Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: some drunk man

Layla was shocked hearing my words are you sure Hunter I nodded yes or at least a branch of them did and I must say you would most certainly recognize them man in white clothes with a white bag over there head with a red cross stitched on their chest when Layla heard that her eyes want wide don't tell me are you saying they are part of that clan I nodded it would seem so Layla held hugged me closer Gralling then we know what we must do and who to look for but it will take us to long to get back to where they are at I side I think I could shadow travel us there but I have never tried to go that fear but in the books I read it said that my shadow walk could travel through dimensions it also said the rang of my ability would grow with time it Layla nodded ok let's go I nodded and like that we got out of the rain droid are self's off and put on dry close I pulled on a leather coat I then looked to the open chest and slowly I walked over to it and there sitting at the top was my hat underneath it bundled together was my gun belt with my pistols holstered on it and laying at the bottom was my rifle I slowly reached down into this chest and pulled out my gun belt I unwrapped it and put it on then I pulled out each pistol which for some reason they was immaculately clean no dust or anything hell they shined like they was new thatd when I noticed a odd oil that was on them that smelled of iron blood huh well no matter I loaded each pistol then spun them both on my finger holstering them my daggers appearing in there normal sheaths and I must say it felt right I reached into the chest and pulled out my rifle that's when a nock came from the door Layla walked to it she had on a black like me but under that was her normal clothes black pants and shirt with a red vest and her bandana on her head Slotter was on her normal spot on her back under her coat and she had her red gun belt on and on her hands was a familiar double barrel shotgun that was stained red from blood but at the top of the chamber where the two hammers would hall was two red gems that glowed faintly like there was a small fire in them when Layla opened up the door she was greeted with the Wendigo who he had talked to quite a few times and developed a freed ship with her so much so she told us her name sadly neither Layla or I could even pronouns the first part of her name let alone the rest of it so we asked if we could simply call her Ago Layla smiled saying Ago come on in and like that Layla stepped back she nodded and stepped in saying it's really coming down out there but y are both of you armed like that what has happened Layla side but I answered we are leaving one of are friends was just murdered she nodded sounds about right well I guess this is goodbye I chuckled saying naaa this ant a goodbye its more of a see you later she laughed o you humans and your odd words I won't say I won't miss talking with you both but you have your task and I have mine Layla nodded I laughed saying is you mean by task as filling some people with lead then yes and like that I racked a round into the chamber and I slung my rifle over my shoulder I then picked up my hat dusted it off and put it on when I looked up Ago was gone and Layla was standing at the door shutting it I tied my bandana around my neck saying pack your saddle I will do mine she nodded and like that I walked into my work shop and pulled out Primes saddle which was much bigger them many saddles but it sort of had to be seeing how big she was I then waved my hand and all the stuff on the table was on I smiled looking down at the Gold wedding band that was on my finger it had a small black diamond placed in the center of twisted red and gold steal this was the gift Layla and I worked on together I made hers and which had a red diamond in the center of it with black and gold twisted steel wall I helped her through making mine best part was these rings wasn't just for looks they was storage rings the space inside of them was probably the size of a small shack Prime probably couldn't fit in it but Fives deffently could another good part was the ammo close by so I also stored that also I left behind anything I didn't need extra tools and materials I only took things I thought I might need or could us after that I walked out side which was still pouring down raining hell it was getting worse Layla walked out to me saying ready I nodded and we both whistled and Fives and Prime came running into the clearing Five stopped next to Layla bumping there head on Laylas shoulder wall Prime simple lowered her head down to me I smiled petting her saying sattle up and like that i said lets move but first I put Primes saddle on her I grabbed her by the rains Layla did the same to Fives then he held out her hand to me saying try and not kill us please dear I smiled no promises and like that I grabbed her hand I then closed my eyes thinking about outside of Zoltan house imagining the area I wanted to travel to when I could do that I then opened my eyes activating my ability as I stepped into the shadows dragging Fives, Prime and Layla with me one I felt my body moving through a cold pool of water but it didn't last long maybe a few seconds till my feet hit solid ground I looked around the first thing I noticed was the rain the second was the still smoking house in front of us Layla side next to me saying damn it I really hoped you was wrong Hunter I side stepping forward as I pulled on my gloves so did I Layla so did I and silently we walked to the back door I cleared of some ruble and there underneath the still smoking wood was the burnt body of Zoltan I crouched down saying hello old friend I guess you was waiting for me huh and like that I lowered my hand and touched two fingers to his head when I did a green light started to glow from the tips of my fingers and a bright blue lite started to glow inside of his skull I slowly raised my hand and moving out from his body was a bright blue flame as this flame moved out its body burst into blue flames I ran my other hand through it as I did it was cold to the touch and I felt anger then sadness the last thing I felt was happiness I side you are one stubborn bastard you know that and for that this son of death will gift you this chance to say goodbye I felt even more happiness and pride I looked to Layla saying say your peace before I send him off Layla nodded and walked next to me saying don't worry Zoltan we will get the fuckers who did this to you we will burn them all down they forfeited there life's the second they got here they ow us blood and we plan on collecting and we promise we will make sure they won't be able to get to your wife and child now go and rest my friend you have earned your peace the fire ball started to dance crazily and it got a bit brighter from her words I nodded turning around in the detection where I seen his wife want I looked down to him my eyes glowing green saying goodbye my friend now go to them and like that I ran and throw this ball of fire as far as I could in the air and just like a bullet ones it was in the air it shot in one direction as fast as light Layla Pat my arm saying we got work to do I nodded Daisy, Duke come on out you called master and like that they emerged from my shadow Duke was her normal size the only difference was her fangs had frown so even she wasn't in her big form her fangs stuck out from her mouth as for Daisy he had gotten big sense the war where he ate many souls he was about the size of a black bear maybe a bit bigger woof he said as one of his heads stuck out his tongue panting yes I did do either of you smell anyone Duke and Daisy quickly started sniffing around the areas I looked to where there was dead body's but they was gone hell there wasn't even any weapons on the floor just spent casings from rifles sad part was even the blood was being washed away but not the tracks but it didn't take long for Daisy to bark happily woof woof and he pointed off in a direction Duke ran over sniffing I ran to Prime yelling he says the sent is fresh Layla quickly got on Fives and like that we followed Duke and Daisy we ran for about 30 to 40 minutes till I seen the signs of light off in the distance a town how fun Duke back in shadow I said she nodded and jumped back into my shadow wall Daisy kept on running we got to the outskirts of town that's when we slowed down it was probably almost 1 to 3 in the morning but the town was lively from early raisers to the late nighters I heard the sound of music coming from a tavern but I was quickly stopped by a man waving us down outside of the sheriff's office we slowed down in front of him the rain still coming down he looked us over and us him the man had on Brown pants and a white under shirt and a black best he was probably in his late 30s he had a nice black pointy mustache and a brown hat he had a gun belt on that had one fine colt single action in it ivory handles and silver plating but what was odd was on his face was a set of black glasses I could see his eyes through them but y the hell was he wearing tented glasses in the dark but what ever and on his chest was the silver star that is when he spat before saying now I don't meant to be round but what's got yall in such a hurry and what's with that dog I rolled my eyes saying Sir are business is are own it is none of your concern he smiled a odd smile now listen here laddy he spat again you don't get to tell me what is or isn't my concern in my own town especially sense your the second odd group to ride into town tonight when I heard that my eyes want cold but my voice stayed normal you say we are the second group you say who was the first he laughed yea about a hour ago I heard distant gunshots soon after that the ran came and a group of 20 rid they all looked normal but on there saddles I seen a whole lot of crosses plus most of them had a sword or axe on them they want to the tavern up the road the odd part was I seen a odd white mask hanging out from one of there bags there have been roomiers traveling through the West of people in white hunting down people hell there is even a bounty on there head Hi Hi where your going I smiled looking back to him saying to collect a debt he yelled wait and he ran into his office and he came back out he had on a brown leather coat and in his hands was a lever action rifle he racked a round before crossing the street to where the tavern was Layla and I hitch are horses or acted like we did anyway out side the place I walked to one of the other horses and started looking through the saddle bags and easily found a white mask and a white shirt that had a red cross in the center of it I turned around showing Layla and the sheriff saying well you wasn't laying after all Sir it would seem they are here and I crouched down and held out the cloths to Daisy who started to sniff them the sheriff asked so they are part of that group huh but y here and y are you two looking for them and where did you come from Layla looked to him saying where we came from doesn't matter as for y here it is simple they came to kill a man called Zoltan fleetfooot who lived outside of town the sheriff was shocked Zoltan is dead he asked Layla nodded we just came back from his burnt house only found his body and not his wife it would seem she got away he side damn it hold on how do you two know Zoltan I stood up saying we fought together in the war my name is Hunter Nekros that is Layla Nekros when the sheriff heard are names his mouth dropped open the death Walker and Blood devil o fuck me he mumbled I smiled looking at this man again saying so you have heard of us so you was in the war also if I had to guess you was a rebel right he side nodding indeed I was does that matter I shrugged to us not really the war is over but enough talking time to brake heads and like that Layla and I walked through the doors and ahead of us was Daisy who had his nose to the ground sniffing the sheriff soon followed after us and I must say this place was packed there was good music good booze and even hot lady's of the night that winked and posed seductively no one really noticed us walk in well in tell Daisy started walking in one direction bumbling into tables and people alike not caring what happened so of course some load noises of protest came from this but Daisy didn't care he kept on walking till he got to one table in the cover that had 5 people sitting at it Daisy walked right up to it and gralled one of the man lowered there glass saying fuck off mut and he tried to kick Daisy but he missed the man cursed angrily yow who's fucking mut is this one of the other man yelled I heard that as I was hanging my dripping wet cot On a coat rack I turned around and stepped forward saying he is mine and I walked next to Daisy and Pat his head he waggled his tail as I Pat him one of the man spat boy get this damn dog away from us I shrugged saying sorry that won't be happening cuz you see Daisy here is great at smelling blood and it would seem your group stinks of it when I said that the music stopped and everyone looked to us moving away from us the first man stood up and walked in front of me he glared at me saying boy if I was you I would mind your own fucking business before you get hurt I smiled and took off my hat placing it on one of Daisy heads and I came up to my full height and looked down at this man saying no you listen up boy I do not care for your manners didn't your parents teach you respect besides ant you looking for me laddys huh you just got done killing one of my mates by the name Zoltan Fleetfoot when I said this the other man stood up and I also heard a few others stand up also the mans face go dark saying what is your name brat I laughed you know my name don't play dumb the man snarled Hunter Nekros that's right big boy who's your daddy teased with a mocking grin that is when I smelled it fear it came from this man and the rest of them I laughed evilly you smell that Daisy woof he said I nodded that's right it's fear it would seem they have heard of me hehe how fun but sadly for them I ant in a good mood tell me lads did you truly expect to get away with killing one of my comrades huh tell me and at that point my smiling mocking smile was gone and was replaced it was a cold expressionless face I seen anger confusion on there faces I side how about this if you tell me who told you to do this and where the others are I promise I will show them mercy but none of them said a word I side and a huge demonic smiling spread across my face I am seeing you all are choosing the easier way ok and I simple took a cup off from one of the tables close by I downed the beer inside of it I smacked my lips saying that hits the slot I whipped my mouth and before anyone could react I swung this glass mug shattering it across the man in front of me face his head got jurked to the side and he head the ground nocked out I throw the handle out of my hands and looked up to the others saying well pitter patter lets get at her right when I said that all hell broke loose I heard gunshots going off and tables being flipped people screaming taking cover I Seen the sheriff shoot two man in the chest before taking cover behind a flipped over table wall Layla was at the stairs I seen two man run to the top of the stairs holding weapons when they heard there friends yelling but Layla pulled the trigger and one got blown off there feet with a huge hole in his chest wall the other got anything from there neck up was gone his body did a backflip as for me I was slowly moving to this table as I was moving I pulled a cigar out and lit it as bullets was flying passed me but they was just missing my body as I was doing this I seen Daisy jump onto one man literally tarring him in half so to the two heads grabbing one lem and pulling I got to this flipped over table that's when one man stood up to shoot but before he could get off a shot I grabbed him dragging him over the table I then kicked a bottle at another man who stood up to help his friend the bottle shattered when it hit his face I then looked to the man I had in my hand and I started beating the ever loving shit out from him I kicked , punched , kneed and even headbutt him to the point his face was a bloody caved in mess I dropped him and leaned back as I did two bullets flew over my face missing me by a hears breath as I was leaning back without looking I pulled off one of my daggers and flung it I glanced over to see it sink into a mans head he hit the floor I stood back up dusting my self off as one man charged at me with a knife he thrust it at my chest yelling die you fucker but I simple moved to the side grabbed his wrist and redirected the dagger back into his chest he coofed up blood saying fucking monster thump he hit the floor boy you have no idea I said as I walked over to where my dagger was and I pulled it out and cleaned it off on his clothes I looked up to see there was no more enemies I looked over to Layla asking 15 in what 2 minutes Layla shook her said I cont 20 and 1 minutes and 50 seconds I shrugged y dont we call it 20 and 2 minutes then she nodded sounds good it would seem we are still as fast as before maybe a bit faster I nodded at her words I looked up to the bartender asking is this your place he nodded fearfully I nodded ok take all these mans horses and gear I am sure you will get enough to repair the place we will just take the melee weapons he nodded quickly good have a good day Daisy can you please grab little friend on the floor woof he said nodded very quickly Layla and I collected up the melee weapons and as I thought many of them was made from Silver or celestial bronze none was magical sadly but still good materials and like that I grabbed my coat and my hat as we walked out Daisy dragging the unconscious man behind him the sheriff want back to his office wall we want away from the town.
