The next morning, Isabel woke up to find a text from William on her phone. He apologized for not calling her the previous night and explained that he had to travel unexpectedly to Italy and then to China for an important business meeting. Isabel felt a mix of relief and frustration. She was relieved to hear that William was okay, but frustrated that he had left without telling her.
She replied to his message, telling him that she was glad he was safe and that she had been worried about him. She also asked when he would be coming back. William replied that he wasn't sure yet, but that he would keep her updated.
Isabel spent the rest of the day feeling restless and anxious. She missed William and wished he was there with her. She tried to distract herself by studying and reading, but her mind kept wandering back to thoughts of him.
As the day turned into night, Isabel decided to take a walk around the mansion's gardens to clear her mind. She walked through the neatly trimmed hedges and flower beds, enjoying the peace and quiet. As she walked, she thought about William and how much she had grown to care for him.
She realized that she wanted to be more than just a student to him. She wanted to be someone he could rely on, someone who could support him through his difficult and busy life. She also knew that she had to be patient and wait for him to return.
As she made her way back to the mansion, Isabel felt a sense of peace and clarity. She knew that she would wait for William, no matter how long it took.
