Chapter 1 - || Where It All Began: Prologue ||

The world started with the Big Bang. Particles settled down, cooled down to form the Earth. There came water, soil, oxygen, and living, breathing creatures. Since then, the world began evolving. Every minute, every second, every moment, life on Earth began to adapt to small, and vast changes throughout. Animals grew in size, shapes, forms, and even perished after the end of an era. But every end has a new beginning. Therefore, just like life ended at one point, through the remains started a new era of life. Living creatures grew yet again, and evolved to become what we are now. The world called forward technological advancements whenever the need for it came, and humans invented various tools to aid them throughout their lives.

As such, the evolved humans started living the life that was only a dream that was once conceived by the creatures living in the past.

The human race grew far and wide, and captured the whole of Earth. They spread their wings everywhere, in every nook and cranny of the planet, showing each other how powerful humankind was. But still, not everything that we see can be the ultimate truth, right? Otherwise, there would not be the existence of oxygen, or the Milky way, or the multiverses because we have never seen them with our naked eyes. But they do exist. Similarly, right underneath the veil of what can be seen and what can not, live an array of creatures. Some are scary, and some are welcoming. These creatures are living, but they aren't humans. They breathe, but they aren't animals. They have a lifestyle, but unlike the rest of humankind, they do not spread their wings all over the planet to show their significance. These are the creatures that live in the dark. These are the creatures that roam in the darkness and live and love in the darkness- away from all human chaos and struggle. They live a life that almost seems like a fairytale, but in reality, it is not a fairytale. It is as true as the sun and moon itself, and this tale, shall take you through the journey of the same.

Hestia was the land of the great immortals. Hidden far away from the eyes of humans, far away from the chaos of city life- the creatures of the dark began inhabiting the land. Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches roamed this land- day and night- and they fought each other for supremacy. No creature is above their darkest desires, and thus, this world of darkness was no different than the world of mortal beings. It was just a smaller world within the larger world. A world that was best kept hidden, because if the secrets of Hestia came out, everything in the four dimensions would be destroyed. That was the belief of the inhabitants of Hestia. The Vampires and Werewolves- autonomous and powerful, always were at war. They wanted to take over Hestia and make the other clan their subservient. However, they were always kind to the Witches, for the Witches were the ones that healed. Without any questions, they healed. They did not see race, caste, creed, color, or clan- they only did what they were meant to do- heal the troubled souls.

Everyone fought for supremacy, and thus, to make sure there was no one- no creature spreading the word of love, they formed a pact. They called it, "The Law of Segregation". It was made to prevent the clans from mingling, and to prevent beings of superpowers- even bigger powers than the pure-bloods to be born. Everybody abided by the rules. Nobody dared to break them, so as to not face the consequences. But rules were only made to be broken. And what happened once, will happen twice. It only takes one spark to light up a fire, and then, it only spreads far and wide. And while the fire can burn down threats, it can also take down a whole forest.

The one single soul that dared to break the law had to leave the land, renounce everything and live like an ascetic. What will happen when the same happens years later? How will the past come back to haunt the present?
