Chapter 21 - Chapter 20.

Multiple POV's.

James's POV.

Sitting behind a grand desk made of the finest wood, stained with the best wood stain available. Sitting on the most extravagant and pompous chair one could find sat James's Williams.

He was looking through the contracts of all the new rising stars that his company or rather he had successfully stolen from Eve.

A dark gleam flashed across his eyes as he licked his lips.

"Oh, Eve soon you will be begging to be with me. Haha." I said as I sorted out the contracts.

Nothing would stand in my way from obtaining you, and then once I had my fill and fun, I will throw you away to my subordinates and let them have their fill.

"You're a prize worth obtaining. But I do get tired of my toys eventually."

As I was having my dreams a knock at the door woke me and got me back on focus, sadly.

"Come in." I said in a commanding voice.

The man that I had keeping watch over Eve came barging in trying to catch his breath. However, I was not pleased, how dare he leave his post. It is something extremely important.

"What are you doing here!" I bellowed.

"Sir she is having lunch with that 'man' and is having a really good time. He even gave her flowers." He said in a panic.

"What!" How dare she have a good time with 'him'. Also, I was told that she was allergic to flowers.

"That fucking prick!" I yelled grabbing my coat and rushing out of my office.

"Follow me, now!" How dare she have a romantic outing, not on my watch.

A sinister smile formed on my lips.

Eve's POV.

After around a twenty-minute car rid we had finally made it to our destination.

It was a quaint little restaurant, almost like a hidden gem.

[FLOWER GARDEN.]

"I have never been here. I can't wait to try it." I said happily.

"One of my friends said the food was great here so I thought about bringing you here so we can try it out."

I smiled faintly not wanting to give to much of my enthusiasm away. I still had to make him work for it.

He opened my door for me and we both headed inside. We were seated right away and the hostess was very sweet. She made sure that we had everything we needed.

However the peculiar thing was that she was really respectful to Zach, to an almost frightening degree.

'Weird.' I thought.

We ordered our food Zach got a pasta and I ordered a chicken salad. Both were very good.

Our conversation was light and fluffy, he asked me about my life for the past few years and any hard times or people that wanted to do me harm.

"Well, you already met all of them, didn't you?" I said knowing full well that he knew it was just my family that hated me and James Williams.

"I'm sorry I should have been there for you. I should have made time." He spoke.

"Look we already talked about this didn't we. We were both at fault so stop beating yourself up over it, ok."

I said placing my hand atop his and staring into his eyes.

However as if fate had other plans, I heard the annoying and croaky voice of James Williams blasting through the room.

"Eve! Where the hell are you! Come out here right now!" He yelled without a care in the world for the other customers.

My hand started to shake in pure rage this was ridiculous. Zach put his hand atop mine and calmed me down.

He just smiled at me, and I then knew that everything was going to be fine.

"Ahh! There you are." James said as he found us.

"Shit." I said under my breath. This was going to ruin our lunch I just knew it.
