Chapter 27 - A direct hit from a Meteorite.

If one should say that Nate was not understanding anything Lyon was saying that person was to be considered the most trustworthy person ever.

But even at that, Lyon had broken down the whole thing in a way that made him able to grab a few things out of it.

Such as the fact that Lyon was a commoner before the apocalypse broke out and changed the human system.

He also learned that he had no capacity to do anything and was crippled, with him having only the three animals that he just listed with him on the earth.

Porcupine, a home pet mouse, with a rabbit that he claimed was her sister's own.

Where was her sister now, Nate did not know and did not care to ask, after all, it was none of his business at this moment.

As for how Lion became a superhuman, Nate was told according to what Lyon said.

It all happened on the same day when the chaos broke out, with many zombies now roaming around the world. Some people were running to their different homes and it happened that Lyon, who could not do anything because of his health conditions, had decided to beg on the street.

As usual, he was ignored by the people running, leaving him and his pet in one place for the zombies to feed on.

On that day, Lyon stated how many people had done all sorts of things just to run away from the zombies.

Many had thrown away their babies while fleeing, some even had to place someone to be a slowdown for the zombies.

At one point Nate could only look at Peter and wonder if he could have been such a person to him.

Even though this was happening to him, Lyon still clawed to a certain extent his stamina could carry him, till he gave up and lay on the floor with his pets lying just beside him, while looking at the zombies that were fast approaching him.

Lyon and his pets have a strong bond with them, and the pet decides to stay with him even at his last moment.

But at that moment he saw some different lights falling from the sky,  but that was not the case because he could also see a particular light heading towards him.

Lyon thought it was not heading for him till it definitely landed on his body, sending shock waves around the surrounding area.

When next Lyon opened his eyes, they were no longer his pets, and to top it all, the zombies were not even acting in his presence. And they were the ones that shocked him the most.

"I can walk!"

Nate was surprised that someone was able to survive such a thing, a direct hit from meteorites.

This also made things more sensible to Nate regarding how Lyon had become an 'altar human being'.

"That meteorite had mixed your Deoxyribonucleic acids of those animals with your granting you the power to alternate into their half form," Nate explained, Meanwhile, Lyon was looking at him like he was an alien.

"I didn't do much in school to know the meaning of that," Lyon said looking down.

"Neither do I, not as if  I didn't go to school, it's just that I didn't take it seriously anyway...but that is not the case here"

"To make it more understandable to you, the life force of those animals has been mixed with yours" Nate stated.

"And is that a good thing?" Asked Lyon but he soon shook his head and said.

"Why am I even worried, just kill me already!"  Lyon was almost shouting.

"No"

"Wait... Why? You promised...you gave me your words" Lyon claimed as he tried breaking free from the tapes that he was strapped on.

"Do you want to die?" Nate shouted as he ached his hand upward.

"Just do it already,"  Lyon demands.

Hearing this, Nate put his hand down.

"Your tricks almost worked but I still have something to do first '' Saying that, Nate opened his mouth, and bit down on Lion's neck.

"What are you doing?" Lyon asked while gnashing his teeth in pain.

"Granting you your wish"

Meanwhile, in a light dim room, Kai was sitting among five men.

They were currently sitting on the lone five-seat dining table. He and the red-haired man were the only ones sitting with a particular man who brought him to stand.

Three were men in lab clothes with goggles. They were all holding a fail in their hands. it was obvious that they were some type of scientist-based people.

It has been a day since Kai was brought in by strangers and he has yet to know any single basic thing about the...

He was not expecting the sudden call from the.

"So what have you seen so far in the scouting reports," the red-haired man asked after a short period of silence.

"After some careful scouting, we were not able to find much about the area apart from the four footprints we saw on the soil.

One of the scientists steps forward with a folder file in his hand...

Kai became anxious, as he knew the people were the most likely to have footprints. And if somehow they were able to extract the DNA, then he is doomed, though this might also be setting him free; he still has something that he is yet to complete.

Taking the file, the red-haired man starts to go through the content on the file.

"This is disappointing, but I will give you guys more time to find out who was there after the meteorite landed".

Hearing this, Kai could not help but sigh inwardly, and almost signed out.

Hearing what the redhead man said, this only means that they have yet to extract the DNA.

One should know that Mia and his gang are currently living in Kai clone and there is a high chance that they all have his DNA, if the scientists were to get it and check it with his own, then this would implicate every plane he has.

Though they don't have his DNA now, he was sure they would demand it in the future.

"Anyway, what have you all been doing on Doctor Leo's case"

"Have you seen any movement from him?" the red-haired man asked while clicking his fingernails.

"Not at all, it seems as if he just disappeared from the surface of the earth" the scientists answered.

"Did I take you guys in all for you to just eat my food and do nothing in return, mind you whoever leaves my place must work for me we're there whether you like it or not!"

The room fell into silence as the air became hard for the scientists to breathe.

Meanwhile, Kai's heart could not stop beating like a drum.

The scientists could not stand the pressure on them; they all fell to their knees and begged.

"Please give us one more chance...we will not disappoint you this time."

The scientists pleaded with fear and with their bodies and hands shaking.

'If only Leo was still in a good team with me, then what would I be doing with such losses' the red-haired man thought in silence...

"Get yourself out of my sight before I change my mind!" He shouted out at them.

"Thank you...We will not disappoint you this time" they said before quickly exiting the room or hall to be more precise.

With them leaving, Kai was not left with the two people that by now he had labeled monsters.

"Now are you ready to tell me where you came from"
