Chapter 8 - Chapter 7.

Zach's POV.

It was so sureal.

Never in a million years did I think that my beautiful wife would so bodly take my hand in hers and drag me outside.

It was night time now and the stars were starting to glow. The moon gave off its beautiful pale white light, illuminating Eve's person.

She looked breathtaking.

"I was very surprised when I came home to see you sitting with my family." She said as the moonlight casted it's favor over her.

"You can thank your grandfather for that. He basically threatened me to fly home." I said.

Only after the words left my mouth did I realise that they probably sounded harsh and that I didnt want to be here with her.

Sure enough when I looked back at her, the moonlight had dimmed and her face took on a solem expression.

"I'm sorry that's not what I meant. I just never wanted to get in your way, and mess up your life." I said as I put my head down.

"It's okay I understand where you are coming from. The night we met I did complain a lot and told you I basically just wanted a husband in name only. I put the thoughts in your head about staying away."

I looke up and the moonlight was back. However I could hear the pain in her voice still. I dont think she will ever forgive herself for something that both of us are to be blames for.

"We should have talked and communicated more. It's on both of us." I said as I wrapped her in a tight enmbrace.

This was the first time that I had hugged her, besides our wedding night. It felt good and homey.

A few seconds later after the hug had grown awkward, we separated and she asked me what she originally brought me out here about.

"I assume that my grandfather told you about what my parents are trying to do." She said in full on serious mode.

"Yes he did... How can I help." I said.

She looked at me deeply, very deep, into my soul deep and gave me a straight faced and heartfelt answer.

"Just be here by my side and be my husband." She said.

"Done."

She smiled the brightest smile I have ever seen from her and wrapped me in a bear hug quickly before letting go.

"Thank you. Now let's head back before my family yells even more at us." She said.

Once again she took my hand and walked me back into the family room where the rest of the family were still passionetly aruging/ talking with grandfather.

"Oh thank good you are finally back. I hope that 'thing' didn't do anything to you." He mother said.

Her name was Jasmine. She really didn't like me since I was what stood in the way of marrying her daughter off and getting a wealthier standing.

I just silently smiled at her and the rest of the family while Eve led both of us to the love seat and sat down. I sat down right after her.

Eve took a deep breath and then looked at everyone as her gaze became cold.

"Mother, everyone I am not nor will I ever get a divorce from my husband Zach and that is final." She said in a commanding tone.

Everyone was startled at her response, they really didnt expect that answer.

Her cousin who's name was Tim looked over at me with a wrathfull expression on his face. He was not happy one bit.

I could even sense that he wanted me dead as his bloodlust slipped out.

All I did was smile at him, trying to come off as inocent and harmless as possible. I didnt want any bloodshed.

Especially if they were Eve's family.
