Ari went out, finding Kale standing a bit far away, with his back against her.
She walked toward him, "Yes?" She asked why inclining her head cutely as she stood next to him.
He looked at her with the side of his eyes. "Sit down," he said while facing a little bench.
"Hmm?" She was confused, but she still sat down slowly.
She raised her eyes to look at him.
"Why did you have to go to this store so far from the company?"
She looked away, "I just, wanted to take a walk. Are you mad because I walked too far?" She met his eyes.
Ari didn't understand, why looking up to him like this made her feel weird. This unknown feeling she was having, while looking at this tall handsome man, she liked it.
He stood there quietly for a moment. "No, you still have your ring with you."
Ari looked over at the ring, realizing she actually forgot about it for a moment.
"You forgot," he continued.
She pushed her hair behind her ear embarrassedly, "No~ Yeah, I am sorry. How did you know where I was?"
He suddenly squatted down, "I always know where you are."
She wasn't truly able to focus on his words, because she noticed his eyes staring at her legs as he got down.
"What are you..." She was puzzled.
He didn't say a word and, with his two fingers, signaled for her to give him her right leg.
"Wha-, no, why?" She nervously asked as she pushed her legs away.
He raised his cold eyes.
'Fuck...' she thought.
She raised her leg to him, still suspicious.
He held her leg, taking off her heel and holding her cute little feet.
Ari's face turned red, she was actually so shy about this., while he was calm and composed as if it were nothing to him.
"Ah," she let out a sound as if something pained her all of a sudden.
He raised his beautiful eyes to look at her. "I am sorry," he apologized.
Her eyes suddenly fell on a little bruise on her ankle, and her skin was a little bit red caused by the heel. Her eyes widened, not knowing when this happened. How could she not feel it? Was it because of the situation just now? The adrenaline?
Kale made all of it go away with his magic.
She watched as his fingers ran on her skin, his black silky hair falling on his face. Like this, She also liked it, as he gently held her, slowly putting her heels back.
"With this, they won't hurt anymore."
She just nodded to his deep voice.
He held his hand for her to give him her other leg. She did this time without question, enjoying the view of his veiny arms and hands on her small and frail white legs.
'Was he, actually mad about this?' Ari's heartbeat pounded at the mere second of such sweet thoughts.
Kale had just finished when he felt her heartbeat beating loudly.
But she was still immersed in her thoughts. 'But if it was about this, why didn't he say so in the store, and made me walk all the way here?'
"Why, didn't you tell me about it in the store?"
He remained silent.
"Make me walk all the way here with it?"
He slowly raised his head, followed by his gray stary eyes, glowing so beautifully that almost made her lose her posture.
"If it was up to me, I would carry you all the way here."
Ari took a deep breath unconsciously as if it was getting harder for her to breathe at the moment.
"Then, why didn't you do so?" She asked, not knowing why such words escaped her mouth.
'What am I doing? Fuck!' She cursed herself, but she was still too curious to take it back.
"Because, you were stressed and anxious, especially after seeing what I did there. You flinch when I try to touch you. What do you think would happen in that situation?"
She was starstruck. 'He, was thinking this far? Was it because he showed me blood this time?' At that moment, she truly thought of how scary he can be at times. If he had approached her...
"Hmpf," she pouted, "you still made me walk with a bruised leg."
"I didn't wish to frighten you, but I apologize." He stood up and held his hand out for her, helping her stand up.
She turned her head away, acting mad, "Not forgiving you."
He stood there quietly.
she slightly turned her eyes. "Normally people say, what can I do to make it up to you."
"I am not normal."
"Oh I know," she held his hand and stood up. "I want meat for tonight's dinner," she said coldly as she walked back to the store, not waiting for his response.
Kale smirked and followed behind her.
When Ari walked to the store she found the police and two people wearing suits around Lyna.
"What's going on?" She asked as she walked up to her friend.
"It seems like, this guy is part of a gang under the Baek family."
Ari's eyes widened. "So nothing will truly happen to him, huh."
Lyna looked at her friend, whose eyes turned cold. "Yeah, but either way, it seems like he already lost his mind..."
Ari looked at Kale with the side of her eye. 'Did he know? Is that why he went this far for a robber?"
Her eyes turned to the unstable man being carried away, fighting to break away with foam in his mouth, speaking gibberish.
She looked at Kale, suddenly noticing the little smirk on his lips as he knew she understood. 'Bastard, you are good,' she thought as she chuckled.
"What about these two men?" Ari looked at the men in suits.
"These are my bodyguards. They usually stay in the shadows."
"Oh." Ari took one look at them and turned away to leave.
The police didn't even question her, knowing she was from the Soo family.
"Hold on," suddenly a female voice spoke.
A pretty woman, wearing a police uniform a bit tight on her very well-proportioned body.
"I still need to know who did this," she said.
"It was my bodyguard," faced her Ari.
"And may I know, why your bodyguard did to turn this man unto, this?"
"His magic."
The woman stood silent for a moment, before saying, "Was it necessary to go this far?"
"Yes," answered Ari coldly.
"Why?"
"None of your matters."
"Miss Soo, as much as I respect your family, this part of the city is controlled by the second son of the Baek family. And this man is his. So a thorough report is needed."
Ari sighed deeply, walking closer to the woman.
She stood before her. Her eyes were cold and menacing. "Why don't you tell him, I will report to him and that bitch son of his myself, when the time comes." She smiled evilly.
"Miss..."
"fuck off." Ari stopped smiling and growled.
She turned and walked outside with Lyna and Kale.
They all got in the car, not saying a word to each other.
Just as Kale turned on the car, Ari suddenly spoke, "If we walk into the Baek family right now, can you protect me?"
Kale's hands froze. "Do you want me to kill them?"
Ari wasn't surprised or taken aback by his answer.
"If I order you to, will you?"
His eyes fell on hers from the rearview mirror.
"It will only take a few moments." He could kill them in a matter of milliseconds without even moving from his place if he truly wished to.
"Okay," she looked over the window without saying more.
