I can probably make new cannons out of there scrap if I got the right place and tools Bill side shaking his head then we will just have to make do with what we got but I got a feeling we won't need them for much longer I nodded saying indeed the time kd open field combat is probably over but we got to watch out never underestimate you enemy especially a cornered one Bill nodded well let's go get our shit from our tents and let's head back to camp we all nodded we walked to are rebel camp it started to rain as we entered the camp what I seen would make a normal person throw up there was dead body's everywhere many of them were face down in the mud I still heard a gunshot every know and thin but then I saw a group of man most of them were dead but I seen a few was still breathing it was the group that tried to rape Layla I pulled out my colt and walked to the closest I stood next to him and boom I shot him in the head I walked to the next and did the same thing boom to the next boom to the next boom till I got to the last one he was the only one with his eyes open and it was the man that said them bad things about Layla when he seen me I crouched down the rain dripping off my hat I had no emotions on my face this man coft up blood saying y did it have to be you Nekros y are you my grim reaper when I have said so many bad things about your family y I started into his eyes not showing any emotions at all it's simple its cuz death is equal to all we all live and die it doesn't matter how we die we just do I am your death I am a fear reaper now rest this man nodded smiled and closed his eyes he was at peace I razed my pistol and bang the hammer dropped claiming another life I stood up holstering my colt and I clapping my hands and floating up from every body was a blue ball of fire I turned to Slade saying pup come here please he was shocked but walked next to me pull out that necklaces he did this is my gift to you as your older brother and I moved my hand till the blue fire touched the reckless when it did the reckless started to shake and glow gold that ball of blue fire started to get smaller and smaller till it was gone I lowered my hand saying the rest if up to you I talked down two gods for you so please don't let me down Slade was dumbfounded but quickly started to nod good I pat his head as I walked to Laylas and my tent Layla already had our stuff ready all that was left is to take down the tent and to put all of it on Fives I walked next to Layla and kissed her cheek saying you work fast Layla smiled and sat down saying yep your turn I chuckled and got to work I took down the tent and got Fives who wasn't in a talking mood I put all are shit on it when I was done I activated my valuable site and without Bill or anyone noticing me I started to loot the dead I got 70 dollars a bunch more ammo and one bag of gold that had three marble-sized gold pieces in it the last thang I found was a old morning star head it was dirty and a bit rusty I pocked it when Bill yelled out we are leaving let's move I ran back to Layla and we followed them back to there camp.
