Kiarra left after talking with her best friend for a while. She returned to class and acted as though nothing happened. For the entire day she didn't make a rukus or act arrogant.
Everyone was highly catious because a miracle is not enough to describe this change. Max was especially wary of her because he knew this was just the calm before the storm.
At the end of school, Max offered to escort Monica home but she told him she is going with the bus.
Priya was walking towards the bus stop with her best friend Chris when she spotted Monica in the distance.
"Monica..." Priya called out to her as she headed in her direction.
"Big sister..." Monica greeted Priya with a hug. "So this is the girl that got my little bro attention " Chris said as he gave Max a wink.
Chris is the oldest brother to Max and the best friend to Kiarra's brother. Their family go back a long way and are also business partners.
"Brother.." Max called out in a tone signifying him to not joke around.
"I'm just kidding...so Monica nice to meet you, I'm Chris" Chris introduced himself with a handshake.
"Hi..." Monica returned his handshake. "You really have great taste bro..." Chris laughed as he nudged Max with his elbow.
"Brother can you stop joking around...we only just met and are good friends isn't that enough" Max said with a raised eyebrow.
"Okay...okay...I just got to see the talk of the school, after all it isn't every new moon we got to see Max with a girl"
"I'll be on my way, I got football practice...call me when you get home" Chris said to Max as he hurried off.
"Goodbye Priya...we'll talk later" He screamed from a distance before vanishing into the crowd.
"So Monica, I heard the bus isn't coming...Will you go with me?" Priya asked Monica.
"Dont worry I'll drop her...um...we still need to plan for our project so...you know..."Max replied before Monica got the chance to answer.
"Um...okay, tell mum I'll be late tonight I'll be at Jessicas' " Priya said before bidding goodbye and leaving the lost Monica.
'I didn't even get to consider before big sister replied, am I really that scary for even big sister to abandon me with someone I just met' Monica thought to herself.
"I'll be right back...let me get our ride" Max said.
"Okay..." Monica replied before sitting on a nearby bench.
Some group of boys who where ridding a car sped past Monica and a huge rock came crashing at Monica's forehead.
The rock collided with full force which sent Monica crashing down from the bench. It happened too suddenly as Monica was not able to identify the passengers.
She tried to get up but was knocked back down with a throbbing pain in her head before she lost consciousness.
By now a crowd has formed around her but people where hesitant to take action as many of them don't know her by face even with the rumors going around.
"MONICA"
It was at this time that many realised this us the rumored Monica when they saw Max running towards her from his bike.
"WHAT HAPPENED" Max screamed as he helped Monica up.
Max was burning in rage as he just left Monica and now he came back to see her in this state...how was he to answer to Priya??
"Um...I think I saw a car sped pass her and um...I don't really know what happened.
One of the student spoke up when she noticed the burning rage within him.
Max couldn't be.bothered about anything else as he rushed Monica to the school's hospital.
Monica injury was no light scratch. The stone was thrown with full force together with the speed so the impact was severe.
Max was asked to wait outside while the nurses attended to Monica. Few minutes later, Peter and Priya rushed in with a panicked expression.
"Where's Monica...how is she?" Priya asked with a panicked expression. Peter went forward and threw a lunch at him, he grabbed Max by the collar before saying...
"What happened to my sister, what did you do to her...you couldn't even watch her for a few seconds how the f*ck did you become a boy" Peter roared at Max.
