It was an ordinary rainy day. I was sitting on the balcony of my house, enjoying my warm cup of coffee and 90's music. There is something special about the rainy days, the vibes, everything looks so fresh and beautiful. I love the sound of those water drops touching the roof and the soil. Isn't it romantic?
"Stop listening to music and come and help me here" my mom shouted from the kitchen. "Just a minute, Maa" I shouted more loudly. There she goes interrupting my alone time with myself. Apparently that's how we communicate while being irritated. As I was gulping down the rest of my coffee, I saw a Boy running down in the street to find a shade. He opened the gate of our neighbor's house and sat down on the porch.
"Come fast! How many times do you want me to call you?" I can sense her irritation now. "Ugh!" I ran to the kitchen to help her. As she was kneading the dough, her hand was covered in flour and she needed more water. I gave her water and ran back to my previous spot. I hope he hasn't left.
"Thank God!" I guess God is also in my favor today. He was still there. I sat again on my favorite chair and took a breath. I bent a little to put my arm on the balcony and keep my head on it. I looked down, he was still there sitting cross legged and looking at the sky. I can see his hands out from the porch trying to feel the raindrops. I inclined myself a little more towards the balcony railings to have a proper view. As I tried to get a look of him with my attempts, he looked at me.
"Shit! You dumbhead!" I slapped my forehead. I couldn't look at him properly and this stupid curiosity will be the death of me.
Again I tried my luck and finally, I had a proper view of his face. "God, he is gorgeous" that's the only words came out my stupid mouth. " Shit!" I thought he caught me so I ducked down as soon as possible. My heart was pounding as if I met a ghost. "What the hell! What is happening?" I started questioning myself in my head. Why did I do that? I tried again to see him but he was nowhere to be found. "Great" I was frustrated. I lost him. I guess he must be living somewhere around. I hope I could see him again
