Chapter 19 - The crown...

"Haha, haha" Noah, who was standing behind Vincent, laughed abruptly …

"Is this a joke? of course, if someone wants to gift me something so nice, should I not kindly accept it with joy.", Noah pursed his lips and mockingly asked.

Vincent didn't pay any attention to their naive squabble and traced the rim of the crown with his gloved fingers. he couldn't help but think that this crown would suit that feisty woman, it would make a nice adornment for those silver hair of hers, though he was immediately shocked at his own thoughts. He raised his head and stared coldly at the people around him, making them almost shudder with cold sweat.

He stood up from his position and turned to look at Cordelia…

"My dear lady, it seems it is time for me to leave. Thank you for inviting me to witness this thrilling game. We shall meet you in the evening, at the ball." Vincent said while slightly nodding his head and preparing to leave.

But it wasn't Cordelia, who was currently unassumingly watching us, that answered me, instead it was a very rude person who dared to block me.

"Lord Vildar do really have the heart to leave behind such disheartened crowd behind.", Armond said with a hint of defiance in his tone.

Vincent raised his eyebrows at Armond, who doesn't need an introduction to highlight his fame or is it infamy, 'huh! How can a dog run to bite anyone without his owner's generous intentions. But still a dog remains a dog.' Vincent sneered to himself. "What can I do to remedy their misery, I am not a judge or even a philanthropist.", He still kindly asked.

Armond looked at Vincent with a deep look, and a hint of hatred flashed through his eyes which he quickly covered up with a poker face. "Why doesn't the lord accept my challenge for a duel, we will bet on that crown, we can both choose a weapon and whoever wins will take that crown. In this way you can rightfully justify your ownership for that crown." He spat.

"Oh, why should I go through so much hassle when this thing is already mine", Vincent asked as passed the crown to Noah to keep safe.

"Lord Vincent, why don't you just agree to this humble person's request. Anyway, it won't cause you any harm and perhaps we will have unexpected results from this duel." Armond insisted with a smile, without seeming to feel an ounce of shame.

"How interesting, you should just agree with his request Vincent." Cordelia said with a playful smile.

Vincent laughed when she said that while giving Armond a distasteful look, he signaled towards Noah with a meaningful gaze, who thereafter quietly left the scene and went away with the crown.

"Aren't you very eager for a fight" Vincent tutted and unexpectedly kicked Armond in his shin, while baring his sword and ruthlessly attacking him head on.

Armond quickly defended himself and as the two blades clashed sparks flew all over due to the harsh collision of metal.

"This duel started the moment you challenged me", Vincent snorted.
