Chapter 7 - Chapter 6.

Both Eve and Zach's POV.

Zach POV.

"How could you invite this piece of trash into our home."

"Grandfather he has no standing and is a nobody. Clearly it is best to not have him in our family."

"Just kick him out."

As soon as I stepped into the room all of their stares and contemptment were directed towards me. They immideitly started yelling at me and complaining to grandfather.

"SILENCE!" Grandfather yelled as he slammed his hand down on the coffee table.

"BAM!"

Everyone immedietly quietend down. No one wanted to anger grandfather especially since he held all the power in the family and could disinheret anyone he wanted.

Ever since they started yelling at me i just let it go in one ear and out thr other. It would be way to petty of me to get upset and confrontational at them especially since i have been absent from my wife's life all this time.

In a sence I desereved their hate. I may have been able to earn their favor and trust if i stayed with Eve, or at least visitied multiple times a year.

Guess we will never know.

"I will not hear anymore about this matter. He stays, that's final." Grandfather said with passion.

Everyone in my 'new family' didn't put up a fight against what grandfather said.

His position to me at lea

st seemed insermountable. Though I could definetly feel the greedy eyes of his two sons vying for his death.

It hurt me inside to see and I am sure that grandfather is well aware of what his sons wish for.

As I was lost in my thoughts about how this so called 'family' treated grandfather, the double doors to the family room opend. A smile immedietly sprouted upon my face.

Eve was here and she looked even more beautiful than i remembered.

"Hey." Was all I could say to her, and it squeaked out of my mouth like a prepubescent kid going through puberty.

****

Eve's POV.

As soon as the door opened and I laid eyes upon him, my heart skipped several beats.

'He looked a lot better than what I remembered.' I thought as my cheeks turned rosey.

"Hey." Zach squaked out in a very cute way that almost made me laugh.

"Hey back." I said as I tucked a loose piece of hair behind my ear.

"Y-you look beautiful." He said.

Even though we weren't really the standard married couple, and Zach basically was gone all the time and I only saw him maybe once or twice in all the years we were married. After our wedding night.

'Oh stop thinking indecent thoughts Eve. Especially now!'

I couldn't help but see he slightest bit of a amile forming on his face, as though he knew what i was thinking of.

"Stop it." I accidentally said outloud with a pout.

Everyone stopped and stared at me. All of them were probably thinking that I was crazy. The only one who didn't was Zach, he just had a victorious smile on his face.

Like he had just won.

It really pissed me off. When I looked at my grandfather he just had the most joyous smile immaginable. It made all my anger and thoughts melt away.

I really love my grandfather.

Not bothering to continue listening to my ignorant and lousy family members I bee lined straight for Zach.

Less than a second later I was standing in front of him as he sat of his small section on the couch.

"Hey stranger." I said.

"Hey back stranger."

"Care to follow me to the backyard for a bit."

"Sure." I put out my hand for him to grab. When he did sparks started to fly and my head got all fuzzy.

It was all I could do to pull him to the backyard, not minding all the stares from my family.
