"Kiera!"
In one leap, Adam, who was farthest away from Kiera, was already at the girl's side and took her in his arms. Twice Adam nearly lost Kiera. He almost couldn't believe that Kiera was in front of him now.
One moments ago, Adam thought that he would lose his life without having the chance to meet and say goodbye to the girl now in his arms. Previously, Adam was desperate and almost gave up, all those feelings immediately disappeared when he saw Kiera.
Now the young man felt so relieved. Adam didn't have to worry about anything anymore with Kiera beside him. All fear seemed to disappear from him. Apparently the girl had become a source of worry for Adam that he had never had before.
Adam remembered the first time he almost lost Kiera, after they had found Keannan. At that time, Adam already felt that he could not bear to lose Kiera and he preferred to accompany the girl in all the moment. However, at that time Adam had not realized how much Kiera meant to him.
The second time was the hardest time for Adam, when he had to leave Kiera while the girl had yet back her soul to her body. Adam was willing to leave Kiera and the Red Land even then for the safety of the girl. Adam didn't want the darkness to enter their world while Kiera's soul had not returned because the girl's soul might be carried away and lost into the world of darkness.
Now Kiera was in his arms. The girl who in an instant had entered so far into Adam's life without him realizing it. Someone he didn't expect to meet again at that time. In this chaotic situation, Adam swore in his heart, no matter what happened he would always be by Kiera's side. Adam felt that he could no longer afford to be away from Kiera without knowing the girl's condition.
Kiera could understand what Adam was feeling and allowed the young man to release his relief. She could feel Adam's sincerity in all its simplicity. Kiera knew that even her teacher and father would give their lives to protect her without thinking twice if it was needed. But, Adam was the first person who would definitely give up everything for Kiera, even before the young man thought what he should do.
"Don't disappear again without my permission, Kiera! Never disappear again! No matter what happens, stay in my sights. I will always be by your side and be whatever you need me to be. So don't you dare disappear again!" Adam said while shaking Kiera's body.
"Yeah, but can you let me go now?" With a red face, Kiera said while moving away from Adam's embrace. She could feel the curious gazes of everyone present. Even though Kiera didn't mind, but she couldn't prevent the heat slowly creeping up her cheeks.
Kiera didn't realize everyone's amazed gazes were not only on her blushing cheeks. However, it was as if everyone was bewitched as they witnessed the brilliant, reddish light radiating from the girl's entire body. In fact, everyone in that place could faintly feel a warm feeling as it enveloped their hearts.
"You're not worried about your teacher, Adam?" With a choked voice in his throat, Aaegon patted Adam and Kiera's shoulder. Just like Kiera, Aaegon could feel what was in Adam's mind.
For Aaegon, Adam and Kiera are his world. Aaegon already considers both of them as his own children. He also probably wouldn't be able to feel the loss he would feel if one of the two of them disappeared before him.
As if connected to Aaegon's thoughts, Adam and Kiera immediately grabbed Aaegon's hand and held their hands together. Meanwhile, Kellen, who was already at Keannan's side, grabbed the young man's shoulder. There was a feeling that could not be explained in his heart, when he witnessed the closeness of the three people in front of him.
