Nate had never taken anything more seriously than he was taking the new beast right now.
The rat had changed into something else, something way bigger than what it was before.
It still maintains its rat structure, but it was something that he's changed.
Nate did not know if it was the rat bear that had grown to the size of spikes like a porcupine.
Its eye had to become redder than one might think that it was glowing.
The tail that was ripped off from the bottom of the rat had grown back into one far greater than before.
Nate could only swallow a mouth full of saliva as he looked at the look of the rat.
Regardless of whether the rat has evolved into something else, Nate knows nothing, but one thing was for sure and that was that the rat was surely stronger than before.
Nate had noticed that arm that was on the rat's mouth as he chewed on them.
Peter had lost one of his hands to the rat, but they were still something the rat had to pay for.
One was that on the left side of its eye, was a horizontal axis line that went through the center of its eye blinding its left eye.
But the line continued to go down straight to its jaws, chopping off the few teeth that ~~~~were left there.
Making sure that Peter was feasting on the flesh that was tossed to him.
Nate started spinning the wire knives in front of him, just to knock down the spikes that were sent towards him.
'Just like I expected, this rat had somehow turned into a porcupine that can shoot out the spikes on its back
Nate did not want to waste any time, but the problem was that he could not find something that could help him out in the fight.
Though he had thought of calling Peter back into the fight, he soon shook off the thought.
While swinging the wire knives, at the same time he was trying to move closer to the rat.
Grabbing one of the knives, Nate thrust out the knife at the spot where the line had gone through the rat's face.
The tail swung at Nate, this time though was not as fast as before, as Nate was able to leap upwards for the tail to pass beneath him.
Nate had easily and successfully evaded the tail but that was not the aiming of the rat.
While swinging its tail the rat had turned both his body back as they were facing Nate.
It was at this moment that Nate noticed the huge mistake he had made.
Multiple spikes were sent toward him, and though he was able to swing the wires in front of him, this time was not like the previous one; a couple of four or five spikes were sent to him.
Right now coming towards him, were over fifty spikes coming from him.
Nate had tried using the wires to knock off the spikes but there were still a few that were able to hit him in some areas of his body.
The direct back-shut spikes were a lot bigger than the ones that were sent to him before.
And right on Nate's chest was one of the spikes that were the size of a larger sword.
They were two in total, with one on Nate's chest on the spot where he was stabbed by his father, Nate did not know if this was a coincidence or something.
Another was stuck on his abdomen, while the edge came out from the back.
'Looking for what to help me in this fight and you just gave me one Nate thought with a smile on his lips.
"!!!" Letting out the usual roar, the porcupine came running after Nate.
Grabbing both the stuck spikes in his chest, Nate pulled them out while holding them like a saba in his hand...
Though they were not sharp in teams of cutting through things they had good at piercing through things.
Becoming a porcupine decreased the speed of the rat as it came close to Nate.
Holding the Spike in his hands, Nate thrust out one of the spikes like a javelin spear hit right on the porcupine's eye.
This sent the beast staggering backwards as it clashed with one of the buildings behind it.
Seeing this made Nate stop for a few moments.
'I did it, I killed6 the Same thing ' Nate thought hopefully as he waited for the system message.
But things start to change when he is yet to get any message indicating that he has completed the quest.
'Something is wrong somewhere ' Nate clenched onto the one last spike on his hand.
"Ahhhhhrrrr!"
Just then, he heard the shrinking roar sound coming out from the building.
"Just how many times do we have to kill you, the reward is better worth it"
Nate was about to jump into the house in question when he saw a shadow cast over him, as a rabbit-like beast busted out from the house sending some fragments of rocks around the area.
'And now we have I have to deal with this also'
Nate as a zombie indeed cares nothing about getting tired but he is highly intelligent and thinks things through before acting.
And right now, not being able to finish the beast off yet even after taking so many strikes the beast has kept on changing into another creature...
Starting with a rat and then to a porcupine, now I was a rabbit.
Getting ready for another struggle of life, Nate was about to run after the rabbit the moment it touched the ground but what happened when the rabbit's foot touched the ground left him in shock.
The moment the rabbit touches the ground, a hole is dug at a fast rate. The hold was the size of five human beings combined.
Before Nate could make any movement, the rabbit disappeared instantly.
"You are not getting away" Saying that out loud, Nate went after the rabbit into the hole without any hesitation.
Shortly after, an old man was thrown out from the pit hole with Nate following him.
"Please...please...please don't kill me!" The old man prided himself on his life. while his face is on the ground and his on his head.
"Just give me a reason why I should not kill you?" Nate's voice was ruthless as he asked the old man.
"Because I have no hand in the reason for fighting you, I was only trying to clear my doubts" the man replied with his hand shaking.
"Just pray that the system does not want you dead to pass my quest" saying that a few things appeared on Nate's interface.
"Thank your stars".
