Chapter 35 - After the dust settles

"Sadie says:

Did something happen at practice today?

My brother is strange and stinking"

Gabriel looked at the computer screen releasing a heavy sigh. The memory of the kiss that Nicolas had given in Milles to provoke him never left his mind.

It was the first time he saw two boys kissing, and for some reason it made him strange.

Very strange.

His team-mate had said moments before the catastrophe that Nicolas was also gay. His head devised the possibility of the captain having some feeling for Theodore, and the fact that he kissed Milles without blinking proved that the little one had no problem liking other boys.

Had he kissed Theodore too?

Shaking his head, the brunette scratches his eyes forcing his attention to return to the open MSN.

"Gabriel says:

Why? I have the slight impression that your brother was never normal

Sadie says:

Truth haha

Only he's too quiet for someone loud

Gabriel says:

It must be fatigue from race week, and training today was heavy

Let him rest and he'll be back to normal."

It wasn't hard to lie to Sadie after he promised Milles nothing should be said. Such a request was understandable, since the player always made jokes about Nicolas and Theodore. Imagine if other people found out he was kissed?

Gabriel could visualize how much damage that secret could cause in school. It was better to keep it a secret, since they were the only ones present on the court.

Continuing to browse the internet, the brunette tried to distract himself. Which did not work when a known window opened on his screen.

"Milles says:

Are you still there?

Gabriel says:

Yes.

How are you?

Milles is typing in...

Milles says:

Don't ask difficult questions

I have no idea what to think, and it seems that precisely because I want to stay in my people are in my neck.

Gabriel says:

=/

I'm waiting for Theodore to come in so I can talk to him, but so far nothing

Milles says:

Fuck those two guys

I'm pissed that little guy did that to me."

Gabriel had let out a low laugh. Of course Milles would be angry with Nicolas, however he expected this reaction at the time of the event and not after. The alpha blonde had been so stunned by the kiss, that the soul seemed to have abandoned the body and his body had exhaled a different smell. He had not said a word when he entered the dressing room, going to the showers and bathing silently.

He had said goodbye to Gabriel when he had met his sister at the school gate, these being the few words that were exchanged. He was serious, his eyes lifeless and his mouth bruised from the bite he had taken from Nicolas.

A curious reaction from Milles, perceived Gabriel.

"Gabriel says:

Can I be honest with you?

Milles says:

Go on.

Gabriel says:

I thought you were gonna tell the whole school that the captain did it, to provoke him...

Why do you want to keep it a secret?

Milles is typing in...

Milles says:

Because I wasn't able to do anything at the time.

If I did, they'd ask me why I left. I could've punched that little cap, but I didn't."

Leaning against the chair to cross his arms, Gabriel nodded. It made sense. The look of amazement of Milles at the time was priceless, this being the first time that anyone could make the alpha look that way.

Once again he remembered that scene so strange and uncomfortable. Gabriel bit his lower lip by pattering his fingers over his arm, pondering whether to ask the million-dollar question. He was afraid your friend would be elusive and tell him to fuck off, but he wanted to know.

― Fuck, I'll ask.

Adjusting to the chair, his fingers began to type quickly.

"Gabriel says:

I want to ask you something, I'm not gonna make fun of you, and I don't want to pressure you. It's just my curiosity, if you don't want to talk I'll understand

Milles says:

What?

Gabriel says:

What's it like being kissed by another boy?

Milles is typing in...

Milles says:

Can I answer you tomorrow at school?

My dad's calling me now, so I'm gonna need to leave

Gabriel says:

Of course, of good

Milles says:

I'm not running away! Don't think shit

And again, don't tell anyone about this.

Gabriel says:

Relax, I got your back."

After Milles had left the chat, Gabriel gasped loudly stroking his own forehead. Looking at the clock, he had a feeling Theodore wouldn't be in the chat room that night.

He just wanted to ask.

A single question that hammered his head as much as the image of catastrophe. For there was another image that tormented him as much as that...

Now this, the kiss of Nicolas and Milles had happened because of a statement. A statement that had left Theodore pale and speechless, almost trying to get away from him.

Did Theodore like Gabriel?

With his hand on his chest, he could still feel his heart beating fast just remembering the feeling of that afternoon. He had felt anxious for some inexplicable reason, and now questions surrounded him incessantly.

What would him do if that were true?

If Theodore liked him, what should he do?

Maybe ask how it happened? Or else warn him that they are just friends? That was Theodore's answer that afternoon, that the two are just friends. Even if the omega denied, the funny sensation had taken Gabriel's chest.

The boy had tilted his head back, staring at the ceiling. Once again he had bitten his lower lip trying to organize his thoughts. This act reminded him of a certain event in the classroom.

Taking the headset and adjusting it, Gabriel searched the internet for a certain song he had heard once. Slowly the melody sounded low in his ears, carrying the memory of Theodore sitting on his wallet watching the rain fall outside.

How quiet he seemed to see the rain, with that smile on his face. Lost in his own thoughts, Gabriel remembered the reddish tone taking Theodore's face and the moment he bit his lower lip.

"I'm making him nervous" thought Gabriel the moment he noticed Theodore's nervous fingers on his lap. And then his fingers rose to touch the lower lip of the blonde, feeling the softness over his digit.

That feeling, the feeling at that moment. The funny sensation that seemed to tingle in his chest, making him hold on to the sudden desire that music had provided.

Now that he remembered that moment, Gabriel wondered how soft Theodore's lips would be. Closing his eyes, his mind had worked hard to bring out the moments that those two friends shared.

However what made his body react so strangely were the memories in which he touched Theodore. The day he helped him hide in the locker room, holding him against himself in a tight embrace. They were close enough to smell him, feel your heart beating fast in the palm of your hand, and your breath go wild.

There was no other time when those two got so close like that.

Opening his eyes, Gabriel had looked at his own hands that were warm and reddish, as if all the warmth of the body was concentrated there. Only it would not be the case, because it felt the whole body warm.

Realizing what was about to happen, Gabriel tore off the headphones and got up from the chair marching in haste to the bathroom.

He needed a cold shower before something embarrassing happened.
