Two women walked out of the airport in very expensive business clothes. Both of them had an air or importance about them, however one woman's air seemed denser than the others.
She was wearing a black fitted skirt with a very nice white blouse. Her hair was done up in a ponytail.
She walked ahead of the other woman. As they moved through the airport people couldn't help but stop and stare at them.
"They are staring again madam." The other woman said.
"Let them. It's not like they can do anything to us."
Both of them made it outside the terminal and what awaited them was a long and beautiful black limoscene with five bodyguards standing, waiting for her.
When they saw her the five bodyguards bowed in respect and said in unison.
"Welcome back home Young Miss!"
She didn't say anything and walked towards the limoscene, one of the guards hastily opened the door for her and both her and her assistant got into the vehicle.
Inside sat an older gentleman dressed in an expensive one-of-a-kind white suit with a watch encased in diamonds.
"Hello, Grandfather, I didn't expect you to come and get me yourself." The woman said with a happy smile.
"Of course, I would come and get my one and only granddaughter."
Both of them smiled at each other, neither one willing to submit. The tension in the car rose til it was nearly suffocating.
Finally, Eve spoke up, breaking the tension.
"What is wrong grandfather." Eve said averting her eyes.
The old man sighed and shook his head a little bit. Preparing for what he had to say next.
"Your parents have been pushing more and more for you to get a divorce from Zach."
Eve sucked in a breath as her heart skipped a beat.
'Shit. That means that they found other suitors with a lot of money for me to marry.'
Now Eve never loved her husband Zach, and he never loved her. It was an arranged marriage set up between her grandfather and one of his old buddies from the army.
However, it was the perfect arrangement for her. Zach never once bothered her after their wedding night and was constantly deployed or living somewhere else. In fact, Eve has only seen him twice in passing since their wedding.
She didn't bother him, and he never bothered her, it was the perfect arrangement. Which is why she always fought getting a divorce. That and because she always had a hard time finding him and getting in contact.
Seeing the hesitation on her face the old man spoke.
"Would you like me to find him for you. I know you really haven't seen him since the wedding."
Eve looked up at her grandfather as her thoughts stopped flowing. All she could see was his absolute love for her. It made her heart warm.
"Yes, please grandfather. It isn't fair to have this conversation without all parties involved."
Her grandfather smiled and spoke. "Of course. Leave it to me sweetheart."
Eve smiled and didn't say anything else she just closed her eyes to try and catch a small nap.
