Part. 27
Make a Peace with the Past
The girl who has a tall slender body with light brown hair looks so focused on her training. The faint light emitting from within her body, made Kiera look like a lil goddess. But, Kiera seemed to be unaware of her unique beauty. Kiera's eyes, which were able to amaze anyone with their color and brilliance when they were open, now looked closed. Kellen as a father, at that time thought, whether he should feel worried or happy to have a daughter like Kiera.
A happy smile seemed to have no end rising from Kellen's lips since he look at Kiera. Kiera was the perfect mix between herself and Anyeelie in the truest sense of the word. Both physically and spiritually, all the best from him and Anyeelie seemed to pour into Kiera. This makes her daughter look so different and unique.
Kellen could still feel the sensation when his fingers shook violently when touched the amulet wrapped around Kiera's right arm. An amulet with a symbol that binds the sun and moon into one unit. He didn't think that the symbol would make it real, the power of the sun and moon was bound within Kiera.
In fact, the universe seemed to give its blessing to her daughter. Even though this was the first time he and Kiera met. However, no one in the guild would be able to renounce Kiera's existence as his daughter. There was no doubt that if Kiera wanted to, she would be the first woman to become clan leader.
The ancient power of the sun clan that for thousands of ages had only been passed down to the blood of their descendant's sons, had extraordinarily flowed within Kiera. Not only that, Sword Joye that according to family legend, only once every inexplicable span of time would choose soul mate, had chosen Kiera. Keannan is clear evidence that he was dragged along with the sword's power when the sword answered Kiera's summons.
Kellen stared at his daughter with a paternal awe he couldn't hide. Kiera, his daughter is a true protector who doesn't need anyone's approval. Because clearly, that girl had been born with all the attributes as a protector chosen by the universe.
Feelings of annoyance and jealousy towards Aaegon repeatedly came to Kellen's heart whenever he remembered that his teacher had spent more time with Kiera. Aaegon has replaced his role as Kiera's parent. Meanwhile, he didn't even know anything about Kiera.

The sun hasn't fully risen yet. A ray of golden light that burst between the still dark morning sky seemed to transform into an invisible hand that pushed aside the curtain of darkness with its brilliant light.
At that same morning, Kellen and Aaegon were standing not far from the edge of the lake where Kiera was training at the Red Land for the last time. Yes, finally the three of them decided to leave for Shinny that very day.
Their calculations said that there would still be a few more days before the sun was completely swallowed up by darkness. In other words, they still had enough time to get to Shinny before the world's weakest moment arrived. Plus, after Kellen and Kiera met, there was a sense of relief that just flowed between them.
Coupled with the return of Kiera's consciousness, they finally decided not to delay their departure to Shinny any longer. Kellen, as the head of the clan, was worried about leaving Shinny too long at a time like that.
Kellen realized, the days when the power of the sun was weakened would be a critical point in Shinny, a place that was the border gate between the world and darkness. From time to time the forces of darkness may seep in to open a path and attack the souls that exist.
Kellen felt very grateful, he could feel and see that despite Kiera's innocent nature, the girl had a strong and loving personality. It was proven by Kiera's acceptance of him for granted, completely unconditional, despite the many bitter events his daughter had gone through.
That same day, Kellen decided to officially hand over the Joye Sword to Kiera. After all, it could basically be said that the sword did indeed belong to Kiera.
Now, when Kellen witnessed how Kiera trained, he could see right away that his daughter had mastered the power of the sun and moon very well. Again, Kellen felt that it was a miracle that these two powers coexisted in Kiera's body.
Kellen had heard about what happened to Adam and some of the events that were caused by powerful forces beyond Kiera's control. Kellen himself was barely able to awaken his daughter without disturbing her power.
Maybe if when Kellen woked up Kiera and the girl felt disturbed or angry, he might not be in this world anymore. Luckily, at that time Kiera immediately turned around to help him. Again, Kellen looked at his daughter with pride.
By now, the three of them were in the middle of their way to Shinny. They stopped by the White Stone for a moment to say goodbye at Anyeelie and Bianca's graves. A feeling of relief finally filled Kellen's heart, when he and Kiera bent down and prayed at Anyeelie and Bianca's graves. He was sure that Anyeelie and Bianca would also feel at ease.
Kellen felt grateful for making the decision to go straight to Kiera when he heard about his daughter. The pain and feeling of emptiness that had plagued his soul for seventeen years, now seemed to be unraveling. Only happiness remained when his eyes looked at Kiera, the jewel of his heart.
Most of the trip was filled with Kiera's questions about everything she saw that amazed her. The girl who had lived only in the White Stone and The Red Land was amazed by the suburban atmosphere which was far different from the mountains.
Meanwhile for Kellen, Kiera's tinkling voice was more interesting to his ears than any sound so he never got tired of answering all of Kiera's curiosity. Even Aaegon, who was used to hearing Kiera's voice, couldn't stop laughing when he heard the girl's laughter that sounded like music. For a moment the three of them seemed to have forgotten the terrible situation that awaited them in Shiny City.
Until nightfall, they are getting closer to Shinny. The comfortable and pleasant atmosphere that they previously felt, suddenly changed drastically. Kellen, Aaegon, and Kiera, who decided to continue their journey, felt the change in the tense atmosphere.
"Kellen, how long until we get there?" Aaegon looked up at the dark night sky that felt unusual.
"It shouldn't take less than an hour for us to arrive." Worry was clear in Kellen's voice. He felt strange about his surroundings.
Kellen felt sure they weren't lost, but he also didn't feel like he recognized where they was at the moment. Even though Kellen was sure, they should have been not far from the Shinny gate.
It was then that they both realized that had not heard Kiera's voice since earlier. Simultaneously, the two of them looked at Kiera who was behind them. The girl sat motionless on the horse she was riding.
In the darkness, Kiera's eyes seemed to shine, the girl's hand was straight up with a drawn sword in her hand. Keannan and Aaegon immediately realized that what they had been worried about had happened. The forces of darkness started arriving earlier.
A clear light was seen emitting from the tip of the Joye Sword spreading across the sky. Now Kiera's hands were fully raised to form a straight line with the girl's body.
Immediately, Aaegon and Kellen were standing with their backs to each other to protect each other. Meanwhile, they were keeping an eye on Kiera who was protecting the invisible boundary that covered the alliance territory.
Kellen realized that they had to get to the center of Shinny as soon as possible, which is the main gate connecting darkness and the world, so that Kiera could protect the gate to the fullest. Because if Kiera kept fighting from here, there was a high possibility, the connecting gate could be broken through by the forces of darkness.
