Chapter 16 - Speculations

Isabel woke up on the day of the biology exam feeling both nervous and excited.

She had spent the previous night studying with Maria, and she felt confident about her preparation.

She picked out a comfortable outfit, a pair of jeans and a light sweater, and ate a healthy breakfast to fuel her for the day ahead.

As she waited for the car to take her to school, she couldn't help but think about William's face. She had caught herself staring at him several times during their study sessions, admiring his handsome features and the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled.

She even found herself absentmindedly tracing his face with her fingers as she studied. She couldn't deny that she was attracted to him, but she knew that nothing could ever happen between them.

He was a mafia prince, and she was just a student.

Just then, the car arrived, and Isabel was escorted to school by some bodyguards. As they drove, she couldn't help but feel self-conscious.

She knew that people were staring at her, wondering why a student like her was being driven to school in a luxurious car with bodyguards.

She could hear the whispers and gossip about her, speculating that she was either seducing a rich guy or had a sugar daddy.

Isabel tried to ignore the rumors and focus on the task at hand.

She arrived at school, feeling a bit frazzled but determined to do her best. As she walked into the exam room, she saw Maria sitting at her desk, looking nervous.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Isabel asked, taking her seat next to Maria.

"I'm so nervous. I feel like I'm going to fail," Maria said, wringing her hands.

"Don't worry, we studied hard last night. You'll do great," Isabel said, trying to reassure her friend.

As the exam began, Isabel focused all her attention on the questions in front of her. She blocked out all the distractions and tried to recall everything she had learned over the past few weeks.

She felt confident about most of the questions, but there were a few tricky ones that made her doubt her answers.

As the exam came to a close, Isabel handed in her paper and took a deep breath.

She had done all she could, and now it was up to the teacher to grade her work. She felt relieved that it was over and hoped that she had done well.

As she left the exam room, Isabel noticed that the gossip and rumors had only gotten worse. She heard people whispering behind her back, and she knew that they were talking about her.

She felt frustrated and angry that people could be so judgmental and cruel.

She tried to brush it off and focus on the positive, reminding herself that she had done her best on the exam and that was what mattered.

Isabel got back into the car, feeling tired and drained. She knew that she had a lot to think about and process, but for now, she just wanted to rest and forget about the drama surrounding her.

As the car drove away, Isabel couldn't help but think about William's face again and the way he had looked at her during their study sessions. She wondered what he would say if he knew about all the gossip and rumors surrounding her.
