It's almost 4 am in the morning and I'm currently monitoring everyone that I know using the Book of Life.
Ravir who I met yesterday fell asleep the whole day yesterday and haven't woke up yet.
I don't know if it's normal for humans to sleep that long, but I guess he's just too tired after that long journey.
I can't help but facepalm myself when I forgot about my parents tailing me behind and it was just earlier when my father met Amelia did I remember.
Amelia who was woken up by a commotion when it was still 2 am in the morning hurriedly went out of her room only to realize that father came for her.
Amelia then used her title as a Saintess to stay in the West Border and even sold me out so my father will finally leave her alone.
She said that she can use her power of nature to track me down so father can catch me after the sun went up.
Along with the Azrael knights father is already occupying the whole town to look for me.
The good thing is, even though Amelia already knew where I am right now, she did not specifically told father where I am and only said that I'm in this town.
Though with that simple information father already know that he can track me down by finding an inn that has new visitors in them.
So if I stay still in my place there is a chance that he will capture me.
I closed the book and thought very deeply on how can I convince my father to let me stay with Amelia.
Should I give him one of my artifacts in exchange? After all bribery can solve many problems in life.
I used to bribe my maids so that they won't tell my parents about the foods I forgot to eat and it worked.
Well if it's the artifacts I own... then there's [Witches' Amulet] [Disguise Mask] [Stone Tabl---]
"Ah, Right..." I mumbled.
I facepalmed myself when I remembered that I left the Stone Tablet back home.
I made it for the labyrinth but my clumsiness made me grab a book and my servant pen in a hurry.
Should I go back home and retrieve it?
Ugh, just thinking about it makes me feel tired mentally.
I took out my Book of Art and made my first beast.
Before I was born there were already witches in another world, and all informations about them are given to me before I was born.
Of course witches in each world are different from each other.
For example for them there's no progenitor who is the beginning of their species, because witches in another world used to be humans that only succumbed to black magic.
There's also witches who became witches because they received hatred from other people and can only live if there's hatred coming their way.
Or witches that was born from a dungeon because they were considered as a monster with human form.
My point is that despite our differences on how we became witches there's still two things that we have in common and that is the power of curses and the power to call out a familiar.
As a witch I can't miss out on that, so what I'm going to do right now is make my own familiar.
I'll make it to retireve the Stone Tablet for me.
With Stone Tablet on my side I can convince my father to let me stay here, after all its existence will be necessary for the exploration inside the labyrinth.
The problem is that how can I explain where I got it from?
Or should I even use the Stone Tablet to convince father?
What are the other options for me here?
Ah! What if I tell my father that if he won't let me stay in the west border during the war then I will forever leave the mansion and hide from him?
It's childish but for sure it will for sure work.
If not that then, I will marry an old man who's older than him if he won't let me stay.
I smirked just thinking about my father's grim expression.
Am I being stubborn perhaps? I don't even know why I'm insisting on staying here.
While I'm thinking deeply for a while I then heard a knock from the door so I immediately called back the Book of Art and went up to open the door.
The one in front of the door is Ravir who just woke up and hurriedly washed his face.
"What time is it?" he asked in a panic.
I looked at him for awhile contemplating if I should answer him honestly.
It's still dark outside so there's a chance that he's thinking it's night time and not morning.
I sighed and shook off any of the fun thoughts I had in mind and simply told him the truth.
"Seriously it's already 4 am, you slept for at least 20 hours" I said as I looked at him.
I'm wearing my mask so he doesn't know what my expression is like.
After hearing what I said he then looked at me in shock.
"You must be really hungry right now. Too bad it's still early in the morning so you have to wait for later to have breakfast" I said not minding that he's still frozen in place after what he heard from me.
His face then looked at ease while shaking his head. The information seemed to sink in and he looked like he immediately believe me.
"Sorry, even though you said we should eat together at lunch" he said feeling guilty for no reason.
"No need to feel sorry, I've already eaten" I lied and reassured him.
"By the way---" I was about to tell him about a commotion that will happen later when suddenly that commotion I'm talking about interrupted me.
Father's knights are already inside the inn, causing the innkeepers or inn owners to wake up as well.
"Is there a woman who has black hair and wearing a mask who's staying here?" one of the knights asked and his voice can be heard from here.
Ravir looked at me when he heard what the knight said.
"Yes, there is. She's currently sleeping in room 3 on the second floor" the innkeeper said.
The knights who heard that bightened and said their thanks to the innkeeper.
He then asked for permission to go up in the second floor.
"I apologize for causing a commotion but we're here to get the miss back home so we'll be intruding for now" the knight said and bowed at the innkeeper.
"Oh don't worry knight. But please make sure to keep it down for the others" the innkeeper reminded.
"Yes" the knight said and turned around to order the knights to stay behind and cover my escape route as he goes up to fetch me.
When he went up he was surprised to see me already awake and only waiting for him.
"Y-Young miss!" he exclaimed in surprise.
"I'll meet father right now myself so show me the way" I said and looked at Ravir.
He looked puzzled on why I'm urging him to follow me but in the end he did without questioning anything.
The knights who looked at Ravir looked confused on why he's with me but since I'm walking beside him and sticking like glue, they had no choice but to let him be.
I can't say that I know that Ravir wants to meet his brother so I'll just act like I want him to be with me right now.
Soon the knights led us to a carriage and Ravir who hesitated to ride it at first had no choice but to follow anyway beauce of my urging.
The carriage was a short ride and we reached the West Border Fortress where everyone is currently in.
Ravir who did not know where we're heading looked a little nervous throughout the whole ride.
Only when we're inside the Fortress where some people who has the uniform of the West Border soldier appeared did he guessed that we're in the place he's aiming to reach.
Ravir who used to be a little worried and nervous are now more nervous for a different reason which is meeting his brother.
