Astrid smiled nonchalantly without looking at Vincent, she just stood up from her position and elegantly stroked her pale fingers along the dark green velvet of her dress on her thighs. Her back was perfectly straight, and her shoulders squared, she twisted her hip and sauntered towards the dry bar in the corner.
Her dress molded along with beautiful curves, enhancing her figure and a small train from hem swayed along with her. She turned up a wine glass on the counter and skillfully poured some red wine into it. She slowly swirled her glass and took in the enticing aroma coming from it. She brought the glass to her lips and took only a small sip from her glass, not forgetting the lesson she learned the last time she drank some wine.
Astrid raised her eyebrows and said, "You were saying…"
Elena was deeply amused by her attitude, while Noah admired her courage, because of the way she could talk to Vincent without getting any cold feet.
Vincent just sneered at her arrogant yet graceful display of her chic style. "I said nothing… I think."
"Oh, then why do I think someone was rudely questioning about my manner.", Astrid scoffed as she walked towards Vincent and leaned into ears from behind his back, and whispering, "was it again a ghost talking to me."
again... huh, as if it happened before, he thought.
Vincent was still a little dazed by her sudden nearness and tip of his ears turned slightly red. But while he was not paying attention, Astrid quietly placed a small & sharp, yet lethal silver hair pin on his carotid arteries. His eyes darkened immediately, and anger simmered in their depths.
Noah and Elena instantly pointed their blades at her, and she laughed, not moving, just laughed.
"What a touching scene." Astrid whispered again in his ears, she knew she was playing with fire, but she absolutely enjoyed the process, and she was a quick learner at that too, after all this style wasn't her own…
Vincent sat still like a mountain, never in his life was he insulted like this before. He looked at his aides and said with gloomy face, "Both of you can leave."
Elena looked at Vincent, then at Noah who signaled her to leave with him, then angrily threw a knife in the direction of Astrid, which passed by an inch from near her and went straight into the wall behind her, leaving only its hilt in the naked sight. After doing this she marched out with big strides.
As soon as she left, Vincent twisted the tip of the hair pin with his mana, grabbed its owner's wrist with force and pulled her from behind him over the back of the sofa and in a quick movement pinned her beneath himself.
"You think you can do anything if I let you be." Vincent growled as he grabbed her jaw and pulled her face near him.
"What can I do, I am really tired from your incessant blabbering." She spoke.
When He saw her smiling an innocently sarcastic smile, he tightened his grip on her wrist and suddenly let them go as if they were some kind of a snake. Moving away from her.
"Huh, Woman don't test my patience. I am not this nice all the time. And Be sure to dress nicely tonight. I will come to pick you up later." He said as he pulled her cheeks and went out of the room.
