Nate had a reason why he had chosen to send Peter to go for the rat creature that was standing before them.
One was that Peter was the one lacking the most among himself. Though he clearly knew that at that level, Peter was as good as useless in the upcoming fight just from the structure of the beast, Nate knew that this would be tougher than the blood dog.
But none of this was the reason Nate had sent Peter to go for the altar human.
Nate wants Peter to at least deliver a strong blow on the creature first then he could now talk about joining.
Though Nate knew that this was a risk that he was putting Peter as a zombie life into. But he still has to care for his brother.
Though it might sound funny that Nate was caring for Peter by sending him to his death. But the truth is that Nate has a certain reason for that.
If Peter manages to deliver a strong blow on the creature, Nate knows that whatever the system has for him as a reward for killing or for surviving the fight would be shared between him and Peter.
So basically, with that thought in mind, Nate did not hesitate to give out the command.
Just the command alone was what Peter needed for him to run towards the altar human.
While running, a cloud of mist starts to appear on his hand. Reaching about a few inches away from the human rat Peter swung the ax at the center head of the rat.
Peter's attributes have been increased after the fight with both 'Kai and the blood dog', so at this moment, he is a lot faster than how he was before that's even why he was able to move at a fast pace that the rat did not notice him till he was too close for the rat to strike.
But right before the ax could come in contact with the rat, a sharp short sword-sized claw blocked the ax.
On the other hand, the rat used one of his free hands to try to grab Peter but right before it could reach him, Peter jumped backwards just in time before the claws passed him just by a near miss.
Watch this from the other side Nate who was on his own worried and ready to join the fight at any time.
The moment Peters's foot touched the ground, he kicked it again, going directly at the rat.
This time though, while on the way, he could not stop swinging the ax, gathering more momentum in his hand to strike the rat.
"Ah!"
The rat let out a sound that was meant to be a roar, before recoiling his body to swing the tail behind it at Peter.
Still in the air though, Peter knew that he would not be able to evade on time, instead, he swung the ax at the flying tail...
"Band!!!"
This was not what Nate was expecting.
Peter was sent flying backwards with his ax still in his hand. while the tail kept on moving forward directly at Nate.
It was a surprise to Nate that for some reason, the tail had grown long enough to reach him.
Nate has to summon his sword from his inventory, in the nick of time.
The tail slammed into the sword and bent it into an omega sign, while Nate was pushed back slightly.
'This was just as useless as you were' Nate shouted in his mind while a picture of who he was talking to appeared in his interface, but he shook his head to shake it off.
Meanwhile, Peter had twisted his body sideways to land on the ground safely though he staggered backwards a little.
Not even wasting any time, Peter dashed out towards the rat again.
To be honest, Nate was amazed at how accurate Peter was becoming in a fight like this, one he had never given the other opponent any time to gather his thoughts on what to do before he appeared in front of them.
'Just one level up had made him this strong '
What amazed Nate the most was that the system confirmed that Peter was unharmed even after facing such a strike.
Then there were also other things that Nate had two theories that might be the case.
One was that he thought this might be because of the rise in his intelligence attribute...
This might also be because of a lack of knowledge, and this might have made Peter go into crazy fury mode.
But what was more confusing was that Peter had been using some backflip that was clear no Lowe-minded zombie could attain such a fate.
Peter had chased after the rat, while the rat had tried pulling its tail back, but it was strongly held by Nate.
Nate was hoping that Peter would take advantage of this moment but he couldn't have been wrong.
The rat knew that he was no match for Nate in teams of strength, but they were still something he was good at.
Stamping its foot on the ground, the rat suddenly dashes out of Nate's hand.
Not like he successfully escaped, he still had something to pay.
The rat's tail was ripped off its body, but the rat had run into the distance, away from both Peter and Nate.
Peter had stopped on his track though and wasted no time in changing his direction towards that of the rat.
While running, towards the rat mindlessly, Nate was behind and saw what the rat did next.
Raising its middle finger while pointing it at Peter, who most likely was the nearest person to him, the long fingernails shut out from the paws of the rat, heading directly to Peter.
Peter swung the ax a few times, knocking the first few claws to the side.
While doing so, there was a particular one heading for a vital spot on Peter's body.
Nate had seen all this starting from the moment the rat pointed out its middle fingers at Peter and he knew what was coming.
Summoning the short knives, Nate was preparing to throw them out when he saw Peter turning his ax right in front of him, to block the spike, but this made him leave another part of his body defenseless.
A spice had successfully hit Peter on his arm, just a few inches away from his shoulder.
But the latter was not bothered, as he never stopped for a second, instead, he changed the ax into the other hand and continued going after the rat.
Reaching a few meters away from the zombie, Peter did not cover the rest of the journey by foot, he leapt into the sky, twisting his body like a javelin spear.
Before the rat could do anything further, the ax hit its head along with Peter's body.
This caused a flip of dust to rise and spread over five meters away.
Nate had to check his system a few more times to be sure that Peter was okay.
Just then, he heard footsteps within the area that was covered with dust.
Before he could do anything, he saw a familiar figure that was sent flying over him.
"Peter!"
Nate was surprised to see Peter, not just because the latter was sent flying, but because the latter had a missing hand.
Right now, Peter currently has one hand with the other nowhere to be seen as blood pump-out from the left shoulder of Peter.
Yet, this did not hinder Peter from still going after the rat.
"Okay enough..this is not your skills, playing here, it is just your zombie madness" Nate declared as he sent a command to Peter.
[Retreat key]
"I will be taking it from here"
Nate thought as he clenched the knives.
"Here I am with you aging"
Nate waited for the rat to show up.
Shortly after, what he was waiting for finally showed up, but what Nate saw left him speechless. It was not a zombie right now and then the nature of a zombie was playing in his life now, he would have wet his pants with pee.
"Why is it different now?" Nate took his breath.
