I'm bored. I want some action.
I am currently in a magical universe. Which includes everything that a fantasy world can provide. It's been three months since me and Ayna met. Also, my AI Alice is now activated. Which means no voices.
You must be wondering how I still have my AI.
The reason is simple. By making the chip use my own brain's processing power I sort of just made it a personality of mine. One that is completely subservient to me and only me. There are some protocols that only I know about which allows me to control the AI.
And now that it is using up the processing power of my brain that are untapped by me, all the other personalities are beginning to quiet down. Which is good because it allows me/my AI, Alice to do some intricate calculations.
What calculations do I need to do now? You'll figure that out later.
Anyway, I am bored. So here we are. Near the border. I have Ayna with me to carry me in her baby carrier bag. It is very comfortable. I even had it custom made. Well, custom made was the only option here though. You can't expect there to be a Walm*rt in a fantasy world tiny town.
"Rick, are you sure about this?"
Oh please. I am a baby, sure. But I am not a liar. All I said is true.
"Okay then. No one is here except us. Do a demonstration then."
Fine. You will be my carrier the entire time. Can't let you freak out over no reason.

Ayna Pov.
When Rick asked me to accompany him in order to hunt some beasts. I was skeptical.
I mean, he is a tiny baby that is 5 months old. There is a limit to how stupid his lies can get.
The re-incarnation part is somewhat believable. I can hear his head. It is definitely not the head of a baby. But I guess that is somewhat believable because I have heard about weirder stuff that my father personally experienced. Compared to those incidents, this is a day in the park.
I heard him explain an incident where multiple people went inside an ancient ruin in search of treasures. After they came back, they all transformed into hideous monsters. He had to investigate the matter after wards.
I also remember one of the people in the town who had incestuous relations with almost every member of his extended family. EXTENDED FAMILY that had about a hundred members.
Well, his case is different but still horrible and weird. Yuck, I stopped going to that part of the town forever after reading his mind. I could use some sanity after watching that.
So, I have some experience with weird. But this is just too much. He can't possibly expect me to believe that a 5-month-old baby is going to slaughter scary beasts such as wind-wolves and shadow-panthers that we were taught to stay clear of since we were babies.
Alright let's test him a little bit.
"Rick, are you sure about this?"
And he knows what I'm talking about. So, he agrees.
He told me to show him a target. A target which he will shoot his magic at.

That is my emotion right now. What? How?
How did he do that? I didn't know any element that could do that. What element is that?
I asked him what element it was. And he simply replied. The element wasn't even that rare. It is actually one of the more common rare elements. How did he do that then? No one could do that.
He asked me, "Am I ready to kill some wolves now?"

Rick Pov
Her reaction was priceless. It was so funny. Her mouth was slightly agape and her eyes wide open. She probably still didn't understand what happened. So funny.
We are here though. We reached the edge of the forest. There is a big wall that prevents any large number of beasts from coming in. Using earth magic, it is pretty easy to make a wall this big. But the problem is getting the rocks and materials necessary to build such a thing.
The wall is strong though. They used a binding agent that is somewhat similar to cement. They use lime, clay and a specific potion in a tiny amount to make the blend. After that, use fire magic for a while and voila, you have cement. Or a version of it. They also have to pour in a lot of mana as well. The more the mana inside and the longer it is provided with mana the better. Which means using earth magic in a special way. The masons know about it in much more detail. Otherwise, weak structures will be broken easily by the beasts. The walls need to be really strong.
So, you must understand that we are currently in a pickle. We have to go past this wall and be leave no trace of our coming and going. And also, no. We can't just dig below the wall. It was made very deep.
So, what do we do?
Simple, do what I just did some time ago to impress Ayna, Use my magic.
The tip of my index finger glows slightly. I make a rectangular motion with that finger. Ta-da. Now there is a rectangular glowing line on the wall.
Because the wall is too thick, there is no movement or problem on the wall.
Ayna, please push it a little. Or should I use magic again?
"Use magic. The wall is too thick. I won't be able to move the block."
Ok then. I used a simple earth magic. [Push]
My hands didn't glow this time though. The block of stone slowly slid forward. And we had an opening to go through.
We went through.
After crossing the wall, I simply did the reverse and put the wall block back in its place.
After that we entered the forest.
We are still in the outskirts of the forest. We will have to go quite further inside to find some animals to kill. I am excited for the first time after being born after coming here.
Ayna, stay vigilant. We are surrounded by tiny animals. Try to feel them. Also, don't say anything from now on. Listen to what I say and keep your focus on the surroundings.
We focus on our surroundings. I try to think of the best passive spell to help us navigate this place. The problem is that so many predators are masters at camouflage and creeping silently. It is hard to make a proper investigation spell. So, I just decided to go with a fluctuating x-ray as the investigative method.
[X-ray sonar]
The spell made small x-ray pulses that spread out around us.
After that I convert the reflected harmful light and turn it into a 3d image of black and white. It is like sonar but using x-ray.
This made me see the forest in a completely different way.
Ayna, turn around. Start going back.
"Wha..."
Shut up and stay quiet stupid. We are surrounded.
She simply shut up. But before we could start going back, the pack that is surrounding us decided to come out in the open.
Wind-wolves.
The weakest of all the magical beasts living here. Fitting for a noob. Also, my main target for coming here.
The wind-wolves look exactly like normal wolves from a thousand years ago. But these look a bit malnourished. Well, this is fairly close to the wall. These must be the ones who couldn't survive deep inside the forests.
"Rick, do your thing. Kill them."
Hmm, gimme a moment. I want all of them to come out. Better to get rid of them all at once.
The wolves came close.
Closer.
Closer.
They start to circle us slowly. Their steps silent despite the dry leaves.
Their eyes glowing.
The winds start to become active. Reacting to the emotions of the wind-wolves.
Their hunger, caution, and most of all, Bloodlust.
Suddenly, all of them spring at the same time. From all directions all at once.
And then two circular beams spread out with the two of us at its center. No one could see them since they were going at the speed of light as they were simply light.
One at an angle the other horizontal to the ground.
And for a second, nothing seemed to change.
And that was until the wolves landed.
The upper part of their body slid to the front, but the part connected to the legs did not.
A wolf's head rolled and touched Ayna's leg. Its eyes glossed over. The head still warm.
The air became stagnant and calm from its previously chaotic state just a second ago now that no one was fueling it with mana.
'Well, that was a success. What do you say Ayna?
Ayna?'
And that's when she bent over and started puking.
'Ah shit. This scene is too gory even for a mature girl like her. The first contact is always the most revolting.'
"I'm alright Rick. This is just too disgusting."
'Get used to it kid. This will become stable in the future.'
"I see. Are you done here? I want to go back home."
'Sure. I am also tired right now. All this magic is a bit taxing on me. It would've been nice if I could see the interaction between mana and these corpses. But that can wait. Let's go home.'
I was also able to test my fifth element properly. [Light].
And that concluded my first adventure or slaughter of innocent animals. Any way you want to put it.
